My wife and I moved to Prescott, Arizona from California in September of 2016. We wanted to establish a relationship with a local CPA firm to prepare our tax returns. We interviewed 4 different CPAs. I hit a wall on doing my taxes in TurboTax this year and decided to put things in Mari's capable hands. I also had a letter from the IRS challenging a previous year's return. She sorted everything out and had my returns done earlier than expected and was less expensive than going to HRBlock. UPDATE: Mari did our taxes again this year. Since we moved to Prescott, we had two state returns and buying a house, as well as business expenses and enough medical expenses to deduct. I've worked with Mari for three years now. Mari has her own forms which she sends to you (encrypted) that allow you to compile your deductions, income, and other related information. I think my wife and I spent about two hours gathering the information and submitting it back to her. Less than a week later, we were ready to file and with a nice surprise (refund!!!). Mari sends us a checklist to let us know what documentation is required which we can then upload to her. We can go to her office if needs be but we have not so far had to do that. If there are questions she will contact us. When she has completed the return she will let us know and we can upload them, review them, ask question etc. When we are satisfied she will then E-file them. A very painless process.
