We got married at Rimrock Ranch on 9.13.25. We were expecting to have an incredible weekend just based on our tour of the venue last year and our interactions with Gwen and Eric during our planning process, but the result was far and beyond better than we could have ever dreamed up. Gwen and Eric were extremely communicative and responsive, they addressed every question that came up, and provided us with all the info we needed about the venue, logistics, the surrounding area, and what to expect during our stay. It's worth noting that we stayed on the property for four days with friends and family and also hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome party on property the night before we got married. The entire team and staff were so friendly and accommodating and made us and our guests feel like friends we've known forever. This place is truly magical - from the perfectly maintained grounds to the vintage aesthetics curated (and hand made in many instances) you can feel how much love and care has been put in to making Rimrock the place that it is today. The venue has a rich history behind it and it feels like such a privilege to have been able to put our personal stamp on it for even just a weekend. Between the two event days, we worked with vendors provided by Rimrock, but also brought in multiple vendors and Gwen and Eric worked seamlessly with our planners and vendors to coordinate deliveries, set up, and event kickoff. Rimrock's onsite team provided excellent service for our bar and kept everything looking tidy and put together the entire weekend. Being able to rent out the entire property for our wedding party made the weekend extra special and we felt really lucky to be able to give our friends and family that kind of "home away from home" type of experience for a long weekend. And as an added bonus, we also were able to bring our pup and she had a blast playing all weekend with Gwen and Eric's sweet dogs, too. We hosted 100 guests and we had more than enough space for guests to spread out comfortably but it also still felt intimate enough to mingle with everyone. The property inherently provides amazing vegetation and florals as well as seating areas and fire pits. With hosting multiple events and a tight budget, hosting our weekend here had some built in features (florals, rentals, tables, glassware, place settings, restrooms, lodging) that made it possible to achieve our goals and stick to our budget plans. The collaboration and pre-existing personal and business relationship between Gwen and Eric & team and our planners (Bee Loved) was a game changer and we'd highly recommend working with local hi/low desert vendors and teams. A thousand thank you's would never do our gratitude justice - thank you Gwen & Eric for an amazing weekend. We will be back to visit!!!

Where do we even begin?! TRULY MAGICAL EXPERIENCE My wife & I got married at Rimrock Ranch on Saturday, June 10th, 2023. We arrived on site Thursday, June 8th in the evening & began the circus of preparing for our wedding. We had the entire property for the next couple of days. Family & friends staying in all of the cabins & lodge bedrooms. We really took over! We're loud. I'm sure the people in Yucca Valley heard us. Gwen & Reno are absolute ROCKSTARS. From the moment we arrived they were by our side helping us with absolutely anything & everything. Not only that, but they were imperative in the planning process answering every email, text, & phone call with kindness & patience. They prepped the space for our rehearsal dinner. They finagled all of the bells & whistles like ICE, CUPS, etc. They even got a Bluetooth speaker set up to play music. ABOVE & BEYOND. They were literal SUPERSTARS on the day of. Prepping the ceremony space. Answering every question. Providing cups after we forgot to rent glassware. Coordinating where deliveries & drop offs land. Just absolutely everything. There wasn't ONE single issue. IMPRESSIVE. KIND PEOPLE CARING PEOPLE GOOD PEOPLE A DREAM COME TRUE WEDDING VENUE Book Rimrock. Do it. You won't regret it! WATCH OUT FOR RATTLE SNAKES LOL

    Magic and Celebration!

A PERFECT Venue and a MOST Magical Wedding!! We had always wanted to have a ranch style wedding and Gwen and Eric have created the most memorable location and atmosphere to host our wedding. Our guests were blown away and we will ALWAY remember our weekend celebrations.

A seriously perfect venue for a MAGICAL wedding weekend. Gwen is absolutely incredible but was unable to be there for our wedding weekend. Reno was there all weekend helping us with WHATEVER we needed. All the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, professional, cool, fun, enthusiastic... I could go on! They are really there to make it the best stay possible and do just that. We have also stayed at Rimrock as guests and loved it. For a wedding weekend, it is wonderful to take over all of the cabins. The staff really make you feel at home. I will say, the cabins can feel a bit rustic! Design is A+ and super cool but if you are used to hotels, be prepared for some more dirt!!!! The Ranch itself is stunning. So many of our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to and RAVED about the venue! Because of the stunning scene - vivid stars, joshua trees sprinkled all over the mountains, etc, any additional decor is just extra! I would truly recommend Rimrock Ranch to anyone considering having a wedding in the area.... it is truly extraordinary.

