They wouldn't provide even a rough price range over the phone and instead offered to send a technician out for a "free estimate." After arriving, they quoted me $600 just for the springs. Around the same time, Manu from AB Garage Door reached out after I requested quotes from several Yelp companies. He gave me a price upfront that was significantly lower than what the other company wanted to charge for the springs alone--and his quote included both parts and labor. I scheduled Manu for the next day, and he completed the job in less than an hour. The repair also came with a three-year warranty, which gave me additional peace of mind. While he was there, Manu offered to replace my rollers at a discounted price. I decided to pass for now, but he took the time to explain how I could replace them myself in the future. Quick reply after I made a request for a garage door repair. My garage door wasn't opening. They came to my house the soonest time that I was available. It was determined that my sensors were just misaligned and the rails and springs needed to be lubricated. Ab Garage Doors did a great job figuring out the problem with my garage door, and fixing it as efficiently as possible, without overcharging at all, and in fact discounting my service. Manu came out the same day to check the situation, and determined I needed a new garage door opener. Since I was purchasing a new opener, he discounted labor costs by $150, lubricated the springs, and replaced the rollers, discounting those by $100. Manu was very flexible and accommodating about scheduling, and he was able to install the new opener within the framework of my 31-year-old one, without needing to cut into the garage ceiling/attic floor. They were quick to respond to our inquiry and come by to check our garage opener. After diagnosing the issue, provided workable options along with 3-4 year warranty for parts & labor to ensure it could remain operational worry-free. We opted for a service package deal to replace the entire garage opener to 1 horsepower & new springs, so they provided free rollers which has made the garage so much smoother & quieter. Even during installation, they encountered a broken roller hinge & installed a new one ($20 value). To avoid paying extra by credit card, he stuck around to wait as a family member went to withdraw cash and save us $30-$40. All the while, walking through how to connect our phone to the garage opener app for controls & camera. Some older parts they recommended we keep then throw out, so we have backup parts for things like the sensors. Outstanding work, all done within 1.5 hrs. read more

If I could give this incompetent so-called "contractor" ZERO stars I would. Against my better judgment I fell for his sob story about why my job was delayed over 2 months because he was sick. I should have moved on, but I didn't and now I am here to warn anyone else not to make the same mistake. This guy is an excellent salesman and that is about where his expertise stops. From scheduling, to communication, to the quality of work this process has been a nightmare. All we needed was new openers installed and it took over 4 months, 3 separate visits and hours of labor all for me to get the wrong product that still doesn't work properly. The icing on the cake is that if/when you have an issue with his work, HE WON'T RETURN YOUR CALLS, TEXTS OR E-MAILS!! WARNING!!! This company is NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR THE FEW DOLLARS YOU MAY POTENTIALLY SAVE! Run, run far away. UPDATE! Apparently you can get a call back. All you have to do is post an honest review of your experience and magically he knows how to return calls! I called today because my garage door stopped working and Manu responded immediately and guarantee a 2 o'clock spot today. He was on time and professional and knew exactly what was wrong. He replaced my springs on both sides and it was a fair price and he included some other minor fixes which he did not charge. You can tell he has a lot of knowledge I will use them again because I planned later on to change the motor to have a more updated system but he said it was no need for right now I highly recommend Manu being a female and getting people to come and over price "or tell you things to be replaced when it doesn't need to.
