Shelby from Abode called me and from then on, there was only one choice for me - Abode. Shelby was personable, warm and it was obvious she was willing to help me in any and every way possible. Then we met Nicole, the nicest, most caring and helpful hospice nurse I've ever known. No request has been too large or small. We met Angela next, and her help in getting my spouse into our home was invaluable! We couldn't have done it without her. During her final hours, Tara from Abode came to our home in the middle of the night, in the rain, and was here with me when my spouse breathed her last breath. She made herself available to me any day, any time. As a group, the caring and kind team at Abode continue to make me feel like I'm part of their family and they have stressed that I can call them any time if I have questions or problems. It's comforting to see how patient and respectful they are with him, and how much effort they put into making sure he's comfortable and safe. What I really appreciate is how easy they are to work with as a family. If we ever had questions or needed to make a change, the office staff was quick to respond and genuinely helpful. Having their support has taken a lot of stress off our shoulders during a difficult time, and I'm thankful we chose FirstLight Home Care for my dad's care.

SummitWest Care was there to help right away. They helped her get right back on her feet in her own home. Not only did they help her physically they also helped her emotionally. They were kind and there for her. They met all her needs and made things easier for her so she could move around. Not only did they treat her well they also listened to all of us as a family and met up to our expectations. SummitWest Care is an amazing agency with very kind people. I am just glad we could find such an amazing place. I wanted my grandma to be treated like family and that is exactly what they did. One of the worst companies I've ever had. Housekeepers assigned me did more work making it look…read morelike she cleaned than actually cleaning. And this is not just my opinion, I have cameras in my house. The customer service from the office in Delta absolutely sucks they show up when you tell him not to they don't show up when they're supposed to, they're often sent to the wrong address, and 2 days after my firing this particular housekeeper, and asking for someone else I still had not received any calls back about my complaint. Show fired the company the morning that the same self housekeeper was supposed to come. And she showed up anyway so my stress level and anxiety are at an all-time high. They can't keep anybody working there because they hire the dredges of society and then pay them crap and don't understand why they can't keep people working there. But obviously that is not the only problem apparently their staff suck as well. Hire at your own risk!

Staff is misinformed and ignored my request to actually read Medicaid/Medicare regulations…read more I went in to get a replacement CPAP for my 18+ old CPAP machine. My doctor had already sent over all documentation required by Medicaid/Medicare, including my sleep study. The GJ staff said it would take 2 - 3 weeks to get my CPAP, even though I had called before I had my doctor send my info to them and had been told they had my CPAP and mask in stock in their store. ?????? So I could die from an apnea attack in my sleep without my machine and they thought waiting for 3 weeks was just fine when they had the equipment in stock? They said it would take that long to get insurance approval and there was nothing they could do about it. Staff also insisted I HAD to go thru a 12 month trial period where I had to rent my machine monthly. When I told them that no trial period was required for me per Medicaid/Medicare rules and offered to show them the rules I had on my phone, they refused stating "Everyone HAS to go thru a trial period and rent the CPAP during it". When I again told them they were wrong they replied "It doesn't matter". Well it mattered to me so I insisted to talk to the regional manager and they said they would instead. A few hour later I got a call from Savanna from another Lincare office. She was very nice and told me I was correct and I would not need a trial period. She said Lincare needed one more signature from my doc and she would have the manager in GJ go that day, a Friday, to get it. I told my doctor's office was closed on Fridays, so she said they would get the signature first thing Monday morning. I then received a call from my insurance company whose rep told me the CPAP had already been approved and she would call them, and me, daily until I got my CPAP as she confirmed I needed it ASAP. Well, Monday came and went and Lincare had not gone to get the signature from my doctor. Tuesday morning came and went and Lincare had not gotten my doctor's signature when my insurance rep called me again and said she would contact Lincare. Wednesday morning my insurance rep called me and said they had gotten the signature late Tuesday and would be calling me to schedule a time to pick up my CPAP. I then called the Lincare GJ office and asked when I could come get my CPAP. The staff said a their RT would call me and schedule a time later that week to pick up my CPAP. Later that week was not acceptable, so I called and left a message with the Lincare rep in the other office asking why I couldn't get my CPAP that day. About 30 minutes later I got a call from the RT, who really isn't an RT after all I later found out, and finally got my CPAP just before closing time on Wednesday. In short, the GJ staff were clueless on the actual Medicaid/Medicare rules, dragged their feet on providing me life critical equipment, and only after several external interventions did they provide me with my CPAP. I give them an "F".
