The woman at the front desk at the 24th Street and Thomas is rude! Second time she has been with me. Elevators are down so I asked if there was an ETA on when it might be fixed. She very bluntly said "No" as is I was asking some ridiculous question. Then I asked since she doesn't know and it could be awhile, will they be crediting my account since I can't take things out or I'm my unit. Her response... Absolutely Not!!! The absolute worst company. My unit was broken into and things were damaged and stolen. Their response? "Oh yeah this has been happening for months". No email, phone call, or courteous text went out letting anyone know these units were being broken into. When I expressed my frustration the employer said "well I certainly wouldn't rent from here". I live in an apartment with limited space, hence to why I have the storage unit. The storage facility has most definitely gone down hill since I moved my thinks I'm back in 2022. However, with the rate increases I expect my things to be safe. They wouldn't even call the cops. They said I had to because it was my things. Yes, I would need to write that my things were stolen, however, the break ins happened on THEIR PROPERTY. I have dealt with the most disrespectful staff. I asked for my months refund back since I only stayed 10 days into the month and was denied. I have things I will never get back nor can I replace and they could care less. There are homeless living in the units, drug deals going on constantly, and no one does anything to stop it. I would never recommend this place to anyone read more

My experience may be unique, but they treated me like dirt. I've never seen anything like it in my life. I expressed frustration with receiving emails telling me I needed to pay my rent when I had already, days earlier, paid my rent. I was told that if I didn't like it I could move out, and then when I pushed back on their ridiculous behavior, they terminated my lease. You can't make this stuff up! read more

I was initially really worried about renting out a storage unit, as I had heard of horror stories, but my husband convinced me we needed to store our stuff while we were moving. He did the research on Black Canyon Bargain Storage, and I am so glad we chose it! We rented a 10x10 storage unit for a great price - very competitive to other storage centers, and Black Canyon Bargain Storage has better reviews than all of the other storage places nearby. The manager (owner?) is extremely friendly and helpful. She was training another employee the day we went, and both were friendly and went out of their way to talk to us and explain the different storage options. The storage unit itself was clean and the perfect size for storing all our boxes. You're given a lock and key that's yours to keep, as well, which was really handy because we didn't have a lock yet. You can add another lock yourself for additional security. All in all, very happy we chose Black Canyon Bargain Storage. It's a great price, great location, and the staff is friendly yet also vigilant about the people coming and going. read more

We all know no matter what the circumstance, moving all of your stuff sucks. And added stress is added stress, anything can add to that. Thankfully though in the midst of having to move my things, thank and praise God I didn't have to deal with any jerks when I got a storage unit. It was actually quite the opposite. Dealing with Laura at the front desk was actually really pleasant, which I was not expecting in the least. She was very sweet, helpful and just good people. This place is so convenient right off of the the I-17. They had some great deals right now for paying the first month then getting several free and that made this the best price per square footage of anywhere around that I saw. What I loved the most was the customer service orientation of the management. I was taken care of, all my concerns were heard, and they have been great about returning calls or following up with any other items that I need. The manager, Lacey, is absolutely stellar and very friendly. I will definitely get more units here. read more

Recently rented a large unit and found the manager (Lacey) to be EXTREMELY professional and helpful. She responded promptly to my emails, and was quite pleasant in person. The process of signing the lease was seamless and took all of 10 minutes. I feel safe visiting my unit, with cameras and lighting everywhere. I will keep renting here... it's convenient to me on Bell Rd and I17, and easy to get to from the highway. Very pleased with my experience and highly recommend to others. read more

Black Canyon Hwy Phoenix Az 85023 on a Saturday afternoon. The following day I loaded the inside of my Honda Civic with boxes a small table and a microwave. The entire backseat, and front passenger seat where packed. When I arrived to unload my car, there was a lock on the storage unit I just rented, and the office is closed on Sundays. I drove around with these things in my car until after work on Monday when I was finally able to secure an available unit. The unit was located in a small hallway. Within that hallway was one open unit. Relieved I unload all of my things. I was recently able to move my children and I out of our small two bedroom apartment into a beautiful 4 bedroom home. After my divorce i never thought i would be able to give my children a home again. Excited to have all our things in our new home I drove an hour to RightSpace to pick up my things. In the move I misplaced my keys and needed the lock cut off. I was willing to pay the fee. However, my contract with RightStorage states that my unit number is 334. This is not my unit. I was told it was, and I thought well it's been a while, maybe I just forgot. Once the lock was cut, the unit opened, well... it wasn't my stuff. Over the next hour I had to explain 3 times the fiasco from the beginning. I was asked ridiculous questions the just further pointed out their inept ability to keep their records in order. I was told several times that my contract stated this is my unit. Nothing was resolved and I left without my things. My children have been with their dad this summer, I wanted to surprise them with a new home, with all of our things that have s=been stored away since the divorce. I wanted to start this next chapter of our lives better than it ended. This was NOT "smoother", I do NOT feel like my belongs are "secure" as I am now at the mercy of whoever's name is on my unit. Because my "time is a luxury" driving around with my belongings for a day and a half and NOT being able to collect them after an hour drive and spending another hour trying to collect my things was NOT "hassle-free". My "money doesn't grow on trees" yet I get to spend it on gas to collect my things when and if this gets straighten out. My children come home, after being away for the summer to a new home, and I wanted it to be perfect for them. Things will be missing. This did NOT make my "life easier". When someone finally was able to look into the situation, it turns out the the units were all recently painted and the painters put the number up in the wrong order! It will be three weeks before I'm able to make the trip out to get my belonging. Meanwhile, My kids will be home, my parents will be driving in from California to see my new place, family will be visiting for a birthday celebration, and my things... the ones that were too important to let go after a divorce and downsizing, they will be locked up in a storage unit. read more

Great experience! I checked out many different storage facilities in the area to store my things during my summer college break and I found this place to be the best option by far! Used to be run by AllState Storage, and they ran the business very well. New owners, changed the name to Black Canyon Bargain Storage...TERRIBLE! Do not rent their units.
