I booked an appointment for a trailer hitch install. Bought a Jeep from a local dealership and just needed a hitch to be all that we wanted. The staff were quick to notice the dealership was wrong and the Jeep already had a hitch with wiring, behind a plastic cover which looked just like part of the bumper. I had a laugh and got away without owing them anything, not even a service fee for inconvenience or for taking their time. Staff overall were all smiles and super friendly. read more

I was living in Flagstaff and 1my lease had ended. I was in need of a storage to store all my belongings because i was going to be staying with family near Olive and 43rd Ave meanwhile i found a place.  I've seen nearby storages but they always looked sketchy and unsafe. I found this place and it convinced me.it caught my attention that the Storage Units offered controlled temperature. I didn't know how long I was going to stay in Phoenix and we all knkw how HOT Phoenix temps reach. I got a 5ft width×10ft length x 10ft tall. Came to find out the controlled temperature is only from their working hours; I was constantly having to stay pass their hours my stuff and it was HOT. Thank God they had a water fountain!!! The next day I madd sure to take waters while I finished unloading my stuff. I will say The restrooms needed maintenance. read more

Horrible experience of online go mobile booking. Reached inside store directly and store member told to go at uhaul online account and get the code for which can be used to unlock the number lock. Followed the process but instead of getting code it went to 'Awaiting approval' status. Waited for 10+ minutes and had to go inside store again. Store guy had to restart the process from his end. Store members are super helpful and attentive. Instead of saving half time by booking gomobile , i ended up spending double time. So can't give more than 2 stars. Might not be a problem of this particular store but uhaul as a whole was not upto mark. read more

We had a great experience at this location. The only issue we still have is billing. We got our keys locked in the back of the truck and was told someone would be sent out to help us unlock it. We took a picture of the back of the truck with the lock that U-Haul provides. The guy came around 45 minutes after the call and said he could not help us because he can only help with opening the front doors of the truck, not the lock to unlock the back. We did not use the service and had to get bull cutters to open it. We called immediately and told U-Haul that the service we were supposed to be provided was not provided and they ensured us we wouldn't be billed the $200. Of course we ended up getting billed so we called to get it taken off and was confirmed by an agent that it would be removed. It was still not removed so we called again and again and everyone who said they would help never contacted us back and we never got any information. We then were directed by many different departments to call a guy named Robert to deal with the payment issue. They said they he would call us back this week and of course no call no communication whatsoever. We finally today got his email from a customer support person to contact him. The fact that we need to call over 10 times to get this resolved when it should be resolved internally is absolutely ridiculous. I am so turned off by this company and the way they operate. Why is it up to us to fix a billing issue on your end??? Why do we need to waste our time, time and time again to get promised it will get fixed and it doesn't. Whoever runs the operations at this business is 100% slacking because this should never be an issue that a direct customer has to face. Also, the fact that we were promised time and time again that this would get resolved and it isn't is baffling to me. Horrible company to deal with I hope anyone that utilizes them never has to run into our issue of playing phone tag to not get charged something that was never supposed to be charged in the first place. Now I need to voice it here because no one will help us. Complete scammers of a company thank you for wasting our time!!!! I have used this specific U-Haul site many times while living in Phoenix and they're just so amazing! The last time I used them was last week for an out-of-state move. I got the U-Box (awesome value) and hired movers through them (Moving Forward -- the greatest group of guys!!). There were some hiccups with my order and getting it all paid for, but the manager was incredible! Instead of having me stand there for an hour while he spoke with corporate, he gave me the box and said he will get it sorted out. I know it seems small but honoring someone's time while they're moving makes all the difference. The whole team here are just super nice and helpful!! read more

Very disrespectful people working here. Came in to ask about a rental. Dealt with someone who is very rude who just gave me answer self yes and no. When I ask for more details he didn't say a word. Until I asked for a manager he said his manager wasn't working today. Never again. Even when I asked another worker there where can I park they told me you can't park in here and you can park on the side of the street. Absolutely horrible idea to utilize application technology with idiots behind the counter. A simple process which wasn't perfected became drawn out hassle and dealing with Dino was a nightmare. What made my trip even worse is the application gave numerous errors before allowing me to go forward. I came in for a simple 20 minute process which became 45 mins!!! read more

When we moved we rented a unit here and reserved a truck. I found out later that in doing so they should have given us a discount on the storage unit, they simply never told us. The person on the national phone line said it was too late to give us the discount since it had to be made at the time of the reservation. The move was expensive and I feel cheated by the salesperson that simply did not mention the discount. read more

We are planning a move cross country and are wanting to use the uhaul u-box. We went in the first time around 6:00 (we both work full time) and the only guy working at the time said he was not trained on how to reserve the u box for us. He said we could come back Wednesday and someone would be there until 7pm who could help us. Wednesday at 6pm we go back and there are few people working and again we are told no one there knows how to reserve the u boxes, come back tomorrow. Needless to say we will be perusing a different company for our move. read more

I rented a truck and dolly yesterday from this location. I had spoken to them about getting a good truck as I am moving to MO which will be about a 1200 mile trip. Service was excellent and l left with the truck. About ten minutes after I left, the GM called me and told me he had a new truck and dolly if I wanted to come back. I returned back and drove off the lot with a new uhaul truck and dolly! The General Manager was outstanding h along with his team. This is what taking care of your customer means. Other businesses should learn that customers do have choices and how they are treated determines if they will return. I've used this location numerous times and each time, have had a great experience. I had a hitch installed on my mini SUV and they did it perfectly, killer warranty, and very pleasant people. Customer service is SO important, and that's what this location is truly lacking. My husband and I went to go pick up a truck on 5/6 and while the employee was doing the reservation, he went outside presumably to check on the status of the truck. I used that opportunity to grab some boxes to purchase. I guess I was grabbing single boxes from the wrong place because I was pulling them out of the bundles of boxes and the man comes back in and says "Oh my god. That is SO irritating. I JUST bundled all those boxes and you go and do something like that?" So in absolute shock that he just called me irritating, I said "well maybe you guys should put up a sign instead of calling me irritating!" Then the chip reader was being difficult and he gave my husband attitude. We were horrified. It was our third day of moving and this is not what we needed in the slightest. We have a storage unit at Gilbert and Houston Rd location and can't say enough positive things about them! Too bad it's so far now. Horrible experience. read more

I rented a 15' truck on 4/23. The truck was ready to go with the equipment dolly and the furniture dolly that I had ordered already inside. The truck was fine. I had it for 24 hours. When I returned it they checked me back in quickly and emailed my final receipt. When I needed another truck the next weekend, I should have just went back to this location. I'm sure I would had a more pleasant experience then I had at the Dunlap & I -17 location. read more

We went to this place to get a tow package installed on our SUV. Frankly the people were really friendly and they were good to do the job same day without appointment. However mechanically they did not do the wiring right. Now whenever we use the hitch and hook up the trailer the fuse always blow out. A neighbor (a mechanic) of ours took a look under the hood and immediately saw that the wiring was too close the the engine, not insulated and not properly secured. Now we have to call roadside assistance to come and fix it, costing us more money. I wud not recommend this place to anyone for hitch installment. read more
