Did my G license class here it was a great class instructor G was a great instructor. I've took the class in the past at a different school and can honestly say this school is where you want to go. Instructor G keeps your attention the whole time and gives the information to you in a way you can retain it.. I walked into this store and told the Range officer I had no idea how to load and unload a semiauto. He first tells me I cant use the range alone to which I reiterate that I am just looking for guidance. The guy said he would show me for $50 I asked if that included range time to which he replied "no that's for me" Plus Range time, Plus Targets, Plus ammo (said I had to use his ammo) plus gun rental and fee for him watching me. Total came to about $280. I reached for my phone and found a place nearby called Shooting Gallery; I was greeted there by Stonecold Steve and a 21 year old green eyed model who showed me how to unload reload, clear jams and chamber rounds for free. Best place hands down did my cwp class gee I'm going on 37 so it was at 21 when this old Irish old man taught the class he was very knowledgeable and had his times of this ain't funny this is for real get with this or get out my class and I had to deal with him again every year for recalls for my statewide firearm license and so I got my cwp class done with shoot straight in apopka but I did my statewide firearms training with them and the Irish guy was a trip. I loved his class and had no issues and he made sure I understand everything and I got trained in my Glock 9mm and 380 which was the first for the 380 to be done with them for statewide training. They also where doing two guys with a shotgun but it slide and hit the roof so they never let that happen again and it was like a 3 days course at the time I had went and them two guys where failed right away from class for that. This place has zero tolerance for Tom foolery when it comes to firearms and training. I don't think that one where is alive anymore, but he was a very good instructor. I was able to get great training and come away with lots of experience from him. Best palace in Orlando fl to send new hires for armed security testing and training. Best in Orlando no BS. I definitely recommend this place , for at least two main reasons, number one, the trainers are courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Number two, the place is inviting, the perfect setting for your Licence classes. Let me please, add one more reason. They have a store next door, their store. My husband and I recently moved to Florida from NYC and this is the first and only gun range we've been to. We found a lot of coupons on Groupon and LivingSocial. We went there for our first how to load and shoot lesson and carry and conceal classes. Currently I bought a VIP month pass and since my husband and I bought our guns someplace else all we have to pay is the targets which are a dollar each. Without passes or coupons it's around $12.00 plus target per person. The shooting range sound is loud so wear double ear protection. They do have monthly memberships which I'm considering. So if you've never shot a gun, I suggest you get your first experience here. read more

Rieg's is a good gun shop and you should definitely check it out. The staff there is always polite, courteous and VERY knowledgeable! With COVID being a "thing" these days, and limited stock at most local gun shops, I found myself in need of an FFL (gun transfer) and Rieg's came through. I had never done an FFL before and they made the process quick and very easy! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5? The gun ranges can get insanely hot during the day as it would seem that they are either not air conditioned or the air conditioner was broken during my visits. I've shot on this range twice and both times it's been pretty warm. It's pretty tough to concentrate and learn a new gun when you're wiping sweat from your eyes. I'll certainly be back...and hopefully, the ranges will be cooler. read more