Wowowow where to begin? If you're looking for a venue that provides both a scenic ceremony and/or reception spot, PLUS a weekend retreat this is possibly the best find in the greater Joshua Tree area. We stayed Friday and Saturday night at the venue with our closest friends which was a one-of-a-kind experience by itself, and the rest of our guests were completely blown away by the mountain views and beautiful desert landscape of Joshua trees and blooming spring cactuses scattered around the property. This picturesque oasis must be seen to be believed, and there is no doubt in my mind that our wedding photos are going to turn out immaculate. Onto the staff: Gwen and Reno were rockstars from day one. We knew they were our kind of people from our first phone call and that was reconfirmed every time we spoke to them. Despite the fact that Gwen was dealing with an injury at the time of our wedding, she was more hands on that we could've hoped for. It rained (and snowed!!) on the day of our spring wedding (we also got a cool rainbow out of it) and Gwen was there to help us make a game time decision about where our ceremony would be held on the property. We decided about a week before the day that because of the rain we'd need to move our reception to another venue indoors and Gwen was with us every step of the way offering us guidance and making sure it was a seamless transition and still incredibly beautiful. Because of both the venue and the staff, our wedding was the exact vision we hoped it would be, weather curveballs and all.

Underwhelming. I don't care how many Edison bulbs you string throughout the Spahn-like ranch, it doesn't disguise the fact that the cabins you stay in are subpar. While the rooms may look homey, there is no privacy whatsoever with the threadbare curtains that barely cover the windows or the thin walls between cabins. When the person in the next unit is having a normal conversation, it sounds like they are in the same room with you. And adding to this misery is the sound of the jet engine that passes for a heater/ac unit, which is conveniently placed 3 feet above the head of the bed. This does help to drown out the conversation next door but it makes for lousy sleep. I can only vouch for Cabin 3 but I have no intention of exploring the others to find out if they have the same issues.

Phenomenal venue for a weekend wedding or convention. The staff and owner, Gwen, are exceptional and provides wonderful customer service. A special shout out to Reno, and the others, who remembers to smile and made our weekend extra special.

Multiple comfortable sleeping options, from a 4-bed home to cabins to an airstream and the stunning Hatch house.

We wanted a remote, relaxing, inviting and beautiful space - while supporting a small business - our first trip in over a year due to the global pandemic and we found everything we dreamed of at Rimrock Ranch. While I can definitely see why it is an amazing wedding venue, we can also say it is a perfect retreat from city life for friends and family alike. Whether you're traveling alone, looking for a quiet time with your immediate family, or if you want to make a gathering with multiple households or couples staying in the wide variety of available spaces, Rimrock Ranch has what you desire. The kitchen was stocked with dishes and silverware, the accommodations comfortable, and the grounds equally enjoyable for kids and adults to explore. The lookout tower was a huge hit, as well as the older vehicles and the eclectic art. Gwen and Eric were amazing and accommodating hosts, always around as they live on-site but were never intrusive. Access is easy - quality roads, good signage, plenty of parking, and easily found on modern mapping applications. Internet was reliable and visiting Pioneertown, Joshua Tree National Park and the entire area couldn't have been easier. Highly recommend Rimrock Ranch for your next getaway - to quote a text from my partner, "I can say this is one of the best trips I've had" - great for kids and adults alike. Choose Rimrock Ranch - you won't be disappointed.

This was a perfect spot for my team and I while we were working on a production in the area. It was very well appointed and always nice to come back after a long day onsite. I look forward to returning and enjoying more time at Rimrock. Gwen and the entire team were always there to check in to see if we needed anything. 5 stars!

We really don't have enough good things to say about Rimrock Ranch, where we hosted our wedding at the end of August 2017. Our wedding was about 125 people, which was an ideal size for the property. We were able to take the property over for the weekend, including the surrounding area (Pioneertown / Joshua Tree) with the Pioneertown Hotel, innumerable Airbnbs, and Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace as the after party! It really felt like we owned that corner of the desert for the happiest weekend of our lives. The space itself is thoughtfully curated in a midcentury modern desert aesthetic that lends itself very well to artful, colorful events, which was our vision for our Bollywood meets vintage Americana wedding. Further, the stargazing from Rimrock Ranch is absolutely breathtaking and unlike anything many had ever seen - even our photographers spent hours capturing it for themselves. While all of our guests expected something cool, everyone was genuinely awestruck by the venue, landscape, & region. Finally, we can't emphasize what a dream Gwen & Eric were to work with. Not only were they extremely accommodating to us and our family & friends staying on property, but they were willing to lend a hand & expertise throughout the planning process. From our first site visit until the end of the event, they were always helpful and flexible with all of our crazy ideas and requests! We wholeheartedly recommend Rimrock Ranch! You can find our short wedding video here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usB1xUY2dF4&t=7s - which shows off the property really well!

