Dining room closes by 21:30, not in the signage anywhere. They recommend take out order but they have messed up orders repeatedly. How can you send out an order without rice? Their food is mediocre at best, service on par with food. Lousy, would rather go to McDonald's. My wife and two toddlers walked in and were greeted right away. We were able to sit where we liked. Our family was hungry and had just come off the road from driving for 5 hours. I came here searching for a crema de Malaga. They definitely did have it, I think it was a bit pricey a small one with taxes almost $ 8. The price was empty a couple having dinner on a corner and two ladies that came for a cortito. It was serve over cuban toast with slight butter. I did enjoy la Malaga because it taste like Malaga verse in some places you can taste only the cream cheese. They made in a way that was very light and that is how it should be. Is excellent for an upset stomach. I did like here is a picture. Look at the color. I ask for their cantina for a week. Is $ 12 per day plus tax and the selection is very limited. Very disappointed in all of the dishes we ordered. Everything lacked flavor. It all looked very good but the proteins were not seasoned. The tostones did not have a sauce and way too much pico which made the tostones soggy. The flan cheese cake was a very light flavor but not bad at all. We have gone twice to this restaurant which us very close to our home, its great for a breakfast food is ok and the staff is ok but it bothered me that both times I've gone they show one price on the menu and when i look at the bill the price is higher, when i asked the waitress she told me "Oh, the owner alreasy knows' but they havent printed the new menus yet" so for me that's called false advertising, I didn't want to make a big deal about a $5 dollar but its very wrong to make someone think they are paying one price and then charge them more, just for that I'm not planning to eat there again. read more

Their chicken salad is tasty and filling. Their Chicken Tropical is grilled without the skin and served with any of your favorite sides. Their plaintains and tostones are delicioso! I enjoy the Cuban wrap which has plantains, black beans, your choice of pork, ground beef or chicken and onions if you'd like. Hubby enjoys the Miami sandwich for lunch. Try their Carne con Papas (Beef Stew) their Weds special which sells quick! Even if you don't like Cuban Coffee, the aroma lifts the senses! Of course it has the beautiful foam on top! If you plan on ordering from Uber eats, just know that they have it set to delivery by merchant. Which means they have their own delivery person, which means they decide when they want to deliver the food, so your food could be ready, sitting on their counter, and they have how ever long until when they decide to deliver the food... which means by the time the food gets to you... it will be cold. I've ordered here plenty of times and there have been times when my food has been cold, and I've had to go back and ask to remake it (which also allowed me to see how long it actually takes to make the food) hoping they'd get it right, but they still continue to draw out the 45 mins they give themselves to take the food even if the food was ready in 5 minutes. This has given me the insight on the business practices they enact. Everything I've experienced shows me that all these people care about is money and not the customer. ( coming back to respond to the business owners response to me ) as you can see by their response this is the type of poor customer service they provide that I am talking about. This is the type of behavior you should expect, people who run a business who act so helpless and insult their customers... if you continue to read other reviews, I'm not the first to have this same issue, and it's clear they don't plan on getting any better. I have ordered many times from This place, but lately it has gotten bad. Recently I picked up two chicken soups. They tasted very bad and were very salty. I also ordered puerco guisado (in sauce) and was very greasy. This past weekend I ordered lechón asado. I have never seen the lechón asado chopped up in tiny pieces. The skin was chopped up with the pork, but the skin s very soggy. It was salty but hardly any flavor. I had to throw it away. read more

I've eaten here on many occassions & the food is consistantly great as are the Colada's. I've tried Cuban food all over Miami & Cubavana is in my top three. Food: The tostones rellenos & fried yuca are my go to appetizers along with the fresh bread served. The steak sandwich & grilled chicken sandwiches are also excellent. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu here. Service: I started eating there often enough to become a regular with our favorite server, Claudia. She remembers my likes & dislikes as I can be a picky eater & is always friendly & attentive. Atmosphere: The restaurant itself isn't very large, but it has a nice relaxed feel to it. Fresh flowers are on each table. There isn't a traditional take-out window however it isn't needed. The main counter serves the same purpose & is immediately there upon walking in. I love Cuban food and this place is no exception! The food was really good I had the vaca frita with black beans and rice and sweet plantains. I really enjoyed my meal but I found my vaca frita to be heavy onion and light on the meat. The flavor was on point and priced fair but meat portion was a little small. The issue was more with the lack of service I received. I was the only customer in the restaurant. My drink was only refilled twice (small glass) and I had to ask both times. It took 8 minutes to get my check because the waitress was busy talking to a group that was arriving. I was a bit let down by the overall experience because I had high hopes for this place because it is so close to home but thats the way it goes sometimes! read more

First time here and it's a mom and pop restaurant. I visited this spot for breakfast with the wife and must say we enjoyed the meal. I had the steak with eggs.... I don't like eggs, yet our waiter suggested scramble with American cheese and it actually was enjoyable. Nothing fancy here, but good and service are great. read more

The restaurant service was terrible; they left my food on the sidewalk outside my house without any notification. When I called to inquire, as they were 35 minutes late, the person on the phone insisted the food had been delivered. My husband checked outside and found our order surrounded by flies. WOW ! I've been a steady customer for a few years now at the Cutler Bay location ( my kids LOVE the treat after dance class at Hipnotic Dance !) and they never fail ! I had them cater a small party last weekend and again , fantastic ! All the food , lechon , picadillo , arroz imperial , yucas fritas , maduros were the BEST locally made Cuiban Food we've ever had ! Something about thier catered food made it top nothc and better than usually which is saying a lot ! Props to Elsa Ruiz for the catering help and making everything sooo easy ! So I got the special of the day, which was churrasco topped with shrimp. Now, entrees come with two sides. You may chose two among rice and beans (together) rice, black beans, fries, plantains, yucca (steamed or fried), mashed potatoes, salad... and I think I'm missing some, but the important thing is: some of them have a surcharge, others don't, so be sure to ask before ordering. I did like the black beans a lot. The rice's consistency could've been improved, the fries are definitely not their strong suit. But the churrasco was way too good . The shrimp's sauce was nice, though the shrimp themselves could've been better. My father had a breaded steak, he says he eats it all the time and he loves them, but today it wasn't as good as usual, I'll take his word for it, I didn't try it. My mother had the... asado de bola, I think it was called... I'm not sure, but it was really good. I tried it and I'm definitely ordering it next time. As dessert, they both had the flan, I had the tres leches. They were very happy with their flans... the tres leches was not bad, but not what I'd call a tres leches: it was ore of a cake with cream on top and bathed in condensed milk.
