I absolutely love Shooters World - which is why I'm a member! I've been shooting here on and off for about 2 years now until I recently got a family membership because we frequent so regularly. The Range Safety Officers are phenomenal, so helpful and you feel safe at all times. Renting is easy and the expert knowledge at the desk is amazing, regardless of what your skill level is they're helpful and will always give you guidance, suggestions, and honesty (like that one may have too much kick for you) lol! If you are coming here though, the number one thing to know.... if you get cold easily, WEAR A SWEATSHIRT! I am always cold, but these ranges are freezing, FYI! In general, it's best to wear pants, long sleeves, a hat (personally), nothing low cut, and of course closed toe shoes. They have sales all the time on guns and ammo, though I wouldn't personally suggest buying those things here - come here for the range but in my opinion buy your guns and things elsewhere because they do tend to be pricier than others. We used to come more often when we lived in Orlando. My youngest has been asking to shoot since he could speak, so we finally brought him for his 11th birthday. This facility is always great. Spacious and clean. The staff/guard that kept an eye on us was fantastic, he was kind and overall a great person. If I remember correctly, his name was Josh. Came here for an afternoon of fun but was disappointed. I waited 50 minutes just to get started, only to be told it would take even longer because they were short on safety staff. While I appreciate safety is crucial, there wasn't clear communication about this. The facility seems nice and well-equipped, but we didn't get to enjoy it. Nice facility and I appreciate that they have several indoor ranges, and you can shoot out to 100 yards. However, their ammo selection is limited, as well as other stuff, and prices weren't very good. Place seems good for the shooting ranges and renting firearms you want to try, but I probably won't be buying anything there. read more

The 25 yard range is closed because of some sort of ventilation problems. This only leaves the 15 yard lanes open. Because so many lanes were closed, when we went, the wait time was 1.5 hours. We went to this location because we wanted to shoot up to 25 yards so we were disappoint when they said it was closed and the only option was the 15 yard range. They should put that on their website so we know what are we getting. Looks like a good place for first time shooters and tourist. If you are a proficient shooter looking for some practice at the range, there are plenty of other ranges in Orlando. read more

This place is expansive and very clean. I was very impressed with the facility especially compared to the range I use back home. However there were a few points that put me off a little bit: the pricing was not transparent and is extremely inflated-- I can not make sense of how we ended up spending $86 for a one-hour lane rental for three people + $1 targets + ear and eye gear all while we brought our own ammo and gun. Additionally, I really appreciated the attentive safety staff they have in the lanes, but I did feel that we were being micromanaged. The guy watched us like a hawk (i mean there were only two lanes shooting including us) but would step in multiple times when it was not necessary -- one example was him commenting on my aim; since when is that part of your job description as safety staff? It was incredibly annoying and slightly condescending, especially as this is by no means my first time at a range and I did not ask for your help nor your opinion. read more

This is a really nice range it's pretty big. There are 2 floors with multiple range spaces. The amenities available at this establishment are pretty top notch. They have a cafe area where you can get something to eat and drink while you wait. The retail space of available firearms is pretty awesome. The rounds handgun display allows you to feel all the handguns and figure out which one is the perfect fit for you. We also came into this range to shoot today. Here are some of the pros and cons of the range in my opinion. Pros: many stalls available, Clean and sturdy stalls to setup your firearms and ammo, easy to use yard selector for range stall and lots of space. Cons: cannot bring mags pre loaded, cannot use steel case ammo, cannot shoot green tip 556/223, No bench inside range to put bags and load ammo, all bags on floor. One thing I thought was a little weird is if you are a member you have unlimited range time and you can bring a guest with you its $10 but after 1 hr the person cant shoot unless they pay again but the member can continue to occupy the stall? If the member brings a guest why wouldn't they both be allowed to continue shooting for the initial price. Seems a little outrageous to have a policy like this. read more

