What I really love about Ace is that it's not corporate HD or Lowe's where there are mass amount of people and isles that are packed with off shelf displays that are hard to maneuver around. AND Ace has really just about everything needed for household repairs or the top quality brands in power tools. They don't stock a lot of lumber products (if any??) and their sprinkler supplies are lacking a bit, BUT that has improved. Also, if you're into smoking meats, they have an incredible section of sauces, pellets, smoker hardware, and apparel. Love going to Ace! I had the receipt, the tool was in original packaging (yes, opened -- because how else do you find out it works?), and I repacked everything neatly. I was respectful the entire time -- just trying to return something that didn't work for my car. I had bought an impact drill to remove lug nuts, but it wasn't strong enough. Simple as that. I tested it once, realized it wasn't going to cut it, and brought it back in perfect condition. No damage, no wear, no nonsense. It just didn't have the right torque for what I needed. The day before, I specifically asked about the return policy. The guy told me, "90 days with a receipt." Plain and simple. I even said, "I might return it if it doesn't work or if I don't end up needing it." His response? "Just so you know, we don't rent tools." Like... thanks? I never said I was renting it. But okay, passive-aggressive much? Then when I actually come back to return it, he suddenly flips the script and says, "We don't accept open returns," and accuses me of trying to rent it. Wild assumption. Now he's putting words in my mouth and making up motives. And just to make it even more petty, he told his team to deny any future returns from me if I ever come back. Like, what?? That's just bizarre behavior over a standard return request. Instead of handling it professionally, he made it weirdly personal. Over a $160 tool that wasn't even broken. The managers name was Ryan. corporate needs to take a serious look at how this guy treats paying customers. He turned a simple return into some kind of power trip. Hope the $17/hour was worth the ego boost, champ.

Hobby Lobby is for burning a lot of time and keeping yourself entertained. Their stores are always really big and pretty well kept. The biggest thing is there is SO MUCH STUFF to look at. It seems every store has the same layout but I do still love exploring everything in there. It is tradition for me to make a big run here during Christmas because they have every Christmas decoration you can possibly think of. They really always have holiday decor but Christmas is definitely the most "all out" Hobby Lobby goes. The holiday decor is always to the left as you walk in but it tends to be spread around the store as well. I love how organized they keep it. They definitely keep things in themes (kitchen decor will be with each other, laundry room decor is all together, etc). They have the same sale tactics as like...Kohls. There is always a sale on top of the price tag, which is nice! They had wall decor for 40% off. I do miss their 40% coupon that they retired like a year ago. They also had a nice clearance section in which I was able to find a new condition canvas for $3! Thats a deal. I love coming in here just because there really is so much to look at and you can snag unnecessary things for your house. I also find it somewhat inspirational to get my shit together while I am in here; they have planners and pretty stuff that make me think that could possibly be my lifestyle. With this specific visit, one think that irked me a bit was the lack of mask enforcement. It is currently mandated in the county and I would like to see it being a bit more enforced. I kid you not, when I was in the store, there was a lady having a coughing fit right next to me without a mask on. Come on lady!! lol. It isn't even a specific store policy, it was mandated by the county and it is every business's job to make sure it is being followed.