In November I was fortunate enough to get married in this magical place. It was around April when I first met Gwen after they (Gwen & Eric - and Ellie May) had just become the new owners of the ranch. I was unhappy with the wedding that was coming together in LA so I ditched it all and headed for the desert. The instant I drove into Rimrock Ranch I knew it was where I wanted to get married. The desert air, the Joshua trees and cacti, and all the bunnies! Gwen and Eric were so awesome and accommodating every step of the way, going above and beyond their role as hosts. Leading up to the wedding I stayed at Rimrock I believe 3 more times as I just enjoyed being there. Staring at the desert night sky from the observation deck or sipping wine in the splash pool (obviously when the weather is right - when the air is the same temp as the water it's the weirdest and most awesome sensation). The grounds have that funky and unique to J Tree vibe while the cabins and lodge reminisce of the days back when Pioneertown was host to the Hollywood westerns with Roy Rogers and John Wayne. The Hatch House is a modern and super cool structure that was constructed after the original main house burned down many years ago. This is not an Air BnB, and it's not a hotel. You feel like you're part of a unique and friendly desert hideaway; sitting around the fire pit or hiking out into the expansive land beyond the ranch. If you're considering RR as a wedding venue, this is truly a unique spot with a lot of heart and soul. Great vibes and good people. I designed and planned our entire wedding and Gwen, Eric, and their friends helped make it happen. I seriously can't thank them enough. I'm also SO excited to see the upgrades and changes they've made since I was last there! Custom built beds, new linens and decor, and lots more surprises! You can peek at some of the action on their Instagram account. Aside from being a great venue, it's also super close to Pappy & Harriet's (where we had our rehearsal dinner) and the must-try La Copine (where we had our post-wedding brunch). If you're a climber/hike/camper/nature enthusiast, it's only a short distance to Joshua Tree National Park and downtown J Tree which has some great spots to eat, shop, and a farmer's market on the weekend. If you like to off-road, there are plenty of fun trails in the area. You can take a bumpy drive to Giant Rock after having a sound bath at the Integratron and visiting the Orchid Farm for a tour (then stop in for a beer at Landers Brew Co.). I'll be back again and again.

I'm super overdue in writing this review of Rimrock Ranch, which was our wedding venue in March 2018. In short, it was perfect. I echo other reviewers in saying this venue is ideal for a small/mid-size wedding and I'd reserve it over again 100%. The scenery is gorgeous, the cabins are so cool and have everything you could possibly need and more, and you and your guests will have the most stunning photos! I'll never forget the way it felt to look around on my wedding day and see everyone I loved in one amazing place, many of them experiencing the unique beauty of the desert for the first time. I'm sure lots of brides have similar cherished memories, but I think there's something special about Rimrock Ranch. If you've been there, you'll know what I mean! I have absolutely nothing but glowing things to say about the pristine property, Gwen and Eric, and of course their adorable doggies :) They were so generous and flexible through everything, from the moment we contacted them to express interest in reserving the property for our wedding all the way through planning and getting married! Since we were planning our wedding from the east coast, it was so great that Gwen and Eric had a list of vendors, photographers, and advice already lined up for anyone planning their wedding there. Clearly they do a lot of weddings here, and they're truly ready for anything that might come up--when it was really sunny, they literally pulled out a bunch of parasols so that my older relatives and aunt with MS could be comfortable at our rehearsal dinner. When we couldn't find a light switch to turn off some external lights as we were heading to bed, I texted Gwen and she did it for us from her phone. Just two examples of their kindness of many throughout the weekend! I'll mention that there are (obviously) rules to make sure the property and desert aren't harmed during your stay, but they're all totally reasonable and didn't get in the way of our weekend whatsoever. At every juncture, Gwen and Eric went above and beyond to make sure that our guests were happy and comfortable. We were getting married on a smaller budget, so we partially chose Rimrock Ranch because it was gorgeous enough on its own that we didn't need to buy/rent many extra things for the day. You'll see lots of photos of this place totally done up for weddings--and it looks so amazing in any form--but honestly, we were so excited to have our wedding in a natural, untouched setting, and it still felt and looked perfect. If you're in a similar situation, I can't recommend this spot enough. Many of our guests have told us this was their favorite wedding they'd ever attended. I don't think they were just saying it, either! This place is totally unique and gave me, my family and friends an experience we'll cherish forever. We're already planning on returning for reunions and birthdays at the lodge, which is probably my favorite part of the property. I've got my fingers crossed that I get to attend a wedding here one day! :)

