Had an issue with a old door opener that was failing. Kept bringing the door back up on closure, with no impediments. Called Mike to adjust or review the issue. Dakota came out the next day, friendly and very courteous. Explained the issue (which I suspected...very old garage door opener at end of reasonable service life.). Offered a fair price to attempt to adjust, or a range of prices for replacement with zero hard sell. I had anticipated needing a new one, and was given a couple options, no push for any price level. We chose and he installed on the spot within two hours. Very clean and thorough, fantastic install and the new opener is a fantastic upgrade. He also took the time to adjust and lube the springs and wheels for no additional charges. Excellent communicator (both Mike and Dakota) and something I respect greatly, when I asked him to explain the differences in openers to my wife, he was absolutely respectful, clear, and talked directly to her, not at her or to me like I have experienced in the past from other people doing work at our house (I don't park in the garage, I want her to be happy with the function!). I have a double garage door with an existing 1/3 Horse Power Access Master garage door opener that came with the house I purchased (the original from 2001 when the house was built). Mike and I compared the openers he sells with the ones I was looking at online and came to the conclusion to use the one I purchased online (Chamberlain B970) with using his new springs for a double door. Mike used the existing ceiling support from the older opener and the existing wiring with the new devices saving the walls from being ripped up. I had my garage door opener replaced today along with the springs. I purchased the Liftmaster 87504 because I wanted a quiet motor and I was not at all disappointed. I've seen reviews on YouTube stating this opener was noisy but it's ten times quieter than the one I had previously. The only thing I can hear now is the actual door moving up and down not the motor. The belt driven motor is much quieter than the 19 year old one I had when the house was built. I love the extra features like the built in motion sensor camera, bright LED lighting and the app control functions. Downloading the app allows me to open and close the garage door on my cell phone whenever or wherever I'm at. Now I don't have to worry about if I forgot to close the garage or not. I just open the app and it will display if the garage is "open" or "closed" along with the camera display. With a touch of a button on the app, that can all be resolved. It also sends notifications on your phone when the garage door has been open or closed. This feature gives you "piece of mind" when you're out of town or on a long vacation. What's also nice is that I can have other family members access the app on their phones. Last but not least I cannot forget the installer. He was very professional, kind and very informative. The repair/installation took about 3 hours but he did a very clean job. The quality and craftmanship looks top notch. He also looked over the actual garage door and did some fine tuning to make sure everything runs smoothly. Overall, great customer service!
