This is a new location and the sign above still had a different restaurants name. This was a great spot for Latin cuisine mixed with fresh pizza. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the cheese in the pizza as well as the seasoning of the fish. We will probably be back. 10% Military Discount year round!!

We got a sampler platter that included some croquetas, plantain chips, tamal, fried pork chunks, and fried shrimp. Zero complaints about anything! So so good. My main was the Sopa de Res, which was a hearty soup. The serving size was gigantic. I actually took most of it back with me and it made two more meals. There were lots of root vegetables, slow cooked beef still on the bone, a side of rice and corn. My dad got a huge Cuban sandwich that he also ate on for days and my mom had empanadas, which I finished off for a third meal. We also went back for pie. That was ok - it was extremely rich and kind of pricy at $13 a slice. I also tried their Cortadito and took it to go. Great coffee as well. Highly, highly recommend eating here. The decor is fun and the wait staff super nice and patient with all our questions. They also have a separate ice cream shop across the parking lot.

My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich with French fries cooked to perfection in clean oil, and I had grilled chicken (pechuga à la Blanche) with beans, rice, and sweet plantain, along with cilantro sauce. The portion sizes are very generous and we each had leftovers for another whole meal. We will definitely be back! I also appreciated that the suggested tip amount started at 15%. We left more, but too many restaurants have the suggested tip amounts much too high. Do look at the menu item pricing, as some dishes were $75+. It may have been due to portion size as well as ingredients.

Everyone in our group loved what they ordered. The food was delicious, the sizes were generous and the prices were great. It was around 9:30-10pm when we arrived and the place was still busy. It was fancier than I expected with a bit of a sports bar twist. The menus were on iPads. Our server was friendly and helped a couple people with their orders. I hadn't had black beans and rice in a while so I ordered it as my side along with the plantains and couldn't have made a better choice. I had a Cuban sandwich and my husband had a Cuban style burger. We ate everything on our plate. Yum! It was late night done right. The reviews had me uncertain but I would definitely eat here again.

These are the best frituras of bacalao I have ever tried and the sauce compliments it so well! We paired this appetizer with the mojito flight and they were absolutely delicious. You get 4 options, passion fruit, lychee, guava & coconut. Afterwards we ordered the vaca frita with moros & tostones. You can order them extra crispy which I recommend. My fiancé ordered the Chicken cordon Bleu which is apparently a staple here and it did not disappoint at all! Overall we had a great experience and the food was fantastic, you can't go wrong with Cuban food in south florida. The remodel of the restaurant was fantastic and you can't tell they put in a lot of effort making this establishment look really nice with a great ambiance. The items we ordered were a little bit more pricey than usual but we assumed that when we got iPads for menus! Gotta pay off the remodel somehow! This place was 10/10 with excellent service & will return to try other items!

I was hoping to track down some chicken vegetable soup and my Airbnb host recommended this restaurant. Apparently, my daughter, who has been staying in Florida for the past two months, has eaten here at Casavana. We started with the Yucca fritas, they reminded me of and tasted similar to mozzarella sticks. I really liked the texture of these, they had a nice crunch and the dipping sauce was flavorful. For our main dishes, I had the chicken noodle soup while my daughter ordered the Churrasco platter. Both were delicious, the soup was hearty and flavorful with nice big chunks of chicken and noodles. The Churrasco was a strip of tender, juicy red meat with black beans, rice, plantains and a side of chimichurri sauce. If I'm ever back in the area, I would absolutely stop in and enjoy another meal.

We called the restaurant and told them and they said bring it back and they would give us another or a credit. I told her I don't feel good from the few bites I had of the first one why would I want another one. They refused to credit me back and insisted I just take another steak. I would stay away from this place. I am also contacting the health department because they are selling people rotten food.

Beautiful almost white pea sized gravel and gorgeous plants and plantings everywhere (in&out). There's a false front (western style of the 1800's with a drugstore front on the left and a mercantile on the right, done in galvanized metal. Then you walk in and find yourself in a tremendous space offering a corridor of potted gardens leading you along to three spaces, one on the right for dining suited with picnic tables sporting tablecloths, enough seating for 85+. There's also a smoothie bar featuring blender drinks and nonalcoholic beers. At the center of this space, straight ahead is a mechanical bull upon a platform, with inflated walls and floor. There's someone to run that. There's another 2 areas to the left with several round tables for 20-40 others. Then there's the stuff for kids and more kids. Every kind of game for 2-12 yo kids, from little Jenga blocks, small & big trucks & excavators, playgrounds lg and sm, just all kinds of stuff everywhere, along with little picnic tables and small tables & chairs. Finally, at the back of the property are the animals. By the way the food is fantastic and not expensive and there's a menu for dogs too! Almost forgot, pups are welcome. Just 50' off of Krome Avenue immediately after 208th St. Check the hours first.

From the moment you walk through the threshold the staff was very very friendly and so helpful. They were very willing to explain the idea of the place. I got the pleasure of having a passion fruit and mango smoothie reminded me of one I had in Thailand which is a big deal cuz I have yet to have found something similar. I got my breakfast and Cuban food craving fix taking care of there. The coffee both hot and ice were absolutely delicious and satisfying. The only thing I can say is when you drive in parking seems to be very bleak. But there's plenty of parking behind in a parking lot. Overall I would give this please a 5 out of 5 stars everything from Food Service ambiance and the plants were absolutely stunning. Next time I go visit Miami that will definitely have to be a trip on my agenda.
