I requested a diagnosis and estimate for a problem I was having with my garage door, and called around to some local places. Right Way was one of the easiest calls I made, and they had someone available in their office to schedule me for a free estimate that day. Couldn't argue with that. My tech, Connor, was driving all around the area, but called me when he was leaving Napa to let me know an approximate arrival time, and he was nearly on time getting here. At first, he wasn't sure about the issue, and he was straightforward about that. He told me what he thought was wrong (a crack in a panel), but the crack was really hard to find. He also let me know that my system was probably past its prime, said some of the issues I was having went along those lines, and explained to me that getting a new door (which I was going to need anyway) would require me to get a new motor as well due to legal changes since the door was initially installed. He gave me four different estimates for door and motor combinations, left me with a good packet of literature on my options, and made sure that my email address was correct before he left so that he could send me the estimates. The next morning, I received a follow up text from someone in their office offering me an additional discount from what was previously sent to me. Unfortunately, that offer never came through in email, and I ultimately went with another company for the installation that came in quite a bit under their pricing. Honestly, I believe even if the email had come through, the additional discount still would not have brought the price down enough to change my mind, but I was very impressed with the service I received. I would recommend checking in with Right Way for garage door needs as an option, and if their service for you was as good as it was for me, I'd hope you'd feel good hiring them. read more

Had 1 of 2 springs break on a weekend and called Right Way, an appointment was scheduled for 1st thing Monday morning. Conner called right before arriving on time, inspected the unit and gave a detailed assessment on the needed repair. Explained several hardware options with no sales pressure whatsoever. He completed the job in rapid fashion, suggested upgrading to premium door rollers with a substantial discount since he was already here. Found several loose fasteners and repaired them at no extra expense. Fully lubed the system and explained how to maintain it. Price was very fair especially with the extra services provided. I am completely amazed with the customer service and support that this company offered. To be completely transparent the job started off very shaky. An engineer came out to repair my garage, and I was very unhappy with the outcome. The engineer submitted the complaint himself and explained the situation. 2 weeks later Armando arrived to my home to assess the work. Armando was in agreement, with my complaint and immediately set up a time for another engineer to fix my garage. Tom, was then assigned the project. He fixed my garage. My family has been using this company for over 20 years. Service was good up to the past 4 years. Here is a list of current issues that we received: 1. March 2025 - Right Way Garage Doors did not honor their military discount for my family and would not respond to my inquiry as to why they would not honor the military discount. 2. 2023 to 2024 - within a 10-month time frame Right Way Garage Doors came out 4 times to service our garage door. -Visit 1 was for the annual tune up which my mom paid an astonnishing $149. The first thing that the technician failed to check was the battery to the backup that my parents had Right Way Garage Door Install. They should have checked the batttery charge or swapped it out since it was past its lifte expectancy. The second thing that the technician did not check was the balance of the garage door on the tracks. Please keep in mind that my family bought the garage door also from Right way garage doors. -Visit 2 happened a few months after visit 1. The battery that the technician should have checked died. So Right Way charged a service fee to my family to come out and swap out the battery that hey should have swapped out on visit 1. The technician confirmed that the battery was well past its life expectancy so he was not sure why the last technician did not check the battery status on previous visit. My family was charged for the service call and for the replacement battery. -Visit 3 happend a few months after visit 2. The garage door was rattling and was off balance. So the technician came out to grease the tracks and make sure it was alligned. This shoudl have been done properly during the tuneup. -Visit 4 happened a few months after visit 3, when right way called to schedule another annual tuneup. So within 10 months, my family paid for 4 services calls, and for services that should have been done correctly during Visit #1. The cost was close to a $1000. I am unsure why this company's service has decreased the past 4-years but it appears they are not taking accountabily for their errors. They are also overcharging for services and not taking care of their loyal customers that are elderly. read more

Where Right Way failed was in the original visit and estimate: first off, I was told I could get a side mounted motor, which would have been ideal. I even called out an electrician and installed an outlet on the wall for that, but when it came to installation, Miguel said it was impossible due to pipes on the wall that the estimator somehow ignored. I also pointed out to the estimator that I needed the door to match the others in the HOA in style, color and glass type. He wrote "transparent glass" even though it obviously wasn't. I failed to read the work order thoroughly and approved it, but when it came as clear glass I saw the error and asked for frosted. After some negotiation, Right Way agreed to change glass and I took the hit on the useless outlet and motor change to make it a wash. The crazy thing was that in the end the glass was not "frosted", but rather a different type called "obscure". Now how am I supposed to know that type of glass even exists? It was the estimator's job to do this properly and it was not done correctly. In the end, the entire replacement took over a month(!) to do, which is ridiculous. Installers Miguel and Mike were excellent, but the estimator and back office really need to get their act together. Be very careful if you use this company read more