My daughter (age 17) and I took the Concealed Carry Class today. While my daughter will not be eligible for CCW until age 21, I wanted her to understand basic gun safety and have the opportunity to shoot again. The instructor was Oz. She had not been to a gun range in two years and so was apprehensive. Emma came away from the course excited about shooting! Oz was an excellent instructor who took her questions seriously and during the shooting qualification gave her insightful guidance that led to her keeping all her rounds within the "square". The three stores are located in Tampa, Orlando and The Villages. Each location offers a variety of shooting lanes, training facilities, and a wide selection of firearms and accessories. It is a very large facility with lots to see. It seems very safe. All the staff members were friendly and helpful. It has great range officers and well maintained ranges. They offer 58 lanes that support both pistol and rifle shooting. Prices were very reasonable with a single 25 yard range with a veteran discount costing me $20. The range, like many ranges has a viewing window for those in your party who may want to watch without being on the range. Overall, Shooters World, Orlando, delivers an unequal shooting experience, blending safety, variety, and excellent customer service. This place is a shooters heaven. They have club membership with perks. We went for the day to look around we didn't get to shoot but we got a tour around and so many shooting ranges well set up. Tons of guns on display and anble to touch the hand grips and size which is especially a concern for females without having to bother a sales rep to hand you a gun 57 plus times. Of course the bigger gusn encased on display you need a salesman but super friendly and available and everyone was knowledgeable gun enthusiast. They thought of every detail down to the delead soap outside the shooting range. Cant wait to come back to FL and actually shoot here. We immediately went back hole to GA and found ourselves a shooting range but didn't compare. read more

I thought the place was nice. It was clean, unlike the ranges I've been to in the past. This is a place I was willing to bring my lady. The customer service was very good. We are beginners and this was the experience we needed. Everyone made us feel welcomed. Steve went through explaining the weapon, reiterated the information from the video and by the time we got on the range, I felt comfortable that neither my wife or I would hurt ourselves or someone else. We shot two boxes of 9mm rounds (50 bullets each) and had a good time. We spoke about doing this again. Now the wait time was a little longer than I expected but that goes back to taking with each customer. Some needed more time than others. The overall experience was good. A great place to go for a fun few hours of shooting. You may bring your own pieces or rent on site if you don't have any or want to try something new. There are two different spaces for handhelds vs. automatics. The line was a bit hefty but they do take each participants ID and enter information carefully. Once you check-in you are assigned a slot through a text sent for your time. They also have weapons for sale and a variety of accessories. It's a huge space and they use it well. If you get hungry they do have a small cafe with a handful of snacks and drinks. There are also many tables around for you to sit at while you wait for your time, or if you want to eat. I was looking for a particular handgun but apparently no one wanted to help me find it so I decided to go shooting with the one handgun I have but I waited and waited and when I was finally helped I got all set up and wait, "shooter's world" didn't have the 40 caliber I needed. Decided to stop by on my family's trip to Orlando looking for a Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical, amongst other things. Very spacious with a nice selection of weapons. Plenty of firing lines with easy access to tethered hand guns to peruse. The one crucial thing they are missing is customer service. We walked in without being greeted. The person at the counter didn't even look up to acknowledge us. We walked around for about 25 minutes and couldn't find anyone to help us. The one person at the counter had someone they were dealing with, so we walked around again and when we came back they were gone, so we left. Maybe turn the place into a museum like in the movie Demolition Man, because if there is no one to sell you anything, why bother? read more

This was my first time handling a gun. Staff helped me pick out a firearm suitable for a novice. Safety is their first priority. They were very patient showing us how to load the gun repeating instructions when necessary. Safety officers were very encouraging and offered good instructions for hitting the targets. I like shooters world. I came here bc a stranger Robert recommended them. He said he shoots $30 all day. Well Robert sir, Imma have to call bs or need to know who your plug is. They have alot of specials but its $30+ an hour. And $10 shooters club the first time. I like that its clean and big. They didnt have the gun I wanted to buy, and they didnt seem like they wanted to help me buy it. Some people gave me the feeling like they pay me to work here not to know things and answer questions. Fairly they are a new business. So I am forgiving of that. Especially because I am so green myself I know nothing about nothing so I have a lot of questions. The nice woman did help me with questions about my gun because it was my first time shooting. For as big as they are they had us all shooting together which was loud. We would have liked to be spaced out but it seems like maybe only one person was there so we had to be together. I would recommend them. Especially for people who know about guns. Had just a fun time while here. It was my first time shooting ever so it was a little scary, but the shooting area supervisor was so nice and great at explaining how to load and shoot the gun(s). It's definitely LOUD in the shooting area, so I recommend to wear the ear plugs they provided underneath the required ear muffs. I've been to the Orlando location many times. Yesterday the service fell way short. The policies regarding range time and "last call" aren't clear at all. I arrived around 6:40 pm on 3/18/23 and my friend already checked us in. The plan was to get a lane and then extend our time so that my brother who was traveling from an hour away could join us. We got in the lane and about 50 mins through I asked the range officer if we could extend our time. I was told yes. So I waited about 10 more mins and then my friend walked out to extend the time. It was about 7:35 and we were told we couldn't extend. The reason was there were other parties waiting to shoot. At that time my brother arrived and what he told me afterwards what happened was that a guy was rude to him and said something along the lines of "you know what time it is?." So instead of explaining the policy to him, he had him fill out his paperwork and when he came back he told him it was too late to get a range. According to your website you're open until 9 and it's well before 8pm. After we exited our lane I went to go to my car and then decided to come back and find out when the last time you can be admitted to the lane from a worker. I went to one counter, stood there and no one wanted to talk to me. Walked to another counter and stood there for 5 mins while the employees finished having their conversation. I talked to the guy watching the lane cameras and he explained if I have my own guns then I can go into a lane until 8. It was about 7:50 at this time and I explained him that we already had a lane and wanted to extend so that my brother could shoot. At that point he called "Gabby" over. She then gave me a muddy answer of if you're a member you can be admitted until 8 and "normal" visitors 7:30. This information obviously isn't clear nor offered freely. She was understanding and almost seemed to want to put us back in the range. My brother already left. She gave me 2 range cards to make up for it but I felt this incident should be shared. read more

