Both times in the middle of the day, middle of the week and it's been a great experience especially because it wasn't crowded. The store is clean, organized and well stocked. It's a super center so they have a little of everything as far as home goods, toys, pharmacy items, garden center, food etc. This particular store has a pharmacy, a Subway and a FedEx. I took off a star because some of the employees working stocking the shelves and the checkout gal weren't real friendly. I also am not a fan of checking myself out unless I have only a few items and this store has more self checkouts then assisted check-stands open. On this particular day only two check-stands open. Luckily it was dead so I didn't wait too long, I purchased some raspberries that actually looked better than the one at the local grocery store. Prices have risen on a lot of items and it doesn't appear to be as cheap as I remember. I walked out spending $200 on necessities like toilet paper, paper towels and dish soap, along with some Valentine's Day cards, candy and a shirt for my daughter. I also bought a small fake plant and some socks. Overall it's been better than most of my past experiences shopping at Walmart.

For me, the feather in its cap is the Rodizio Grill, a definite step-up from the other Brazilian carve-of-the-skewer, all-you-can eat restaurants (Tucanos and Braza, I'm talking to you). It's a great "dinner and a movie" shopping center with a Cinemark megaplex right next door to the Rodizio, as well as a Pier 49 Pizza and Firehouse Subs close by. The Meadows is also a good place for the department store lover: Target, Kohls, Gordman's, Michaels, Ulta, HomeGoods, Walmart; Bed, Bath, and Beyond; Best Buy, and Ross. You'll also find an epic "Spirit Halloween" store there in the fall. It's got room to grow. The Applebee's that went under makes me think the locals expect quality ... I'm hoping to se more like Rodizio in the future! They could take a page from a very similar outdoor-type shopping center in Taylorsville and put up a lot more signage to make driving around easier. Salesman was very helpful guiding me to the pair of trail runners I bought. He was very knowledgeable about the different "type" of shoes. I had on my own New Balance shoes, and he explained the construction behind them. Oh so that's why I like them, and they are so comfortable on my feet! He said never to put your shoes in the washer, and to use a cleaning solutions instead. They had some there so I bought some. Note: he never pressured me into buying the cleaner, he said any cleaner would do. Now the test is... can the shoes at the outlet vs the shoes at a regular store pass my new balance comfort test. However, the impression the staff left me had changed my views on salesman and how my shopping experience can be different. I had a 5-star experience with Brett and I'm so glad he approached me. Brett genuinely asked me a few questions to understand what I was looking for in shoes. I had a general idea of what shoes I wanted and I preferred to try them on on my own. I even told him that I wasn't sure if New Balance was the right place. I was not only wrong, but Brett understood exactly what to suggest based on my answers. My foot size was remeasured as part of the fitting process. To my surprise, I was also wrong about my shoe size and it was confirmed by trying on 4 different pairs of shoes. (Professional fit: shoe fitting in the morning is the most accurate - this is important for people with diabetes to find the right fit). With Brett's help, I made educated decisions, which is what I look for when I help others, too. Brett was genuine, patient, gentle, professional, knowledgeable, caring, and not pushy at all. As an observant person and someone who has experience interviewing candidates in the past, I'm confident to say he is capable of helping all ages of customers. Update 04/2025: I tried booking another appointment through…read morethe app. A pop-up appeared saying BOTH my dogs were "too sensitive" at their last appointment and I couldn't take them back. First of all.. they NEVER mentioned anything to me. They just slapped it on my account and called it good. That's seriously unprofessional and cowardly, to be honest. Secondly, one of them has had 16 appointments at various Petco locations over the years, and the other has had 7 (yes, I counted). The ONLY issue that's ever been mentioned is "sensitivity" to nail trims for only one of my dogs. I put on her account long ago to not do a nail trims if she's not having it, so it's not like they weren't aware. And I KNOW my other dog isn't bad with grooms, and not a single groomer ever mentioned that about her either. Because this is the first time they've ever been "banned", I can only assume the groomers were not gentle enough, or patient enough, or anything. And not to mention, like I said in my original review, they owed me a free groom but refused to validate it. So now they're trying to screw me out of the free groom that I earned, by not letting me go back?? I don't think I'm allowed to use the words here that I'd like to to explain how mad this makes me and how gross those groomers are for doing that... As if this sort of environment isn't scary enough for them, add the wrong type of groomer to the mix and of course they'll become scared and anxious. Do NOT trust anyone at this location. They will treat your dogs badly and then say it was the dog's fault, and steal your money. 01/2025 Don't go to the groomers. They either don't listen or don't have the experience to do what they're asked. For example, I asked for short ears. They left her ears extremely long to the point where I'm not sure they even trimmed them. I asked for a 1" tail. They left 4 inches' worth. I asked for no beards. They left beards. Their paws are choppy. There's still hair in front of their eyes. And, they made me pay for a groom that was supposed to be free. Even though I paid in full, I still had to spend an hour fixing their haircuts so they actually look cute. If you're looking for a professional-level haircut, go somewhere else. Take a look at the pictures.. can you guess how the groomers left them vs. how I fixed it with kitchen scissors?
