I have been a client at Rinnova Skin and Body Center for years for various services, but I will not be returning due to my experience with hormone replacement therapy under Dr. Rastegar. I went in for estradiol pellets to help relieve a few menopause symptoms. At a later visit, while describing new symptoms, Dr. Rastegar discovered and acknowledged she had forgotten to prescribe progesterone, which is a necessary part of this procedure. She inserted another estrogen pellet before addressing the issue, and added a prescription for progesterone. Once I started taking the progesterone, for the next few months I experienced heavy bleeding and painful cramping, ultimately requiring an ultrasound at my own expense that showed a thickened uterine lining, which is a documented result of receiving estradiol without progesterone. When I raised concerns about the prolonged bleeding, discomfort, and the initial oversight, the response was dismissive and framed as "just a risk of HRT". Dr. Rastegar held no accountability of her oversight, nor did she offer meaningful support. Hormone therapy requires careful management and follow-up. That standard was not met in my case, and I want other women to be fully informed before seeking similar treatment here. read more

I have gone to Rinnova on several occasions for expensive treatments and have always had a nice experience with the providers. However, this company has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I can't recommend them. A while back, I had tried to get appts for a treatment, but was forced to late cancel twice due to me contracting covid and then my elementary aged daughter contracting covid, once I had a cold sore and they asked me not to come in, and once because I am a displaced elementary teacher and was asked to teach last minute. As a displaced teacher, it is crucial to be available so they will call you again in the future. Rinnova charged me for these late cancellations, which was okay. I understood they were not able to fill that slot regardless of what had gone awry for me. It was a short string of bad luck when I've never had issues with coming to my appts there in the past. For my last appt, they told me it would be no problem to reschedule but that if I canceled one more time then they would not be able to book me in the future. I of course understood this to be the agreement and so I accepted the substitute teaching job for the day and rescheduled, and honored our agreement. Everything seemed fine. I just tried to schedule the same procedure a year later. I intentionally waited until summer so that any substitute teaching assignments would not conflict. After booking my appt, Rinnova called me to say I am not welcome at their business any longer, despite having come to the last appt. It is so disappointing to see a business not be understanding about two conflicts due to covid and the plight of a displaced educator. I honored our verbal agreement which they proposed, and they retracted it a year later; and over the phone, made me feel embarrassed and shamed for it. read more

The staff is really pleasant but the tactics felt fear-based. I'm 39 years old and the esthetician referred to the fact my "skin had aged a year" since my last treatment and I would need 50 units of Botox to make up for that year. She also referred to my lids as "heavy." So, for background purposes, I've gotten botox for 12 years in various cities and this approach doesn't work for me. It's a turn off as it's really obvious what's going on. I get that youth sells but want to make sure we aren't going around making women feel bad about themselves in order to charge them for more services. Also, 50 units is nearly twice the amount I usually get (I usually get around 30), so that was a flag too. I don't like being overcorrected (NOTHING is worse than frozen Botox face. I'll take a few wrinkles over that anyday - plus it's not good for my job to be overcorrected). Most Med Spas these days are up to date on smaller doses of Botox to make it look natural. I can't say from my visit that this spa understands that. Some people like strong Botox so maybe that's my review is different than what you're seeing here. I won't take the chance on a frozen face so I am now in the market for a Med Spa with a more natural approach. read more

