The comics are well organized so I looked and I did find one....$3 for a Warlock Infinty Watch #7. I brought some comics in to trade since another store I've frequented (that's North an hour drive away) does trades. Absolutely not here and the guy told me, "we're like Walmart, we don't do trades." I paid the $3 and left. If you're in there for Funko or new age comics it's probably a great store. If you're going for TCG be prepared to pay high dollar for scalped products and "minty" raw cards.

We were on a mission to find Inside Out characters for my 8 year old son and they not only found the spot they were in but also hunted around to find the items he asked for. They gave us tips to find things in other areas of the store as people tend to hide things they want and they let us know where to look for those gems! This is the first and usually last place I have to go to find what I am looking for as they have what I need. There are so many props and fun things to look at as you wander the huge selection. They have a large selection of Current Comics and a fair selection of comics from the 1960s and 1970s. Laid out nicely, and easy to browse through. There are also boxes of consignment comics to check out. Then there are quite a few Sale comics 25 cents plus boxes at 50% off, so lots of selections for the casual buyer. Of course they also have figurines and games. Owners are very knowledgeable and said they can also search for a specific comic title or issue. Check it out.

I don't know how I missed this store the many times I've been to DeLand over the years, but I have…read moreto say this is hands down my favorite book store in DeLand. It's PACKED full of books! Cliff specializes in horror, sci-fi, mystery, comics, but carries at least something from just about any other genre you can think of. Some of the older more rare books are kept in a thin plastic protectors to preserve them, and are neatly organized onto shelves. Cliff also sells a variety of collectable glassware and toys. It's best to let Cliff know what you are looking for so he can direct you to the right location. I asked him where he keeps music books and he took me right to the spot then informed me that the entire bottom shelf was full of them, but I would need to dig a little since there was three more stacks of music-related books in front of the shelf; I was in heaven, lol! There was a lot to sift through and I didn't even see it all because my wife was pulling me out before I get deep in it. Regardless, I decided on purchasing three music books: Hits of the 90's for $6; Casio Piano sound Music Library Piano Scores for $8; and Guns N' Roses Anthology for Guitar for $15. When I went to check out, I asked Cliff if he could sell me all three for $25 and he said no problem. Then he got distracted with another customer for a minute and came back to me and asked "what was I charging you again," and I replied $25 and started to pull out cash and he said "Lets just make it an even $20," wow, what an awesome guy! Thank you, Cliff! Cliff also hosts big comic events in the DeLand area, so if your interested in those types events I recommend checking out his Instagram or Facebook page since the main website is a bit outdated with all of his happenings. All-in-all, a great book store and I recommend Cliff's if you are a book lover and are in the area shopping. I will be back!

The parking was a little tight as it was a small complex that housed several small businesses. Once inside, we were amazed at the design and interacted with several friendly employees. There is a cafe that served small bites, breakfast, snacks, and a nice selection of unique coffees. I got a rainbow road cold brew and it didn't disappoint. There was enough seating and my kids enjoyed their bagel while me and my husband enjoyed an avocado toast. This spot is definitely worth coming out to at least once.

Whether you're a gamer, a movie buff, sci-fi fan, or just love cool merch, you'll find something to geek out over for sure. The staff? Genuinely great. Friendly, welcoming, and super knowledgeable without being pushy. You can tell they love what they do, and it will make your experience that much better. I went in on a Saturday and found parking fine. The area was bustling! This book has A LOT. It was a little confusing to figure out where I wanted to go, but I found myself browsing. The mix of books is actually impressive. They have a lot of bookish merch too. I ended up purchasing a book, bookmark and book holder. The service and value were good. This place is a lot of fun and a great stop if you do want to make a day out of visiting the shops and checking out the markets.
