If none of that sounds like a problem to you, do know that when I asked her medical assistant a question about the serum being applied to my face for after-care, the assistant didn't know and had to read the label. Also, as far as front desk help goes, way too many assistants that you get bounced around with, taking payment and shuttling you through. After my appointment in January, I was initially told I would not receive a bill. A few months later, my credit card was charged $28, which was not an issue. However, when the charge appeared on my bank card, it showed up as "Boulder Valley Dental Office" rather than Boulder Valley Dermatology. Because the charge name did not match the provider I visited, I reasonably believed it could be fraudulent and reported it to my bank. I later spoke with Flora in the billing department, who explained that they are aware of this issue and have been trying to resolve it for over a year. I was also told this problem primarily affects customers using certain banks. Unfortunately, despite the confusion being caused by the billing descriptor, I was still charged a late fee. My original balance was approximately $28, but I recently received a bill for $63 due to added fees. While I appreciate Flora's assistance during our phone conversation, I was ultimately told by her supervisor that I was responsible for paying the full amount, which I did. I truly like the medical staff and the care I receive here, but this situation felt unprofessional and unfair. At a minimum, patients should be proactively warned that charges may appear under a completely different business name to help avoid unnecessary fraud disputes and late fees. The professional thing to do here would be to give me those late fees back.

The complaints I noticed are "rude reception behavior" and "aggressive tactics" by the billing department along with the typical petty bs that someone had to wait longer than they expected (a frustrating but reasonably common event at any medical facility).