In the throes of mid-life and wanting a subtle... something, I found all I need here to feel good about me. Lili did an amazing job with a filler, then I signed up for two Halo Laser treatments. Oh, the 80s were fun with no sunscreen. These pictures are before and after the two treatments. They weren't fun, but they weren't terrible (I did go back for the second one!). l've really grown to love this place. I've been a client for over four years now, and each visit is better than the last. I have been looking to get my lips done for the last several years, but never had the finances or guts to just do it! I went in for a free consultation with Lili as Tara had suggested was the "it" lip girl around. Let me tell you, Lili did not disappoint in the slightest!! Going in to my consultation I had no real idea of what to expect, but Lili was very patient with me and super knowledgable. She explained the process from beginning to end including after care and possible after affects such as bruising or swelling. Her schedule was so flexible she got me in that very afternoon and even offered financing through Care Credit. So basically, I requested the va-va-voom version of my natural lips. I purchased a single syringe of Juvederm Ultra and we were ready to go as soon as I was numbed up. Lili was so calm and relaxed that it gave me no anxiety whatsoever! That's a big deal for me. We decided on using part of the syringe my first time around to allow myself to adjust to the look. Lili recommended to come back within a few days if I wanted to complete the syringe. The duration of it all took maybe an hour and half, if that. I was given an ice pack for the ride home to aid in swelling and I was good to go. The next morning some swelling did occur, but no bruising at all. I did however develop a ball on the inside of my upper lip which is totally normal and an easy fix. I told Lili at the follow-up appointment about it. She dissolved the ball and kept my lips beautifully intact and full. I literally can't recommend her enough. Beauty by Rinnova I stumbled upon a Rinnova ad while browsing through a marketing email that was sent to me by Living Social. I usually stop myself from running up my credit card tab with "deals that only a fool would pass up," but this time I figured I could use a little help in the beauty department. Rinnova sold me that winning ticket! I couldn't pass on the opportunity to patronize a new & budding establishment like this one. They offer body contouring, skin tone evening, skin rejuvenation, and other aesthetic services for those that would like to give their body a little extra TLC and pampering. I did a little research to see what this place has to offer. Their websites is fairly nice with great information for their patients. The site layout is visually appealing but could be a little more user friendly. It's a little awkward to navigate but that may be due to the device I use to browse the internet with (tablet). Regardless, Dr. Becker seems to be a legit and well-versed doctor with all his credentials in plain sight for those needing references or piece of mind. They get 4 stars for networking with a great online marketing site that offers amazing deals. I'm a suckers for places that are willing to share the love by offering bargains to the community all while getting their name and brand out there. Rinnova is a newer facility and lacked negative feedback (which is a good thing). I ultimately decided to take them up on their offer and purchased a deal today to give them a try. I am excited to book an appointment with them soon. I look forward to chatting with the staff and doctor to see what beauty options I have for my unique body type and needs. I moved to Boulder a year ago and purchased services through Groupon to try out most of the med spas in town. Coming from Dallas, Texas where there is a med spa every few blocks (or seemingly so), my expectations of a med spa ran high. I found Rinnova to have the most friendly and knowledgeable staff. They always greet clients with genuine warmth and excitement. This is not an establishment where staff walk by and don't acknowledge a client's existence; their response to all clients is quite the opposite. Dr. Becker is a graduate of both Harvard (undergrad) and Emory (medical school) universities, and Dr. Rastegar is a graduate of Yale (undergrad) and Emory (medical school) universities. Both physicians are not only exceptionally intelligent, highly educated, and accomplished, but they also possess an approachable, compassionate, and professional demeanor. I am Lili's client and find her to be nothing short of wonderful. She is very knowledgeable about and skilled in the services she provides. It is apparent that she keeps abreast of the dynamic changes in the industry, and she shares pertinent information with her clients. Lili is always upbeat and enthusiastic, which enhances the client experience. Lili understands that clients wish to be their best selves, and she helps them achieve that goal. I also admire her for not trying to sell me services that I don't need. (Dr. Becker also does not sell services to clients that are unnecessary, and I'm assuming that Mina and Dr. Rastegar don't either.) Even though I haven't had as much contact with Mina and Dr. Rastegar as I have with Lili and Dr. Becker, they are always very accommodating and supportive. I have heard wonderful things about them from other clients. Last but not least, Tara (the receptionist) is fantastic. She is very outgoing and warm, and expresses a genuine interest in clients and their experiences with the spa. Tara goes above and beyond to ensure that clients are being well-cared for. Rinnova hosts several happy hour events a year during which time they teach clients about products and services in a relaxed atmosphere. This is a fun way to meet other clients and to win free giveaways. The spa has a membership package and offers amazing promotions and sales throughout the year. I went in on Friday for a custom facial. It was a total lackluster experience. First of all, this is not a spa. It's very clinical. The room was stark white, the 'soothing' music was terrible, and it's right on 30th St., so the road noise is quite noticeable. The chair/bed is very uncomfortable and it's not heated. The room and the 'massage' lotion were freezing. There was nothing custom about the facial. She didn't ask me anything about my skin. The products seemed generic. It was a basic cleanse, exfoliate, and mask. She didn't even remove my eye makeup or use any eye products. All of this for $100. Will definitely not go back. read more

Hello! I had my eyebrows microbladed and didn't do a ton of research on what it was or what to expect. I met with Lily and she gave me a good consultation, so I set up my appointment. My eyebrows were VERY dark after, but she explained that this is part of the procedure. It is a necessary evil. After three weeks, my next followup appt occured, and by then the eyebrows had lightened. Cut to about four weeks post original appt, and I think I look pretty awesome. :) I am so happy I did it. My eyebrows look real and not pencil'd on, how I was doing it before. I can swim and have eyebrows or wash my face and not have to quickly put on my brows. Best $600 I have spent. Excellent dermatology office. The doctor and staff are pleasant, professional, very good at what they do, and their prices are really reasonable. For example, my wife needed a cist removed. Rocky Mountain Dermatology wanted over $800, and the work would have been done by a technician. At Rinnova, it was less than half and the work was done by Dr. Becker, a dermatologist. They also were able to get us in without having to wait weeks or months like some of the other offices. read more

I'm a tad bit frustrated, to say the least. I was SO incredibly excited to have coolsculpting done on my arms as they have always been a problem for me as a I lose and gain weight. The lady that did my procedure was so nice and comforting and assured me that I would see results that I'm more than happy with. Multiple times she assured me of this. I was only doing this procedure because I have talked to surgeons who recommend this for patients who don't want to go under the knife so I was very confident going in that I would see results. It has now been 2 and a half months (You're supposed to see full results by 2 months) and I have zero results. Nothing. No inches lost, not fat loss, nothing. I had planned on going in and getting this done on my back as well, not anymore. I just wasted almost 2 grand (1400) on a procedure that was guaranteed to me that it would work. I am incredibly disappointed and will be going somewhere else for my treatments in the future. UPDATE: I'm really impressed that they reached out to me and tried to make me happy, which made me happy in itself. We are going to wait one more month to see results as I was informed that sometimes results are slower to see than others so I am going to be patient and wait and hopefully see results! read more

I had some frustrating issues with monthly billing after cancelling a membership program that took a few months to resolve, but they handled it professionally and with an apology for my troubles. So I used the Yelp booking tool and when I arrived they had no record of my appointment. The front desk woman seemed to recognize that this had happened before- not sure where the disconnect was. Anyhow, the place is immaculate, the staff is friendly, the doctor happened to have time to see me and after a short amount of paperwork I was seen quickly. I like the the doctor is a dermatologist so I could consult on skin issues and know I was receiving advice from a physician. I was amazed at how the aesthetician Annette and the spa atmosphere made even microneedling my skin feel like meditation, so I went ahead and booked a facial. That is something I do not regret.
