Had my first visit to RiNo Nail bar and it's a mixed bag. Pros- the atmosphere is nice inside. I especially like the set up for manis and pedis. The mani stations are set up like an actual bar so it's really nice to be able to go and chat with friends while you are there. The chairs and bar heights are comfortable and perfect for getting your nails done. The young woman who did my nails seemed fairly flexible around helping me pick from the designs I was looking at and actually ended up picking two and mixing them together. I really like working with folks who are comfortable with a little creative license. Overall, she did a pretty nice job but there were some snags along the way. I also like that the art and extras seem priced together- sometimes places will add on all sorts of odds and ends for any type of art, combining them seems like a more reasonable way to charge. Although the pricing is clear on the website, which I appreciate, the overall experience really fell short given how expensive the prices are. Cons- given that I'd checked out the prices ahead of time and my friend recommended the place, I was really looking forward to a top tier nail experience. I don't mind paying more for a nice experience. The staff seemed inconvenienced by our presence. The folks that ended up helping us didn't even introduce themselves before just asking us "what do you want?" I don't expect a ton of conversation, but basic niceties are the bare minimum when you are paying a premium, in my opinion. The young lady helping me also cut my finger which I understand happens occasionally but she tried to say it was because of a hang nail but I saw her clipping the same spot when some of the gel spilled over. She also didn't apologize or check to see if I was ok when she saw me bleeding. The overall finish was pretty good but there's definitely some missed spots with the top coat which again, you don't expect at a higher end place. I also thought given the nail bar name and actual bar, the lack of beverages available/offered seems like a missed opportunity to elevate the experience. TL; DR- pretty good nails and artistry, lack luster customer experience. Would I go back again? Probably not in this economy. I can't justify the cost with a middling experience. I'd rather go to a business that likes having me there. read more

I stopped in a few weeks ago with two friends to get our nails done. I got a dip manicure with tips to make everything the same length. Standard enough I figured. The tech rushed through my manicure and almost cut to my cuticles while filing quickly and aggressively. I mention this because the tech that was working on my friend sitting next to me actually did cut my friend's finger while filing her nails. Everyone seemed like they were in such a hurry, which they were to move through as many people as possible. The nails themselves looked nice when they were done, however, the dip cracked within 24 hours. I also thought the cuticle work wasn't very clean. The tips also were not flush so they were lifting and I had issues with stuff getting stuck underneath them. Plus they were so thick too. I had considered going back to get them fixed but I honestly did not want to go back after my first experience. Upon removing the dip a few weeks later, I discovered pretty significant rings of fire on my nails. They're very deeply ridged too from the overfiling, so I would recommend the salon spend time on training proper e-file use and to slow down while filing so as to not injure customer's nails. This is extremely frustrating after spending $80 on my nails too. read more

I wanted to like this nail salon because a co-worker gets her nails done here and they usually look good but, oof, I'm not going back. Asked for a short to medium coffin shape gel x set and my nail tech was nice, she just maybe needs more training on application. I didn't get to inspect as closely as I should have (lesson learned!) because it was on my lunch break, but was surprised when I did finally start moving my hands around and looking at them closer. I ended up taking them off myself by day two because the left pinky wasn't fully covered and all of the nails were pointing upwards from too much gel. I couldn't stand looking at them anymore. For $80, plus tip, it was not worth it at all. If you do decide to get your nails done here, good luck. One upside is that it's nearby some cool breweries and distilleries. read more

