If I could give negative stars I would. He ruined our returns for years and made a rather big error last year delaying our return for months. When it was brought to his attention he forced us to correct the issue ourselves and was extremely unprofessional as well as out right rude. I had our taxes done by someone else this year who was wonderful at which time she told me that he did not file with any of our 4 dependents last year. Our return should have been thousands of dollars more. I only suggest Greg if you are a fan of throwing your hard earned money directly down the toilet. Hands down the best tax experience I have ever experienced. My co-worker recommended him to me and after the experience I must write a review for Greg. I have had 2 different CPAs or tax consultants in the past 8 years. My philosophy has always been why do my own taxes when there are professionals that know how to do it better than me. Well the past 2 tax consultants made my life more difficult, provided no guidance and were not efficient. After working with Greg I finally feel like tax season isn't going to be something I dread as much (at then end of the day it is still tax season). I did everything over the phone and email with him as I live far from his office. Everything ran smoothly as Greg has a secure system to upload all documents. His communication was efficient and to the point and he actually got me a tax return! I know this may not happen every year, but I have not gotten a return in years because I have complicated tax issues. Been going to Greg's tax service for years and so has my entire family but i will not be returning. He sent out a letter stating he is charging the same fees for everyone even if you been with him since day one. This is when he did it out of his house which shows no loyalty on his end. He charges $195 for a long form and has his girlfriend who constantly needs to call him in for help doing the taxes as well. We received no instructions on what to bring even though when we called we let them know we were first time home buyers. The day after our tax appointment we got something in the mail for our interests so i called and left a voicemail for a call back. Someone texted me asking me to send over the information (not very professional). I sent it over and they texted back saying what we would get back we would end up owing them to fix it so not worth it to fix and that it's not their fault that it came after our appointment and they didn't know we needed it. I said i would think someone who has been in the buisness for 25yrs would know that if it is a write off to ask for it. They respond back in a text message to not be rude to them. Even during my tax appointment his gf said she should have let us know what we needed. I am loyal to the places i give my business to but not when they are not loyal back. He is clearly greedy when he won't fix something on taxes for someone who has shown loyality to him and gave him other customers! He has always complained about his marriage for hours, how his wife is pathetic and so on. My wife and I have had our taxes done by someone in Los Angeles where we used to live and every year we owed money. This year it came back huge. We owed over $8,000 in taxes! We were floored and asked the tax person to file an extension till we could figure this out. We decided that maybe another tax person could help. He was willing to stay open late since my wife doesn't get home till late from work. Then he walked us through where the other tax preparer left out items we could deduct. I met Greg for the first time yesterday and my first impression was that he was super knowledgeable of tax law. My tax stuff was a little bit more complex since I had a K1, a bunch of "work-from-home" expenses, and both me and my wife's w2's. He was able to squeeze out as much deductions we were qualified for and even taught me some new things that I didn't know were deductible. He is very affordable! This guy is good,I had a tax issue with the state that I had been fighting for over 6 years.I have hired 2 cpa's key tax group out of florida who was recomended to me by optima tax relief.They ripped me off for 2500.00.Then I hired stop irs.gov who got me for 4500.00 and jerked me around for a year.Finally just out of luck I found greg,he had my problem fixed in less than a week and only billed me 650.00.These so called tax relief places are crooks they get your money up front and win loose or draw its gone. read more

I discovered Greg on yelp and saw all the high reviews he received and was in desperate need of some help w/ our taxes. His fee was so reasonable and for new clients there was a $20 discount. His assistant Karen met us in the evening at 7pm to go over our taxes with us that had us so confused and worried. She took the time to go through them and with such a great sense of humor to lighten the mood. Greg then also came into her office that night to introduce himself and go through our taxes with us to make sure we were choosing the best option for filing. They spent a whole hour with us and due to our situation it was best to file through turbo tax as I had originally started with since we were going to owe $. Greg suggested we continue with turbo tax in a way that he described to us to make sure we didn't owe as much and so that we also wouldn't have to pay a fee to file through him since it would be more of a out of pocket expense to add to what we were already going to owe. I was so grateful for the both of them taking their time with us, being patient and doing all that they could to help us even if it was just advice. I know that Greg's time is valuable and was fully booked for this month, but he still gave his time and attention to us. I plan on referring him to everyone I know. Used "Gregs Tax Service" this accountant for years to do my taxes but had a very bad experience this year when filing for my 2016 taxes. Had my appointment. He made me feel rushed and was not very helpful as he usually was before in the past and acted as if he was in a hurry to file my taxes and move on to the next appointment during my appointment. Usually an appointment last about an hour or so but he pushed me out within 30 minutes like he was in a hurry wanted to get paid and that My appointment did not matter which is unacceptable. He "Greg" had an attitude and said I should feel happy and be grateful that I made what I made for that year. What kind of accountant acts bitter like that. He behaved with an unprofessional attitude with me which I can't believe because I used his services for about 7 years and always paid him promptly up front no question! Asked him a question by phone and was hoping that he could explain it to me in person. I asked this same question during my appointment and he asked me to put together my receipts and then call him back. He had nothing but a bad attitude that showed anger and unprofessional frustration. He also left a very mean and unprofessional voice message on a return call. He must be having an issue but that should not constitute treating a return customer who has paid for your services each time for about 7 years now. Will definitely not be using his services anymore. Beware.!!! I also have been using Greg's tax service for years (like Christina G), going on my 2nd decade as a matter of fact. As of yesterday I ended my relationship with him. It's not the fact that he cancelled our Monday appointment (3-12-18) due to a family emergency, totally understandable. When we went to drop off the our tax info on that day about 30 minutes after our appointment was to begin, he was in his office, looked at us and immediately shut the door, without saying hello. Totally unprofessional to say the least, but that's not my issue with him. I had no problem going from $125 to $195 for our simple taxes. However, my wife has a dormant business and does a little light housekeeping for a friend every other Friday. My wife's situation hasn't changed in the last 5 years. I went to pay the bill in his office and also pick up my taxes on (3-21-18), the invoice wasn't ready according to the receptionist, I spoke to the receptionist on the morning of (3-21-18), you would think that that would be enough notice to have it ready by the afternoon, again very unprofessional. I got the bill for $275, and asked why is it more that $195, she didn't know, had to text Greg, first to create the invoice, then text again to arelay my questions. The response was that for my wife he had to do an additional form, thus the additional fee. I know for a fact that the information on my wife's tax info was already in my computer, and he I'm sure it was a cut and paste type of thing for him for this years taxes. He wasted 30 minutes of my tiime yesterday, I should fill out a form and bill him!!!!! The point being: He has no respect for long term relationships and his love of the all-mighty dollar is shining thru... I have given him a couple referrals throughout the years, they have referred, and those folks have referred, like compound interest. I will be spreading the word that Greg has no respect for long term relationships starting with my neighbors, ex-neighbors, friends and he will see the "trickle down" effect next tax season. His reply in his email to me last night was that I could find a "cheaper tax preparer". It's not about the $$, it's about his disrespect for long term clients.
