More importantly Mike advertised himself as a licensed plumber and I later found out he was not. The N.H. attorney general brought him in a couple days ago for a disciplinary hearing and proposed a 4k dollar fine which he will surely have to pay. There was so many issues with the work Mike did I brought him to small claims court and won a judgment of $7,300.00 but that doesn't even begin to cover the cost to redo his amateurish and unlicensed work and thats if we even ever get paid .According to court records Mike has been sued 9 times over the last 10 years and he lost all but one law suit.He has been arrested for failure to pay and is constantly being brought back to court by others he owes money to just as we will have to do.While doing our job Mike said he couldnt come in a couple days because he didnt feel well and come to find out he was actually in court those days,its all public record.Mikes son works with him and again through court records we found out his son is a felon for more than one reason but the one that I found most concerning was for multiple drug charges and this is a kid that was going in and out of my bedroom. Mike and Darlene are con artists that need to be shut down. They are extremely rude, filthy unprofessional people. We read the revies and thought he would do a good job based on them but come to find out a lot of the positive reviews they have are from friends and family and the negative ones they get dont stay up long because Darlene being the master manipulator she is somehow gets them removed.Do yourself a favor and Check out Mike Troila and his family through the N.H. court records and save yourself time money and aggravation ,I sure wish I did prior to hiring him he turned my life upside down and now I will have to struggle to try to get my judgment from him for what I assume will be years to come based on the fact I havent seen a dime and apparently he isnt paying all the other people he owes either. My pathway is so wonky looking with no real prominent curve. His eye for detail is so lacking. It's sad especially when doing tile work. There is lots of missing grout and caulking. I waited years to get my dream bathroom but when I walk into my bathroom it's disappointing. My husband and I tried to tell Mike but he has no interest. Although this project was revisited twice due to an initial "mis-diagnosis" (with the previous Soil-away regime), Jack took ownership to rectify the basic floor foundation issue and ensure no more tiles would crack.! Jack's demolition team,under Brad, communicated clearly when they would arrive, describe their daily work, and respected our property. The work area was left so that we could resume a normal daily lifstyle. Jack was there onsite thruout the demolition cycle of the project as was the project manager, Tom. As Brad and team completed the demolition cycle, Jeff, who would be completing the base flooring, tiling and grouting was the consummate professional. He approached the project as if he were working in his on house.His attention to detail and skill to merge the new tile into the existing fabric of our existing flooring was impeccable. After the project was completed, we again had follow-up conversations to Jack to ensure that the work was completed to our satisifaction and the work area was restored to normal.

He claimed he was capable of doing that work and we hired him in good faith. He made some egregious errors which caused flooding and water damage that was discovered in 2024. Uber our toilet the blocking was gone and the hole under our toilet was too big. He also never sealed the toilet in the floor so you could just wiggle it around in the bathroom floor! A professional contractor would never make these mistakes. Water leaked underneath our bathroom, kitchen, and dining room floors and they all had to be torn out. We had to pay for the repairs out of our own pocket so we are currently $30,000 in debt. We are still fighting with his insurance to pay for this! DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN.

Bad points about the job, he left shims sticking out from the countertops, which caused a space between the countertops and cabinets. I already bought thin cove molding to fill in that space once the shims were cut off. He kept telling me he would take care of it but never did. I oginally wanted small 4" X 4" tiles to be used as a backslash, but he talked me into getting bigger tiles. I don't what kind of caulking product he used but the tiles are now separating from the countertop, now I'm going have to hire someone to recaulk them. I was going to hire him for another job for painting a bedroom and to put flooring in a closet. He was telling me , I should buy new baseboards, my wood baseboards are in good condition but just needed a paint job. I wanted vinyl sheeting in a small closet off the bedroom because there is a water heater in that closet, which had carpet and was pulled up because of a water leak from the water heater. He told me he wouldn't put vinyl sheet flooring in that closet. He told me to buy vinyl plank which I did which was not cost effective for a small closet. When I told him I was buying my carpet from Home depot or Lowes, he told me so you are going to trust them to lay the carpet. He told me he could bring some carpet samples for me to look at which will be cheaper then Lowes or Home depot and that he would put the carpet in. He never bought me any carpet samples to look at. He tries to manipulate you into buying things that is not necessary and costs effective. New baseboards went back to the store and so did the vinyl plank that I bought. Bedroom and baseboards now painted, vinyl sheet used for the flooring in the small closet, new door built to my water heater closet and carpet installed by Lowes.

It is not just the promptness that led to our satisfaction, and being able to work with us on a time crunch (although this alone would have been wonderful!), but the quality of the work. Our new kitchen looks truly amazing. He did not just install everything, but went above and beyond to make sure it was done perfect. He did all walls, cabinet install, floors, finish work, and more. Even the counter installers (a different company) commented at how great his work was, with everything perfectly level so they didnt have to do any addition work. The quality was amazing, the price was great, and the work was done quick, and without issue. He got all the proper building permits, had all the correct inspections, and did everything by the book. Two gentlemen showed up at 4pm. They said there was "too much water in the pipes". They removed my toilet and sent a snake down and put in some chemicals. Said they would charge extra to put the toilet back on. Told us if that didn't work to call them back and they'd come with "a bigger snake". Charged me $544. I called back that night as it obviously did not work. Night receptionist had no idea what I was talking about or that I was even a customer. Said she would have the owner call me. He did not. Called the next day and again was told the owner would call me. He did not. Called a different plumber on Wednesday who actually jetted my pipes. He also said the snake actually made it worse by pushing more down. I called the amazing receptionist again who said the owner offered me 10% off. $54 dollars. They did not do what I specifically called them to do -jet my pipes. I think it was going to be a long, messy job and they didn't want to do it, so they threw a snake down and charged me $544. If you need your pipes jetted, call Lamprey septic. They were amazing.