To start everyone here is very nice and I never have a problem making appointments. The shape of my nails were also consistently uniform and just the way I like it. This is purely a review on acrylics. I have been getting acrylic nails for the past 15 years and have never had any issues other than occasional premature lifting. I just moved to Colorado and was devastated after leaving my long-term nail tech. Gave this place a try because it looked nice, and had good review. It was a tad pricey but I am willing to pay for good quality. Unfortunately, the quality and skill of these manicurists is not up to par. After going to them 5 times, twice for new sets and 3 times for refill I can say the acrylic time frame is 2-3 weeks if I am lucky without lifting. This most recent time my manicurist did not properly take care of a lifting nail and put acrylic right on top after she knew I washed my nails. I had mentioned to her it was lifting and she said she took care of it, well she didn't and in turn when I came back it gave me nail fungus. As I have been getting my nails done for over 15 years, I know this was completely preventable and happened because this individual was not well versed with acrylics. I did not change any habit, and this have never happened to before. Sad to say I will not be coming back and only recommend if you are getting a basic manicure. Overall 2/5 read more

With in two weeks three broken nails and every single one of them the nail polishes came off within the first week and a half. .. Save your money. It's been almost 3 years since I wrote a review for RiNo Nail Bar, so I think it's time for an update. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, but just don't go during happy hour when everyone is off work. I really never go anywhere else to get my nails done. I've tried to look for places closer to where I live now in Arvada, but it's constantly disappointing. It's easier and more reassuring to walk into RiNo Nail Bar or use Facebook Messenger to book an appointment. They do such a high quality job with the dip manicure and gel pedicure I always get. Wanted to love this salon, as it's in my neighborhood, but received a poor experience and severely damaged nails. I booked well in advance for a builder gel. Salon was busy on a Sunday, and my tech kept switching from me to another client without washing hands or wearing/switching gloves, which is not sanitary or up to code, I'm sure. Service also took almost 90 min due to this. Nails looked decent, not great, but started fully lifting and popping off in 4 days. Ended up just having them removed at another salon with just a buff/manicure, and after removing, I had SUPER deep rings of fire that were very painful. It's been a few weeks of grow out and my nails are so thin and damaged that they just peel off as soon as they grow past the nail plate. Will add I hadn't had a nail service is 9 months before this and had fully natural (short) nails. Wild that after one service my nails got completely wrecked by this tech. Will add I did reach out to the salon to let them know, and got an apology and request to give them another try, but had such a poor experience I'd never let them touch my nails again. read more

If I was stuffed into a poorly ventilated manicure assembly line like a sardine and forced to do walk-in after walk-in, I'd try to get away with doing a half-a*sed job too. Nail shape and length by Jessi. I recommend Jessi. Polish was put on by another nail tech. Love the shape, length and color. The polish was poorly done unfortunately, it's spotty. I chose a matte top coat. Some areas are still shiny. At the end of my service lotion was put on my hands and then wiped with a warm towel. It was nice but I didn't catch the imperfections because of the moisture from the lotion and warm towel. read more

Check it out... I made an appointment a few months back at Rino Nail Bar instead of going to Snappy Nails off W. 38th. I went twice and both times I had Phoenix work on my nails and toes. She was amazing and was able to execute exactly what I wanted. When I used to go to Snappy they would always use acrylic to achieve what I wanted, but Phoenix was able to do that with dip powder (which is better for your nails) AND her work would last almost 4 weeks! I wish I would have found her sooner, but I had to relocate to Charlotte in August unexpectedly, once my partner and I decided to move back down south to be closer to family. I would definitely reccomend her! She also does individual lashes as well, so be sure to inquire about that as well. I would recommend making an appointment. Rino Nail Bar gets busy! read more

I wanted to like this place as it's so close to me, but unfortunately every time I've been it's been absolutely chaotic and it's always a toss-up with how good my dip comes out depending on the nail tech. I usually make a reservation a few days before my appointment and still end up having to wait 15-20 minutes when I get there and check in because I don't think they have any system to manage their scheduled appointments vs walk in. I've had a few good technicians where my dip has lasted over a month with very few chips if any, but also had technicians who have filed down my nail too deep leaving a crease in my nail, or dip applied so thick it chips within a couple weeks. Also I find their seats extremely uncomfortable, it's like a fluffy bar height seat that is impossible to relax in. If you must go, I definitely recommend you try to get one of the girls to be your nail tech as they are a lot more careful and detailed. Also never go on a weekend unless you thrive in chaotic environments. read more

