The food here is exceptional! I came once and had the French toast -- and I've been hooked ever since. I keep coming back because the food never disappoints. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because, while the food is amazing, the service consistently lacks the quality you'd hope for.

I came here searching for a crema de Malaga. They definitely did have it, I think it was a bit pricey a small one with taxes almost $ 8. The price was empty a couple having dinner on a corner and two ladies that came for a cortito. It was serve over cuban toast with slight butter. I did enjoy la Malaga because it taste like Malaga verse in some places you can taste only the cream cheese. They made in a way that was very light and that is how it should be. Is excellent for an upset stomach. I did like here is a picture. Look at the color. I ask for their cantina for a week. Is $ 12 per day plus tax and the selection is very limited. So definitely I won't do that, however might come back to try something else.

Food is always good and at an affordable price. Service is friendly and fast. Usually locals are eating here.

My breakfast fav: The breakfast called El Favorito, it comes with a cafe con leche, cuban toast, 2 eggs, ham or bacon and the best home fries. Apps: the croquetas are yummy and a perfect starter For dinner, I love their churrasco can't go wrong with it My fav soup: the Sunday special cream of pumpkin And my new fav is the Boliche yum yum yum

Very disappointed in all of the dishes we ordered. Everything lacked flavor. It all looked very good but the proteins were not seasoned. The tostones did not have a sauce and way too much pico which made the tostones soggy. The flan cheese cake was a very light flavor but not bad at all. Definitely did not taste like a cheese cake but it was good. Everything else was bland.

Steak ceasar was inedible. Tough and chewy. Steak quality meat was not used. The croutons were stale.

The place was a little confusing with multiple counters to order different foods. There were six of us and everyone ordered from different counters, so I was bouncing from counter to counter to pay. I only speak a little Spanish, and they only spoke a little English but we managed to get what wanted. There wasn't much seating inside, so we ate outside. It was brutally hot, but pretty comfortable under umbrellas with a breeze. We would go there regularly if we lived there.

This is like El Palacio de Jugós, but better because you can eat with AC. There are also some outdoor tables, if you prefer. I have visited twice this week. On my first visit, I ate the small completa with pork, white rice, red beans and yucca. Everything was packaged well and there was a bigger completa if you are more hungry. My friend had the pizza, but there was a 30 minute wait and well worth it. There is nothing like a Cuban pizza. On my second visit, I tried the frita which comes with lettuce, tomato and ketchup. What?! I changed that to just cheese and onions with papita Julianna. Well, they come with potato sticks, but it worked. The frita was very flavorful. Not the kind I'm used to, but I didn't find anything wrong with it. It was great! I had to get a guarapo (sugar cane drink) and that was delicious! The place has a special for the day and lots of sandwiches, shakes and foods to try. I asked if they have a cantina option and was told to look for it in their website. Overall, this place is a gem. I loved everything about it including the music in the parking lot. I plan to return as much as I can.

For me, their best is the rabo encendido (ox's tail) with mashed potatoes and salad as sides. The staff is nice, they work hard and are always at your service, and the location, while small, doesn't feel crowded or noisy. The parking is a bit of a challenge because it doesn't allow for many cars and it is shared with other three stores, but it's usually sufficient.

The vaca frita here tastes really good, but all and all its nothing special, some pieces were tough some were very tender. The vaca frita was cut in big chunks, I would have liked it a little more shredded.I also had rice and beans sweet plantains and French fries. The fries were the best, nice thick crispy and crunchy, the plantains were OK, the rice and beans were pretty standard. The ambiance was nothing special at all. I ordered to go so I didn't receive any service, but just an FYI because they will not disclose this information with you when you order takeout they charge you an extra $.35 per item. That is WILD! I saved my bill so you can see it. I'm wondering if they do the same on door dash. I will continue my quest to find the best vaca frita in south Florida.
