My first time here was for a Yelp event, and then I returned with another friend to see Matt Bianco. This place is just incredibly comfortable. Great views everywhere thanks to the raised outer circle, and far more seating than I've ever seen in a venue with a dancefloor. Lots of small and large booths to accommodate your group, no matter how many people you came with. The raised area is lined with a bar and lots of bar stools, so you can sit down comfortably, set down your beer to applaud, and enjoy a perfect view of the stage, while those behind you can easily see the stage over your shoulders. Really well designed. The acoustics here are extraordinary too. I do wish they'd have some more popular acts, or, you know, ones I actually know (the current events schedule didn't have any names I recognized). I would jump on the chance to see Bruno Mars or James Morrison here again! However, I would definitely make an effort to find a reason or an event to come back to Under the Bridge. My friend felt the same way. Just something very welcoming and comfortable about this place.

Wow! What a great place to hear good music. Basement dive venue. It feels mildly dangerous,…read morethrilling and sinful just to enter. But relax, you are quite safe in this soon to be completely renovated and gentrified Chelsea neighborhood. Dinner was more than acceptable. Hearty food in the style of what your mother makes, if she is a good soulful cook. Big portions, high quality ingredients, robust flavors. I had a lamb rump roast, it was delicious. My wife had the sea bass, it was wonderful. Big plates of food for 18 British pounds each, a bargain in this obscenely expensive city. Wine list has 30 bottles. We enjoyed a fruity well made Pinot noir from Romania. 24 pounds. Cover charge was a little extra for a special evening, still just 14 pounds. The show was 3 complete bands playing over 3.5 hours. Again this is a remarkable bargain. All employees are sincere, happy and helpful. I felt comfortable as no one was putting on any airs. I've visited jazz clubs the world around both big and small. I grew up in New York City during the 1960's where I saw world class American jazz musicians in legendary venues. Well, now it's 2018 and all those NY clubs are dead & gone. But glory be, this 606 club in London carries the eternal flame of fine jazz musicianship with care & respect. I flew all the way from San Francisco California to come here. If you are in London you can damn well get your butt in a taxi and come here to enjoy an evening of rollicking music and support this great club. Call. Make a reservation now. You're welcome.

It wasn't until further in our trip that we were needing a meal that we found 606 Club online. This has that speakeasy vibe, with the subtle entrance, the narrow staircase and another door before you're told about a 20£ cover charge should you choose to stay for the live performance starting at 8pm. We only wanted a meal, as we were tired from travelling, and were seated close to the door. I had my reservations, as the music was the primary reason the crowd was there. But you know what? We had a delicious memorable meal here! My partner had steak frites and I enjoyed the Thai chicken (curry). We also shared an order of courgettes Provençal. If I had one mild issue, was that the waitress described the courgettes as "oh it's courgettes with tomato". My DEAR, they are NOT JUST with tomato! Provençal is this savoury delicious play on garlic, seasoning, and herbs like basil, oregano, thyme. With the right seasonal veggie it is this warm hug that reminds me, "hey, maybe I could be vegan". We enjoyed our meal, to say the least. I swear as we were ending our meal, and the jazz musicians were starting their set, the chef came out to listen a bit and looked out into the dining room and we made eye contact. I nodded, with a satisfied gaze, and he nodded back. If I could visit 606 Club in my future visits to Chelsea, I will!

Last night's was a Joaquin Phoenix double bill, showing Walk The Line followed by Two Lovers. While we ended up skipping the first film and just having dinner, the price is still very reasonable. We shared a lovely bottle of wine outside on the terrace (had to sit on the wall though as all the tables were full) with amazing views of the river and Hammersmith Bridge. Back inside for dinner, which we shared: a large mezze platter and some mushroom bruschetta, both of which were delicious and just enough. The cinema itself is what every cinema should be: small and dark, with the seats on an incline so everyone can see. They showed the previews and ads WAY before the start time (PERFECT!!), even drew the curtains in between the previews and the film itself (DRAMATIC!!). Riverside has much more to offer than just a restaurant and a cinema... it also shows stand-up comedy, has a fully functioning tv studio where they film live shows, a theatre for live music, and art exhibitions. A wonderful space with quality at every turn.

The server behind the door, a young guy with short cornrows, had a huge attitude: avoiding eye contact, muttering answers to my questions as if I was annoying him, and just being generally unpleasant. I walked away and waited for my order feeling as if I was the problem- for god forbid paying this establishment for food. I debated getting a juice as they were cheap at £3.20 but refused to give this place any more money. It also took FOREVER for my food to arrive, despite the place not being busy at all. It seemed the cooks and staff (including that horrid server) had better time joking behind the bar than working. I could imagine your food would take centuries if one came at a busy time. The roti itself was delicious: chock full of juicy prawns, chickpeas, veg and potatoes. The roti was firm enough to hold the goodies but soft to chew and delicious. Mild spice (and this is coming from someone who doesn't do spicy sadly). It's a shame the food (and the price at £7.95 for the huge roti) is so great bc the crud attitude means I would never return nor recommend anyone would. Good riddance.

Completed in 1888, the Romanesque red brick and terracotta building has been decribed as the 'Taj Mahal of North Kensington'. When the area went into decline in the 1900's it ws the centre of many slums in the area and race riots. In 1975 it closed down as a church and taken over by the local council. Demolishion plans were twarted and it was converted into the multi use community building that it is today. Joe Strummer of the Clash appeared here in the 70's and it also hosted gigs by Misty in Roots and George Melly. In 1995 it closed to be upgraded, to reopen in 1998. It is still going strong as a multi-use venue. They hold art exhibitions, concerts, dance lessons, fitness and sport activities as well as concerts. It's a great place to go for a drink or snack, and is very reasonable. It also has a full bar. I like sitting outside when the weather is nice in the large courtyard in frotn of the building. I highly recommend you visit this place, should you be in the Portabello Market area.

And he is right! this place is really cool, it is a shame it is small.
