And, while the outer sign for "Van Heusen" remains, it is really a part of what's now PVH, a company owning Arrow, Van Heusen, Tommy Hilfiger, IZOD, and Calvin Klein. It's also hard to tellVan Heusen apart from the other stores it has bought out. Van Heusen has the stretchable dress fashions like Arrow; the rugged flannels of an Eddie Bauer, the mix of weekend-on-the-yacht leisurewear with week-at-the-office business suits and dressware of Tommy Hilfiger, the upscale frat-boyishness of IZOD, and the skinny-people-only-ness of Calvin Klein. Their clothes are very good, but the "deals" aren't much better than you could get online. And, the sizes skew small. Maybe there's a reason they only have two stores in the area!

After paying thousands of dollars for motorized roller shades, I have nothing on my windows. With a couple of exceptions, every single shade I purchased is in a storage room in my house. Conner measured all the windows (except for one) in a way that the motorized shades had to stick out of the windows, rather than sitting flush into the window casing. One or two of them couldn't be mounted at all because their size was so wrong. When he finished installing the ones that he could rig into place, he left electrical cords dangling in every single window with strange plugs (for which he charged me) to splice one cord into another. The shades rolled the wrong way so that they stuck out even more out of the window. The shades were inconsistently installed throughout the house, with different spacings, depths, etc. Up until this point, I was frustrated, but hopeful. I thought we could work things out so that they looked and worked better. I imagined that there had been a miscommunication. But that's when things got worse. I asked Conner to remove all but a few of the shades and work with me to get these installed properly. Conner, however, insisted that I pay him the remainder of the balance, because he thought he had completed the work. He said I would need to pay additional money to reinstall properly. He also suggested that he had done a favor to me by removing the ill-fitted shades without charging me for that service. I am now going to pay another installer to chisel out my window casings in order to fit Conner's shades into the window (as they were too big to sit back into the window casing). I also need to pay someone to automate them into the home automation system. I may also need to pay an electrician to rewire some things. To top it all off, and this is what caused me to leave this review, I have received subtly aggressive texts and emails from Conner demanding full payment before he has made even the few shades that remain operable. From his perspective, the job is done and he has earned every penny. I could never recommend him.

We were immediately greeted by a cheerful employee and when we said we were looking for shorts, she didn't skip a beat and asked "men's or women's sizes?" I loved that she didn't assume anytime. My wife wears men's pants and shorts almost exclusively and hates when people assume otherwise. It wasn't long before we had a few pair that my wife wanted to try on. We were hesitant, not knowing if dressing rooms were open yet-you know, Covid and all. Another employee noticed our hesitation and invited us to pick any room and go ahead and try them on. We ended up leaving with a couple pair of perfectly fitting Levi's. (I can call them that because they actually are Levi brand.) The price was a little steep-a little over 100 dollars for two pair. But from what I know about the brand, they should last awhile.

When you tell brides that they design the dress and then the dress will not be ready until a week or so before the wedding you put them in the position that if the dress isn't what they wanted they really are out of time to find something different and are essentially they stuck with whatever you came up with, great for business bad for brides. My daughters dress was nice but not at all what we wanted and expected when we paid for it, you final appointment is a joke, you aren't actually listening to the bride and if they say not to make and alteration don't make that specific alteration. I'm sure working with brides and mothers can be taxing and mentally draining. Do not tell these Brides that you will make what they want when in the end it's not actually what they wanted. Since it was a Saturday It would be shipped until Monday, and stated would she please rush this shipment in order to me the turnaround time. She happily stated yes and we notated the document as such. In checking the status on Wednesday with the repair facility, they showed no record of receipt so I called back to inquire about the tracking number. Emily initially stated that they do not keep record of the shipment, although I have a document that shows where the tracking information would be kept. She then, after my insistence to find it was able to locate the tracking number. I look up the information and it shows arrival via ground shipping on Friday night this week. With that being the case the delivery will not be able to see the request. Frustrated with this, I contacted the Store Manager who was less than responsive nor understanding about the dilemma. Rather than listen and be emphatic, he was quick to state, "well we took care of shipping as a service for you" vs. actually taking the time to listen to the problem. I understand that the location mailed the item for me, but had I known that they would not rush it as I had asked and that we would make the deadline I could have mailed it express myself. Its business like this that continues to disappoint and impact my view of retail as we know it. The problem is not the manufacturer here, rather at the local level when you find that a manager would rather be right than acknowledge that a misstep might have been made and act or try and remedy the problem.