I have come here before and have loved my nails. Today was the first time I was honestly disappointed and seriously frustrated. I knew my nails were not going to be perfect as I chipped one and just got dip removed. I asked for a nude or light pink nail polish - Just a regular manicure. What I saw saw as my final product was horrid. I told the man at the register that I was not satisfied, in fact, hated them. And he proceeded to tell me they would fix them, but along the way told me "bubble bath (color) needs 3 coats and you got two"(ok?!?! Why didn't they do 3 coats then?) and then said they'd fix them and my total was $45. I was shocked, no discount? So he gave me a discount and my total was $43. Lol. Then 2 other workers started saying I shouldnt have picked a light color (I understand but why didn't anyone mention that in the first place?) even though I said it was the technique I hated as well. Anywho, I got them fixed but am just so dissatisfied with the whole experience. Some of the nail artists do fabulous jobs. However, I do think that for the price - nails should look expert level. Perhaps a refresher for the nail artists here would be beneficial. Maybe updated techniques and updated colors? Something to think about before going! read more

My experience was awful. To start, I think I am getting engaged this weekend and I wanted to have beautiful nails for my engagement photos. I went with my best friend and I had one of the guys. It took over 2 hours for colored French tips on dip. Instead of getting the clean French tips I requested, I got the nails pictured below. I was cut multiple times, the color is inconsistent, and the nails are unnecessarily thick. The nails were 100$ and they look terrible. I am so sad that my exciting weekend turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. For reference, I asked for the nailed pictured in the Pinterest post, and the results of my two hour experience here are pictured next. Update: I noticed that he also got blue nail polish on my skirt that I just bought Update: we went back and two women redid my nails. They look significantly better than the first time. And they managed to file and fix them without cutting me more. I really do appreciate the two that took their time to fix them. With this being said, this whole ordeal took 6 hours of my day and was more stressful than it was relaxing. I think with the right nail artist it could've been worth it but also that was a lot of money for a stressful day. And the cuts still hurt. read more

I've been here several times and I've always liked my nails when I've had them done here regardless of the technician so you can always feel good about whoever does your nails. This place is always packed so make sure you make an appt. I think my only issue with this place is the ambiance of it all. I just don't feel like I can relax here. There's no music, the tv is usually on a tennis or golf station and there aren't any beverages offered during your service. My nail day is my day to relax so I'm going to continue on looking for a nail salon with that ambiance. But if you want a nail salon that will do a great job then I recommend this place 08/21 I got a message from the salon owner and felt that it is in the best interest of future clients to see the interaction. I'm incredibly upset at how this was handled and how the owner even accused me of not being an actual client, unethical, etc for that reason I am now changing my 3 star review to a 1 star. I came in for a full set, They said they could take us and then we waited 45 minutes for the service. When doing my nails they were extremely rushed so the mails themselves were extremely uneven and bumpy. The line work was messy and rushed. There was a lot of initial confusion about who would do my ReBase almost 30 minutes after I checked in at the salon. I know it was a Saturday and it was busy so I understood. Honestly I got my nails done here long ago and they did a great job on shellac. The last three times I have went it's been rushed, my clear coat pulls on the top layer creating little uneven circles, AND my shellac has chipped extremely fast. The last time my shellac chipped on day two. Also my nails weren't filed well they were left jagged on the tips. Not a thorough manicure at all. Not very friendly either. I've been looking for a a nail spot upon moving to Denver and this place had great reviews so I went to try before my event this weekend. I scheduled my appointment with the owner Richard over Yelp who is so responsive and helpful. My nails look SO good. Justin is amazing and I will be going back to him every time I go now. He made my fugly nails look so pretty and clean. 10/10 never going anywhere else lol Everyone in there is so nice and fun and it's in a great area.