There is an amazing group of individuals who work at this Gunshop. I was not there to shop but to train. Next to the gun shop there is a training facility for Security office prospects. The trainings is 4 days long and the instructors are filled with knowledge. I was not expecting the level of attention to detail I received at the school. Our class instructor was Jeremy a vet with a lot of knowledge. He kept the class running smoothly and was able to make the class informative as well as entertaining. I got my D license and I will be going back to get my G and concealed licenses respectfully. The staff loves to engage with the students and the hands on experience and knowledge base is very impressive. You will not be disappointed by any of the instructors, a few things to keep in mind. 1. Take the class seriously. 2. Believe in yourself and your abilities 3. Do not be afraid to ask questions. 4. Punctuality is highly highly appreciated. 5. Jeremy is the best instructor there... no disrespect to Frank. LOL! Finally, when you successfully complete the course prepare to be hired fairly quickly this school has a lot of ties to the Security community and their word will open up doors for you as long as you bring your best self to the classes. I've been shooting here several times a year since moving to Orlando in 2017. Bought the t shirt for free shooting on Tuesdays. That was a good deal. But there are a couple of problems that really need to be addressed. 1. The quality of the ranges is awful. The targets are held on by large paper clips (if they're there at all). It's not unusual to have to wiggle the toggle repeatedly just to get the target sent down range or back again. It is always hot in there. Ventilation is very poor. And keeping the floor free of shell casings on a regular basis seems not to be a priority. You normally have to sweep them yourself to have a place to stand on bare floor. 2. The staff needs A LOT...and I mean A LOT of training in customer service. I know they're located in a rough neighborhood, but I'm not used to be ignored or spoken to as if I'm an inconvenience when I come in. Yesterday (now officially the last time I go there) I parked in an open spot out front. I grabbed my gear and started walking inside when I heard "Sir! Sir!" behind me. I thought she was panhandling so I kept walking. When i realized it was a staff member I turned to respond. She asked what I was doing. I pointed at my Rieg's shirt and large rifle case and said "Going inside to shoot." She rudely informed me that this spot was reserved for someone who was on their way (Mind you...no signage reserving parking spots for anyone). I told her there's nowhere to park on the side or in back. She said it wasn't her problem and I needed to move my car so I did...back home. I'll never come back again. Justin...you have problems you need to address. Staff training and infrastructure improvements are at the top of the list. Hopefully you will invest in both to improve the reputation of your facility. read more

DO NOT SHOP WITH THESE CROOKS! Last week, I purchased a CWP Class online for $60. When I arrived at the range shop the next day to attend the class, I was advised that I would need prior shooting experience BEFORE taking a safety training course! - Yea. He then proceeded to tell me that they offer a 'Basic' training course for an additional $50, that I can take prior to the CWP course - for a total of $110. I was not comfortable with this & after leaving the store speaking with a few Non-crooked gun shop owners, I found that this was completely unnecessary & not required for ANY CWP class .... So I emailed Riegs that evening about refunding my money for a course that I was denied from attending. They emailed me back, offering the "Basic course" again, which I denied again... So 5 days pass & I still don't have the credit in my bank account so I called again & some rude low-life answered & basically said that "they don't do refunds & I can get a store credit." - Which NONE of this is mentioned on the website, before completing the transaction. AS IF I would ever give them another second of my business after trying to rip me off. I called my bank & disputed the transaction & got my money back immediately. They have VERY POOR business practices & disgustingly rude people running that place. I recommend going around the corner to Artemis Enterprises for top-notch service & CWP class for less than half the costs of these scumbags. Their business will soon be obsolete, if they keep up these hideous practices. read more

Great spot right here. I just bought a new rifle and came here (2) days in a row. First off, you can shoot 5.56 on their range, the first place I went to you couldn't which is how I found out about Rieg's. The guys running the shop are great and extremely helpful. I asked Stephen, one of the guys who worked there, about my new scope and how to zero it in. He actually came in to the range and zero'd it in with me. He got the accuracy right on point. It's my first AR and had a few question for him on best shooting practices, after the tips and suggestions, I was firing much more accurate. Really cool move that you don't get from a lot of these places and made my day at the range awesome! read more

I had ordered a gun from this shop more than a month ago and have not received it yet. I ordered it June 3rd and said that it would take two weeks. They processed my card and took $500. I've called and spoke with a female employee and they said that there was a mix up with the shipment and that they were going to call me right back and no one ever did. I then showed up to the shop hoping to get some answers about the location the item and no one was able to help me in that regard as well. When speaking to the manager he said "That's Justin's (another employee) problem". I am appalled with the lack costumer service and lack of communication from this company. Decided to take my CWP class at Rieg's because their price is way better than most gun shops/ranges. Because they were running a promotion on the class and relative to the chaos happening in this country right now, the store was PACKED. I was not sure what to expect from such a large class, but it became apparent within minutes of entering the classroom that the instructor was extremely knowledgeable and experienced in all things firearm. John was engaging. The class wasn't some regurgitation of the statute--he broke everything down in terms that were easy to understand regardless of whether you were a beginner (me) or a more experienced shooter. He answered questions and opened dialogue. The class was about two hours long, but it was so interesting and fun that I honestly could have sat there another hour or two with no problem. John was awesome, the staff at the range was awesome. It was a great experience all around and I highly recommend! read more
