I have 2 pets who shed a lot of hair, so we've gotten our fans cleaned multiple times. The other day someone actually asked me if I was using a brand new computer after the fans/ keyboard/screen was cleaned at Computech. Service is always super fast and thorough. I don't know anything about computers, including my own laptop and these guys will never make you feel silly (As a woman, going into other tech shops, this is a common issue for me). Earlier this year, when my boyfriend was getting his computer "checked up", the tech noticed signs that the fans were close to dying - Computech got into contact with us and offered to order and install the fans. They were extremely transparent about the cost of the fans and labor, making it clear that they were providing service at an extremely reasonable price. We will go back to these guys time and time again because of their friendly, fast, and well priced services.

It's been that way for roughly 20 years...even before REVO started as a spin-off from "Software & More" there in Holliday. The PC consultant there from Software & More, Jerry, who helped build us our first custom desktop back in the early 2000s started his own company in Cottonwood Heights called REVO Technologies when S&M went out of business. We purchased our second gaming/workstation "Stryker" desktop from him eight years ago...AND a 17" "Falcon" gaming desktop as well for my personal use. Despite a few glitches/bugs here and there, both of these last two PCs have been performing admirably...as we've continued to patronize REVO for upgrades, repair, and tuning. The most recent purchase last week was for my wife's "Stryker" desktop which needed some Win10 tweaks due to some mistakes I made last spring with User Account Control and administrative privileges... oops. I dropped the desktop off with Chris - the repair tech - on Monday last week and by late afternoon he had it finished, updated, cleaned, and working like a top! I paid for the diagnostics/repair ($70) and the tuning/cleaning service ($70) which eliminated all of the nasty dust that had collected on the inside of the tower case. Yuk...but money well spent! We got it back home and the new Canon MF753Cdw color Laserjet All-in-One printer drivers installed perfectly. My wife is back in business! Woo-hoo. If you are a customer needing repairs, run far away from PC Laptops. The entire operation is a…read moremasterclass in toxicity, incompetence, and consumer fraud, enabled by upper management -- specifically Bryan, who oversees the store managers and allows this to happen company-wide. The core of the problem is a lead sales associate, Baron. He will take customers' computers, leave them with no service notes or labels, and let them sit for months. When customers call to check the status, nobody can find the machine. Instead of letting technicians actually diagnose the hardware, he tells customers it's irreparably broken so he can push them toward a new system at a huge premium. A favorite tactic is telling people with perfectly functional older computers that "AI is trying to integrate with your system" and that's supposedly why it's slow -- an explanation that isn't real, and one bench technicians have had to walk back with customers directly. He also has a habit of telling customers to come in so he can "help" them, overpromising on what can be done, then disappearing to the back so other staff are left dealing with the frustrated customer. Bryan, the upper manager, protects this behavior rather than addressing it -- including retaliating against a former technician who left in good standing after raising legitimate complaints about Baron's conduct (something corporate later acknowledged was wrong). Do not trust this company with your data, your hardware, or your money. There are plenty of honest repair shops in the valley -- PC Laptops isn't one of them.