I was here for the first time with some friends a few weeks back. The place was huge! It had a very large showroom with dozens of various guns on display and available for handling. They also sold a large assortment of ammunition and accessories, as well as some gun-themed children's toys. We used both the pistol range and the rifle range while we were there. The ranges are very well kept. They were staffed, and a range safety officer was present at all times. The only real downside was that the registration process and waiting for the raffle range we're both pretty slow, but other than that it was a great experience overall. Nice facility and most of the staff were helpful enough. One guy, however, basically accused me of trying to steal from them. I picked out a range bag and pistol case as my wife and I were looking around. My wife needed to use the restroom so I waiting in the shooting area just outside the restrooms at a table. While I was waiting I looked through the bag and case to make sure they were what I wanted and that there were no QC issues. My wife came out and we went up front to pay where we encountered a rather portly dude with a mustache and a Jersey accent (think Guido the Killer Pimp 35 years later) leaning back on the counter... He asked, "What's in the bag?" I'm a little confused so I pause and say, nothing. He says, "It's that heavy empty?" (...not sure how he was able to gauge its weight). I said I guess so and opened it to reveal the shoulder strap and three pistol pouches that come in the larger bag (included for the $98 price). I blew it off but got pissed the more I thought about it after we left... I'm a 22 year veteran with four tours under my belt (two combat) and some greaseball is gonna basically accuse me of stealing?! I won't go back... way too much competition in the market. Shame too because I'm an avid shooter and gun purchaser... read more

I joined as a member over 3 years ago (not an inexpensive membership) and have to tell you I've seen the service go down hill since. Beautiful facility - state of the art, yet horribly managed. Beyond embarrassing. I come every 2-3 months. Each time the place has been understaffed, uninformed staff, more and more rude each time. Longer waits and more disorganized chaos. Today - December 26 they're only running 9 lanes! All 50 yard (10 of them), all 15 yard (20 of them), half of the 25 yard lanes (10 of them) - CLOSED. No explanation. No warning at check-in. Mind you the check-in line has been 15 person deep - consistently. Luckily after 30 mins or so, they opened up the additional 10 lanes in the 25-yard. Better late than never. However, why on such a busy week they would be this unprepared is baffling to me. This place is always busy so it's not like it's a lack of business (or revenue). It's simple poor management and terrible customer service. I understand hiring people these days is hard but at least be transparent with your customers and at least warn people of long waits - or stop taking in customers! read more

Came in durning regular hours of operation the first time to use the 100 yard range and they gave me trouble about using it. Then came in another time to use it again and they wouldn't let me use it because they "closed it for the day". Staff is rude and short with customers. Ever since Gander Mountain shut down in Lake Mary. I've been looking for a state-of-the-art gun range. I had no clue that the largest indoor gun range in the United States was right in my backyard, better yet it's much closer than Gander Mountain was. This is 74,000 square feet of gun lover's heaven. Not only can you buy any gun that you can think of, they also have a 15, 25, 50, and even a 100 yard ranges inside! The staff is great, this is probably the most popular gun range so if you're going on the weekend go early to beat the rush. However since there are a ton of lanes you probably won't have to worry much. The wait isn't unbearable. read more
