Two days ago my mom went to get her eyebrows tattooed by Yari. The first time she went was two years ago but it was done by her sister named Tey. Unfortunately, Tey was not available therefore she had forwarded to Yari. It looked fine until Yari recommended to lighten the inside of the brows for a more natural look. My mom trusted her recommendation and went with it. Right afterward it was not that noticable but only two days later it faded way too much and looked as if it's unfinished. My sister called Yari back about the problem and she said to come back after two months to fix it but she'll charge an extra $35. We are upset with the quality of her work and also no responsibility for her client. She only cared about money. I would not recommend to get eyebrows tattooed by Yari to any of my families or friends ever. She's full of attitude. How she handle business is very unprofessional. read more

It's the local hair salon that most Cambodians go to for some styling. I've been here a few times for cuts and color. If you know what you want and it's not too complicated, they'll do it right. If you're unsure, stick to something basic. If you want fancy highlights, go somewhere else. They also do fancy updos, even willing to open a little early (call ahead, of course) so you can be on time for the morning reception. The prices are reasonable and you won't feel gipped. No comment on the nail service, never did mines there. (05/1707) They have a new service! Eyelash extensions! It's the new thing to hit the US! Are your eyelashes short, puny, or invisible? No more! Now you can get long curly thick eyelashes! It's semi-permanent. Lasts about one month (of course, less or more depending on how you take care of them). It looks realistic and SO much better than the falsies you buy at the local drugstore! Only costs $75! Elsewhere is between $100-200. Really! They also do touch-ups! This place has been around for a long time. I just basically go there for a hair cut. I have had 3 of the hairdressers cut my hair before and although I basically choose the same old layered hair style I love, all three of them use 3 different techniques. The previous haircut was my favorite. I hair is very thick and coarse and she use these scissors to thin out my hair. She spoke Cambodian and very little English. I think sometimes hairstylist that are fresh from Cambodia do better hair styles than the American trained because I have had my haircut in Cambodia before and the ones over there do a great job. The criticisms I have is that they do talk smack if you don't speak the language and they seem to get distracted with conversations with each other. I don't think they do boy's haircuts very well either. I took my little brother there to get his hair cut and not knowing what to look for in a boy's cut I thought it was fine. It was not until I brought him home and my older brother said the fade was uneven. Its cheap. $10 for a hair cut and $15 if you want them to style it. The bargain is if you are going to a special occasion, you can have your haircut and have a fancy style and they still charge $15. read more

When she approached me I showed her a picture of the hair color & haircut I wanted. I came off as a picky client, but she was confident she was able to do what I requested. A Cambodian friend referred me to this salon for haircuts. The price is super cheap and my hair stylist (Rady) at this job always does an excellent job at cutting and styling my hair. The only problem is that even when you already make an appointment, sometimes you still have to wait in line once you get there. Okay, I'm new to long Beach. But this place was pretty nice and friendly. I used to drive to Torrance to get a haircut but I just wasn't feeling that this time around. So I yelped this place and it had great reviews. It didn't disappoint. The haircut I received was superb. The stylist listened to me all the way. And when I said I didn't have cash only debit. They allowed me to go get money from the atm. (Bring cash). They actually check to see if your haircut is going the way you want it. I personally don't know the difference with 3/4 or 1/2's so it was nice for them to ask if I felt the sides were cut enough. Prolly go back again when I need a haircut. read more

Just got a pedicure and I'm really dissapointed because not only did it take a quick 10 mins to do...the girl that did my feet was just in such a hurry she didn't even pay attention to detail...I feel like I just spent money to get my toes painted when I could have did THAT part myself haha. I still have skin on the side of my toes and on the heels of my feet!! She painted my toes very neat and was nice, but I came here to get my feet done the way they say they do them...plus I got charged $2 extra because I got 2 toe nails a different color...how about charging me an extra $2 to finish the pedicure ughhhh lol. That being said, this is also a hair salon so maybe, just maybe I'll be satisfied if I ever need a haircut and get one here. There's still hope haha! read more

I use to live in san diego and usually get my haircut and color(highlights) at this great salon called A Salon Paul Mitchell....yea lets get to the point well i now live here in long beach and decided to try this place out....i went to do my eyebrows here and i really like it she does a great job, but it has to be the lady who does nails or else the other one will mess up ur brows....so it was time for a touch up and this lady name rady did my touch up it was nice at first untill i put my hair up omfg was it F*** up it was tiger strips and cheetah prints..it was horrible!!! i didnt find out until i got home so as nice as i am i just let it be and got it fixed when i took a lil trip to san diego....oh yea and they do LOVE to gossip..... read more

I told the hairstylist i was seeing to keep the same length when trimming my hair but she didnt! I kept telling her that i want to save it for summer and she acted like she knew! She completely took 2 inches off and made made my hair a BLUNT cut when I never asked her for this! She ruined my hair and now I have to regrow it! Im sorry ladies but NEVER get mai! She doesnt not listen and go againat what you say and does your hair the way she thinks its nice. I am so upset with her and NEVER will return to her!!! I'm a makeup artist and a (now) certified cosmetologist and told her I was becoming an esthetician! She doesnt even know what that means even though she has a "liscense". I can assure you, its probably fake! She knows nothibg about hair and completely ruined mines and my plan for summer! Now I have to wait even longer for my hair to grow! Also! Screw the other "hairstylist" for sending me to.her! I asked for them.to.do it since they were free but sent me to her instead! Never coming here again!
