Trea hermanas enchiladas

Rio Grande didn't wow me and at the same time I enjoyed it, so this is a bit of a wishy washy review to write. Our meals were pretty standard for Mexican restaurant fare, though hubby thought the green sauce was a bit sour. My black beans were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Definitely my favorite thing! But what really stood out was the young man who waited on us. He was happy and kind, attentive but didn't hover. Great service!

We tried the newest dine-in Mexican restaurant & decided it's the best sit-down Mexican restaurant in town! The salsa served with the complimentary chips needs to be bottled & sold! It is fresh & full-bodied, yet mild, and has almost a chunky but pulverized texture. We couldn't get enough of this salsa! We ordered the Enchiladas Verdes & it was delicious! Our waiter was very attentive & friendly! The restaurant is clean & colorful! The portions are large & competitively priced! We think this is the most "authentic" sit-down Mexican restaurant in town!

Best Mexican food in the state AT LEAST. Incredible service. A bit pricey but I'd pay more.

Excellent food and service. My favorite place to eat in The Dalles. Their steak burrito is a must try.

It's a small family run restaurant as we met the mother and an aunt who was there for dinner with friends.

Wow Great place , clean and very comfortable atmosphere!!…read more I had seasoned ground beef enchiladas and my wife had the Colorado beef burrito. I do wish they wouldn't charge $2.50 for a very small thing of diced onions ( I think enchiladas should come with lettuce, tomatoes and onions on top) Service was also outstanding!! The margaritas blow ixtapa away( ixtapa puts very little tequila in their Rita's) I would highly recommend this over any Mexican restaurant in Hood River

My carne asada was overcooked, dry, and overpriced. It should be cooked medium rare to medium, but it came out well done, and I couldn't finish it. I was really disappointed, especially since the last time I came here (about 7 years ago), it was my favorite dish. Clearly, you went from an experienced chef to a very inexperienced cook. It's very unfortunate because the poor quality reflects your business, and I am not the only one noticing that. Your change to save a few dollars is going to hurt your reputation. I hope you go back to using experienced chefs and stop hiring amateur cooks who don't know what they're doing. Our total came to $60, or $75 with tip, and honestly, the experience wasn't worth it. I expected better and likely won't be back unless it's a last option, since The Dalles tends to close early on weekends.

I've been here twice now & had carne asada sopes both times, and they were soooo good…read more I found this place by accident. I was actually looking for a different taqueria in a different food cart mall, which I ended up finding a few weeks later. (But, for the record, Loncheria Jalisco is actually better than the other place, anyway.) Loncheria Jalisco is at 6th Street Station, which is an extremely small food cart mall with only about six pods. Most of the pods are closed most of the time, so most of the people eating here are coming for one specific cart. There is a very small central brick and mortar building with indoor seating which sells drinks and alcohol. I haven't personally been inside the building, but it looks a lot well better insulated than some of the others I've seen. It actually looks like a converted Wendy's. The first time I came here, I just ordered one sope. The second time, I ordered two. The sopes are a bit on the small side, but so is the price, at only $4. On top of the shell, they come with beans, meat, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, avocado sauce (more like blended avocado/lime/cilantro than guacamole), cheese, and more salsa (on the side). Even though the guacamole was not quite guacamole, the flavor was fire. It was actually the perfect consistency for the sope. Once I added the tomatillo salsa, the flavors exploded. I had salsa dripping all over my hands, and didn't even care. It was so good. The cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream were all super fresh. The beans and meat were done right. While this wasn't the most impressive carne asada I've ever had, it was pretty decent for a fast food truck. These sopes were as good as I would expect to find from a food truck in Sacramento. Based on reputation, I didn't expect there to be much great Mexican food in Oregon, but I've been proven wrong. Prices are very reasonable-- maybe too reasonable. I wouldn't be surprised if they go up a little bit. I love this place and would definitely come back again. I'm hoping to try their fajita burrito one of these days, if I can get there before they sell out. (Last time, they had sold out by 3!)

If you need Mexican food in Hood river Oregon this is the hot spot!…read more Stick to the basics enchiladas and beans and rice. The seafood campechana was ok for me. I'm a picky seafood eater the cocktail has no flavor and needed salt. I added ketchup tapatío and salt to make it happen. Wow I went out to let them know that when I arrive there, I got a menu that was full of salsa all over it. No worries at all the fine waitress wiped it off with a napkin and said here you go. I simply said that's not sanitary apparently my needs are greater than they can handle. I thought we had health codes here in the United States Make no mistake.
