Oh my gosh, this is just such a GREAT PLACE! Dealerships use them. I went to my dent shop and they recommended this place for a leather seat repair. I called. Frank was so nice, gave me a quote over the phone. We scheduled. I was dropping off after hours. I called to leave a message and they answered the phone after closing!!! Who is nice enough to do that? He walked me through how to drop off, told me Frank would take great care of me and he did! I picked up what I can only describe as a perfectly brand new looking seat. You would NEVER know it had been repaired. So people if your seat sits wrong, is cracking, looking sad on the always used drivers side. There's HOPE for you! I saw the photos of how they even fixed the actual foam under the seat, not just the leather. I am so EXTREMELY HAPPY! I have to tell you to go here. Don't think about it. If you need some top quality interior work, this is the only spot you should ever consider. Riggs Bros. has been a staple in Chicago for over 65 years. They're on the forth generation and they have true craftsmen working for them. I hadn't been here in nearly a decade, but have an issue with my current drivers seat. I tried one of those "come out to you' guys that I saw at my neighbor's, they tore their couch on their move in. I asked the tech about my torn seat in my car and he said no problem... boy has that been an understatement. He's been out four times for the same repair. I discussed replacing the entire panel on the base of the seat with leather. The factory sent out vinyl side panels with leather centers... anything to save a buck. The outer panel is notorious for cracking. I just can't figure out how the color keeps pealing away on the other guys repair? Time to let the Riggs Bros. handle it. In the past they've performed flawlessly on my interior repairs. They've installed seat heaters in two of my past vehicles and performed fabric and carpet repairs with perfect match. I was referred to Riggs Bros by my father, who had his windows on his Infiniti tinted five years ago, which still look perfect. I just had my 2014 STI done, and once again, a perfect tint job. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous. They also worked extra hard to meet a tight time frame for me, which I greatly appreciated. I have done a great deal of research on tint films and methods, and it can be hard to find a shop that doesn't use one of the common tint films that claims to be the best material. I won't bash a particular brand, but I can tell you that the Sun-Tek material Riggs Bros uses is great stuff. Also worth noting, is that this company is much more than just a tint shop, they are true custom automotive and marine experts that I would recommend to any of my family, friends, and colleagues. read more

Some years ago we had Riggs replace a plastic window in a convertible top. They did a great job so we decided to use them again. This time we needed a custom cushion for a used car we had just purchased. Kevin let us try out some scraps of foam to get the height right. We decided on 3" of a denser foam. Kevin said they would top this with 1/2" of a less dense foam for comfort. The finished cushion is beautiful. They contoured it so it doesn't move around on the seat. If you have any type of cover from your grill to your plane-this is the place to go!!! It is hard to find a trim shop period and yet a good one. Three locations and they have been around for a long time. They will tell you and give you options to your project. If you take your car to a local dealer/shop--they normally sublet out the work to Riggs anyway-even if your car is under warranty! I have been using them for over 20 years and never gave me wrong. They also do heated seats and tinted windows (GREAT X-MAS GIFT). Anything to do with leather, interior work, boat covers, any cover-take it to Riggs Brothers. Several months ago I purchased (in Nebraska) a 2011 Chevy Suburban with very low mileage. On the long drive back to Chicago, it became achingly clear how hard the cloth seats were in this vehicle. Checking Chevy and GMC truck online forums, there were tons of complaints about uncomfortable Chevy-GMC seats. Bottom line .. Riggs Brothers fixed them. Turns out GM uses very inexpensive, hard and dense foam in their seats .. like sitting on a rock. Riggs replaced the top half of the foam on each seat with more expensive, less-dense foam and .. voila! ... the seats are now very comfortable. Thank you Riggs Bros. I went to Riggs three years ago to repair the seat that had split in my daughters Jeep. They did an excellent job matching and repairing the bad section. After two years it cracked and split again. Not only did they repair it but they replaced the entire leather seat cover not just he panel! I offered to pay or split the cost and they refused! Jon and Jesus are awesome to work with. Fantastic , Fantastic , Fantastic !!! I came to Riggs Brothers with an insurance claim for my Jeep top to get replaced. I found them online and after stopping by to check out their shop, I agreed to have them perform the work. My Insurance company wanted me to go to Gerber collision ( middleman) so they could outsource the job to Riggs Brothers.(what...???) So I did. After a week , I got a call from Gerber that jeep was ready, WOW! It looked great. Sure, it was'nt a huge deal, jeep tops come as a prefabricated kit, no brainier , just take off the old and put on the new. I knew that. What wow'd me was the fit and finish. Riggs brothers definitely went above and beyond my expectations. I feel they were not only professional, but extremely considerate of what was needed to do the job perfectly. Their website claims the following for tint "Guaranteed for life - We are so confident you will be completely satisfied with our window films, we guarantee the film for life or as long as you own the car." I was willing seven years ago to pay twice as much for tinting as local competitors for "guaranteed" tint yet but after showing them the vertical scratching from a known felt design issue, Dan said it was only covered for bubbles and glue issues? They were recommended by my BMW dealership as top notch and claim to know about this issue with most German made cars but would not do it right the first time and install the necessary felt or moleskin. Don't waste your time or money. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 because it did last 7 years and they were cordial but a guarantee like the one on their website is not what they deliver. read more

Long made short, I was in need of someone/anyone who could help re-seal the back window of my audi convertible. The dealer, of course, said my car needed a new top (when the top was fine AND the window was fine just starting to lose adhesion). A team member at my dealer told me to talk to Riggs Brothers. I googled them, did my research, and then called to see if anything could be done. I spoke with Kevin (calm, understanding, knowledgeable, professional). I needed to have the con veritable on my car replaced after it was vandalized so the body shop I had to send it to through my insurance sent it to this place to replace it and when I received it back the con veritable was new but in the process of them replacing it they blew the motor and broke the mechanisms for it to go up and down and when I called them to talk to them about it, said oh well it came like that and we are not responsible for it...basically too bad so sad! So I would not recommend this place at all since now I have to go somewhere else to have their mistake fixed. Thanks for absolutely nothing!!!!!!! read more