When I looked at the photos on VRBO and Google (search "pipes canyon lodge wedding"), I was impressed by the 20 5-star reviews and the gorgeous weddings held at the property. In my mind, if this place is nice enough to be a wedding venue, it must be well worth $700+/night. At that price, I was expecting a 5-star property. It IS a charming house with a great layout, views, and amazing staff (see other VRBO reviews), but I left disappointed. Here's why: 1. It's dusty. REALLY dusty. Considering that the profile lists "low allergen environment" as a selling point, we were surprised to find that we couldn't even sit on the couch in the living room without having an allergy attack. There was a layer of dust on the lampshades and art in my friend's room and I woke up with a completely clogged nose and watery eyes when I slept on the twin beds. This place is in need of a serious deep cleaning. I suggest getting the living room couch and all bedroom throw pillows professionally cleaned and covering everything with bed sheets in between guests. 2. Rats outside. There were NONE in the house. However, one side of the patio was covered with rat droppings in the morning. From the porch, we watched rats scamper from one cactus to another. I would suggest putting rat traps on the side of the house to help with this. Our dog had to stay inside because she kept eating the rat droppings. 3. No black out curtains in the bedrooms. Ok, this is a desert house. The sun is in full swing by 6:30am every day. For the comfort of your guests, please hang up some black out curtains. Not everyone wants full sun at the wee hours of the morning. Considering the price we paid, it is not unreasonable to expect to sleep past 6:30am. 4. Great kitchen, but no staples. Sugar? Coffee? Napkins? Sponges? Nope! The kitchen had a very nice selection of pots, pans, and appliances, but we had to buy even the most basic items. When guests arrive at 7:30pm, it'd be nice to have some coffee available for that first morning. 5. Cigarette butts all around the yard and on the porch. It's a rental, I get it. I expected a "Non Smoking House" to clean that up.   6. Beat up furniture inside house. Beds gave us backaches. I paid a premium expecting a luxury rental or at least something nicer than my own house. May want to consider different pricing for weddings vs. families.

She said, sure, but she couldn't guarantee what the place would look like due to a bad sandstorm they had just endured. This place is like cowboy heaven. The cleanliness, immaculate. No sign of any sand storm. Every inch of the land is ornately and meticulously designed by her and her husband Manuel. Vintage objects placed here and there making every step of the landscape look picturesque. They greeted us so warmly and gave us a small tour of the outside including their beautiful salt water pool. We weren't prepared for the inside. All refurbished wood, native american carpet motifs, vintage knick knacks galore, and not to mention a stereo with a great record collection as well as air-conditioning and a TV. We were so happy to be at the Tower Homestead we quickly raced off to see our friend in concert and quickly came back so we could embrace this beautiful ranch. Manuel anticipated our move and when we came back he had placed salsa and chips on the table for us to snack on! In the morning Robin cooked us a great organic breakfast. Manuel took us around and we chatted about the history of the place. We got up early just to enjoy their company and the morning desert. Right before we left we visited Robins amazing store in town called Cowboy Attic where my friend and I couldn't help but buy some of that cowboy decor we had been ensconced in at the ranch. We told Robin and Manuel this wouldn't be the last time they see us. We are currently thinking of things we can do close by just so we have a reason to go back and stay. Without a doubt the best decision I have ever made on a Bed and Breakfast.

The outdoor area have their own shower and tub which has a window that you can open to view the sunset. There's also a queen size bed outside for stargazing or tanning. Don't worry there is an indoor bathroom as well with an amazing shower. Everything was so well thought out! Each room has a fridge that is stocked up with large bottles of water, k cups, teas, creamers and sugar. They give you plenty of towels. There's also bath salts to use for when you enjoy the outdoor tub. They make sure the check in process is smooth and easy. Our cottage was clean, cute, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and fun weekend. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked and the bed was comfortable. It is situated in the middle of all these cool boulders you can climb for views of the sunrise and sunset. There is a fire pit and a table outside to enjoy the awesome desert night! This is not your typical boring house on a cul-de-sac. We felt like we were in our own little boulder world. The location of the ranch is perfect. There are stores down the street and the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park is about 10 minutes away. Kiyomi is an awesome and friendly host! She knows so much about Joshua Tree and all the local events, since she and her husband have been there for years and years. They are so interesting and cool. You'll love them. We will definitely be back!

