My only suggestion would be for them to put up a visual map…read moreof the trail because we made the mistake of going from one end, down to the bridge and didn't realize the the trail abruptly ends (we were left in a situation where we had to turn back or continue on to an area that was without a sidewalk and maybe may not have been as safe possibly - we thought maybe the sidewalk might pick back up so we continued on and thankfully we're safe though we had to walk in the road a little due to a bit of a muddy situation). I hope they will possibly make the trail a loop around the creek to the bridge and the Silk center one day if that's possible to make the trek a bit nicer and safer. Also - I imagine that putting up a sound barrier might be very cost prohibitive so walkers should be aware that there's a section that goes close to the highway and is fairly noisy. Overall, I enjoyed my day & seeing the art installations and would recommend it as a place for others to visit.

The park is well-kept and clean and it's a perfect afternoon or morning walk that is not too long. I think it's about 1.85 miles long if you do the whole track. But it has a nice little pavilion where you can barbecue and probably have a little get together. Lots of grass. The pathway is made of recycled, shredded rubber from tires I believe. It gives you a nice soft, cushiony feel when you walk. Throughout that trail you will see different exercise systems, that will help your exercise regime throughout. Incredible park to visit!

But since I just moved to the area, I thought it was important to enroll my little one in something where she could make new friends locally. I thought it would be a wonderful opportunity for some good exercise, learning to follow multiple-step instructions, learning about thinking positively/feeling a sense of achievement, healthy eating, etc. But none of my hopes came to fruition at all. (And I know what I was looking for wasn't over-the-top, because I've seen this sort of positive environment before at a different location, and also experienced it myself at my adult trapeze class.) - After 6 classes, the coach NEVER introduced herself to me. I learned her name the last day because I asked. She also never introduced the kids to one another. My daughter only learned the names of any other kids because when week 3 rolled around and I asked her who her favourite friends were at the class, she couldn't tell me any names. I said, "Oh, well go introduce yourself! Just say, 'My name is X, what's your name?'" She left the class with 4 names that day. When you're in gymnastics, isn't one of the biggest goals to develop a good team mentality? How did the kids go un-introduced the entire time they practiced and played together? - I only knew the name of the receptionist/business owner because of a purchase confirmation. She never said hello when we came into the building. She DEFINITELY never asked if my daughter was enjoying the class. She never apologized after a scheduling mix-up. She spoke poorly to me of her own daughter right in front of her, in a facility that supposedly is supposed to encourage kids to have a good self-image. Put a bad taste in my mouth, for sure. Her kid wasn't even much older than mine. - Apparently, parents were supposed to receive a progress update every couple weeks, but, like I said, the coach never so much as introduced herself. - They sell soda, cookies, chips, and other junk food as a snack for after a class that's supposed to promote good health. - Dust is caked on everything. There are these huge vents that are painted jewel-toned primary colours, which you can see from beneath, but even so, you can't see through the dust on the top halves of the tubes. At first, I thought that only the bottom halves were painted! - The bathrooms are always gross. I didn't feel comfortable getting my daughter changed for class in there. - The coach is nice enough to the kids, but isn't able to give any of the kids any sort of individual attention due to there being too many kids per class. Since they do activities in "rotations", the coach will often be distracted by a single activity while the kids wander to the other rotations without instruction. Typically, the kids watch whichever kid is in front of them for direction. The only reasons I have to NOT rate it 1 star are: because my daughter had fun there, anyway; because it seems like the competition classes have more skillful coaches; and because a lot of kids benefit from the activity days there, where at least they're socializing instead of being parked in front of a TV. I don't suggest enrolling your 3-4 year old there.

Lehigh is one of my favorite universities…read more Lehigh has some of the best athletic facilities of any school in the area, not counting Penn State of course. Their Patriot League teams have done very well academically and in sports. Lehigh makes good use of the space and their fields are impeccably clean and well irrigated. Everything is done very professionally, all the way down to the concession stands and bathrooms. One negative aspect is that the Goodman campus is so remote that you can't even fathom a means to walk to it from main campus, however there are buses on game days to provide students with a means of getting to and from the event.