Be very cautious about using them for your repairs. Ensure you get a quote upfront and in writing. I had a broken spring and was told that the repair would be covered for parts only. Amazed that for spring replacement in less than one hour was charged $349! When questioned I was told that I was under charged as the warranty only covers the spring that broke. We are in love with this transformation by Right Way Garage Doors! Our old door was dented and falling off of the track when we would open it. We were extremely impressed with the mobile showroom that our sales rep, Ken, stopped by with and the whole customer service of the company in general. They also have a cool computer program where they can snap a video photo of your home and then virtually show you what the new door design will look like on your actual home. Super cool! We had a new side mount opener (uh... who knew openers were actually quiet these days??), a higher lift track to give my husband more clearance for working on his Bronco (which makes the whole garage feel bigger!) and this beautiful wood door! They were extremely communicative about each step of the process and when it was finished being fabricated, called and were available for install the next day. Paperwork was easy and handled mostly electronically. Highly recommend them if you're looking to replace your garage door. I have an old house with a single panel, heavy wood door that didn't close or seal well. I called around for complete garage door and opener replacement quotes and remembered seeing the big mural on Right Way's showroom in Vacaville. They sent their estimator Ryan out, and he was fantastic. He evaluated the site, which was a little odd due to the old age of the house, and the special framing that would be required. He took pictures and communicated with his head installer to verify what would be needed. He was rolling around in a mobile showroom van that allowed me to see and touch examples of the product I would get (a pretty nice and unexpected touch). Ryan emailed me a couple estimates and after discussion, we decided to go with Right Way. We signed documents electronically and paid a deposit for the slightly custom-sized door that was built. I received very professional, regular updates from the office staff on the order status. I received a text that the door was arriving and scheduled the install, all by text. Carlos showed up to install the door (by himself), and I got really lucky with him! The guy has 20+ years of experience and did a fantastic job. He worked a very long day, performing some custom modifications and making sure the finished product was correct. You could tell he takes great pride in his work and the finished product shows! I had a garage door installed by Right Way through Costco two years ago. The purchase and installation went smoothly. However, two months later, the door started malfunctioning--it would open and close multiple times before finally shutting. Still under warranty, I called Right Way. They diagnosed the issue as a defective panel and replaced it for free, which I appreciated. But a year later, the spring snapped and the door wouldn't open. I contacted Right Way again, only to be told the spring wasn't covered. The technician said springs typically last seven years and blamed "overuse"--something I strongly disagree with, as we don't use our garage excessively. I suspect the repeated opening/closing caused by the faulty panel led to the spring failure. I asked Right Way to stand behind their product. After two weeks of runaround, I finally spoke with someone at the company--not just the call center. They agreed to credit the labor, but not the cost of the spring. This experience was incredibly frustrating. When you buy through Costco, you expect quality and accountability. Unfortunately, Right Way didn't deliver on either when it mattered most. The garage door is high value and the garage door opener is a technological miracle. It moves the door with very low noise, quick and save - it has a lifetime warranty - offers light, movement sensor for the light, . The door itself looks great from outside and inside. The installer worked hard and listened to my questions and answered them completely. He explained the garage door opener with all its features and left the garage super tidy. He even took some big card board pieces from other products which would have never fitted into my recycle bin without any extra costs. A very friendly and skilled guy who exactly know what he is doing. Bought a garage door a few years ago and they wouldn't replace the old one without buying an opener with battery backup. They were quick to get me an estimate and get the new stuff in. It's only 4 yrs since we got it. Now the battery is dying on the backup and they won't cover it! Some shady salesmanship going on there. What good is a battery back up if it dies and they won't cover it??? I will not be paying them to put in a new one either. Hope this helps anybody else looking around. I told them to get lost, he still charged he 39.99 for showing up. I was like what heck? I used RW door before a new door, I was happy with the service and return service. So I called them. In 2020, I got estimates from a half dozen garage door companies. None seemed nearly as impressive and competent as RW. I hesitated and procrastinated about whom to choose, and even had the same companies give newer estimates in 2022, but still had anxiety about whom to choose. Needed garage door repair for a broken spring. They came out and provided a quote with a Low, Medium and High cost options. The quotes sounded high to me so I told the Rep I needed to sleep on it. Then contacted two other local companies for quotes and both were less than half the cost of the lowest price quoted by Right Way. After talking to the other two companies I believe the lowest quote from Right Way was for the work needed. The other two quotes were upsells for work not needed.