Our experience planning our wedding at DCR was honestly so easy and perfect that it seemed surreal…read more Only 2 months before our wedding we had to find a new venue and an assortment of new vendors, and luckily for us, not only was DCR available and able to accommodate a tour on short notice, Kiyomi knew a variety of local vendors and was able to make connections for us and even at one point was scouting vendor availability because she knew we were in a major time crunch! All while planning her own wedding, which was just two weeks before ours. Kiyomi was always quick to respond to our questions, incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful, and helped coordinate vendors and guests during our wedding weekend. As an added bonus, she and her husband Shane are amazing and fascinating people, and were a delightful addition to our wedding guest list. My friends and family enjoyed sitting around and swapping stories with them into the night just like they were old family friends. Furthermore, when it came time to check out, my new husband and I had less hands on deck than we anticipated, and were scrambling to clean but ended up checking out an hour late. The whole family was incredibly gracious and jumped in to help us pack and clean up. You can see for yourselves in the photos how expansive, intricate, and unique the venue is - you could walk the property 100 times and still notice new details you hadn't seen before. If you have the chance to visit or book as a venue you definitely should!

From the beginning to the end we had the best experience. The mansion has so much history, is perfect to accommodate multiple families with en suites, huge kitchen, many places to relax, and plenty to do. We had kids from ages 4 to 10. We thought we would run out of things for them to do. Not at all. The mansion is so huge, they had plenty of room to stretch out, the hills on the property provided for fun sledding and snowman building. The adults were either at the sauna, jacuzzi, kitchen, outside in the snow walking the 2 acres of property or just relaxing in one of the many comfy nooks. I highly recommend Edgewood Mansion for any type of event whether it's a birthday trip, family reunion, corporate retreat or any other purpose where you want to feel like you're at home, or provided for like a Queen. The location which is located higher up in the mountains is away from the traffic. The accommodations are immaculate and the concierge services provided by Chantal who was available to us 24/7 before we got there and during, was spot on. We catered instead of cooking which was so much easier on everyone so we could enjoy each other's company versus cooking. Chantal gave us choices and she had Mexican food delivered one night, Italian catered another and on New Years Eve we had a personal chef, Mike who is a master chef create the most delicious surf and turf dinner. We had piles of Alaskan king crab legs and the freshest, tastiest filet. Everything was provided. This was an amazing trip because of where we stayed, the owner Laura who was so accommodating and Chantal who was so helpful. Our friends have not stopped thanking us for coordinating this trip. We all got to spend time together with the kids together and not feeling overwhelmed because everything was at our fingertips. Thank you to Laura, Chantal, Irvin and the maintenance crew, Sherri our housekeeper and the magical Edgewood Mansion.

Laura, the owner, does a fantastic job of welcoming you, walking you through the sometimes labyrinthine maze of rooms, and welcoming you to a piece of history. Highly recommend for people hosting special gatherings, parties, family vacations or special events. Definitely worth it.

There was a visible to me roach problem on property. I counted at least 20 of these little critters by the walkways in front of the doors, in the rocks, by the cars etc.. I had gone to Pappy and Harriets for dinner and upon arriving back to call it a night (around 10:15pm) is when they were all out. Since it was dark I was using my phone's flashlight to to walk towards my unit. That's when I started to notice them. They were in the dirt, in the walkway and on the doormat. There was even one in the crevice of my unit trying to sneak in. When I flashed the light, I saw several of them scurry into the building crevices and being a prior Floridian of over 20 years, this gave me the major ick bc that means there is probably a huge infestation beneath the walls. They were nice and tried to move me rooms and on my way there I also saw a huge palmetto roach so I was like nope I'm done and loaded the car and did the 2 hour drive at 11pm. Staff was nice but seemingly they know this is a problem that comes up every so often. As staff admitted to me that the rooms closest to P&H and the parking lot have a bigger problem. They need to nip it so that people can stay comfortably at their motel. The weekend before, the motel was charging like 400-550 a night and honestly having that many roaches around property is unacceptable. Sadly after this, I can't come back. Would like to acknowledge that my 2 night reservation was refunded with no hesitation. Props to the owners for that.