***3 1/2 stars***…read more I'm a native of the Kingdom of Hunterdon but this is an area I'm not that familiar with - I grew up on the opposite, western side of the county, so my experience with High Bridge, Califon, etc. is pretty limited. I came here this past Saturday though (with a cameo appearance by one of my chums) to get some non-mountain hiking in on a gorgeous day. It had its moments, but ultimately I'm not crazy about completely flat surfaces and there just wasn't much variety in the adventure. My chum and I set off a little after 9am from the parking lot right off Main Street in High Bridge and just north of their main drag. Again, this is not a town I drive through often but it was very easy to locate the parking area once I'd gotten a quick look at the map. The parking is adjacent to some playing fields, and thankfully that meant multiple port-a-potties. I used one afterwards, which was about as clean as they get. The itinerary was pretty straight-forward - I walked from the High Bridge parking lot north through Ken Lockwood Gorge, and probably got about 15 minutes north of Califon before turning back. It took almost five hours and I would guess was about 12 miles all told (I love my Fitbit but I think it exaggerates constantly). The gorge is by far my favorite part of this walk. The optics are the best here - you're surrounded by high cliffs above and the Raritan River below, and it's pleasant to hear the roaring water in the background as you saunter through this section. There's also some gorgeous old houses off to the side with oodles of character (I made a mental note to look some of them up on Zillow when I got back), including multiple ones with little bridges and chicken coops. There's a makeshift fairy village situation off to the sides of the path, which is a nice little quirk. I think the one over in Maplewood at South Mountain is more intense, but this version covers more ground. And of course because it's Hunterdon, one of the fairy/gnome houses had a Confederate flag decoration. Who says the War of Northern Aggression stopped at the Mason Dixon Line? Once you get past the gorge though, the walk for me is pretty bland. I'm certainly very pro woods and whatnot, but the lack of distinguishing features makes this a bit of a snooze. I did enjoy the quick trip into downtown Califon, especially the little preserved railroad station from the 1800s. It looked like there were a few possible eating options as well a block or two off the trail that I briefly pondered before continuing on my journey. The canine chum situation was excellent - it was truly a bevy of pooches from beginning to end, with a curiously high percentage of German Shepherds. The wildlife situation was active as well, with a great many squirrels and chipmunks scampering around in the unseasonably warm temps. This one was just okay for me. I liked the clean bathroom accommodations and the ease of the path, but I need my walks/hikes to have a little more pizzazz to them.

I got referred to him and thought nothing of it wanted to get in shape for the upcoming summer. It was agreed upon to do 2 times a week for 6 months. Grand total 1440. He used a 3rd party lender who approved me for the total. This meant he got the money, and I was responsible to pay the lender back over a years time rather then the 6 months. Chad became a little difficult to schedule with (no big deal as I understood life can get in the way sometimes on his behalf and mine.) I was promised protein powders for signing up (Never received them) Then the kicker his "landlord decided to increase the cost of rent" so he was "looking at new locations" but in the mean time he could "take me to planet fitness on his pass" (okay were making lemonade out of lemons right guys?) WRONG! after taking me for one session chad pretty much fell off the face of the earth. No responses to text messages.. nothing. As time went on I decided I would dig a little. I found other girls who he took money from and still owed sessions to. The lender on the first phone call told me I could stop payments. Then continued to call and told me "they were not responsible for services." but that I could ask Chad for a refund and hopefully the issue would be solved.. Welp Chad chose to ignore that message too. Basically it comes down to facts, being a decent human, & owning and running a business in a proper manner. As someone who is profiting off of a market for weight loss and holding people accountable for their choices, He should be holding himself accountable for the wrongdoing's he's done. He could have offered to make things right, he chose not to. Yet now he advertises for his online "program" Buyer beware. Please don't fall victim as myself and others have.
