I just wish we had more time to explore! Ripley's Believe It or Not! Hollywood is packed with so many interesting facts and interactive exhibits--you could easily spend hours here. We brought a group of 12 eleven-year-olds for my daughter's birthday, and they were completely entertained the whole time. Huge shoutout to Will and Pete--they were amazing and so accommodating with our large group, which made everything run smoothly. As an LA native, I'm so glad I finally got to visit this iconic spot. I thought it was a lot of fun! If you live in Los Angeles and have never been to these "touristy" spots in Hollywood, you're missing out. There were things I didn't get pictures of, but there is a lot notable items here concerning Hollywood's history which I thought was cool. We were in a hurry this night but I recommend making a day of this iconic Ripley's and the nearby museums on Hollywood Boulevard. It cost me a little over $50 for two tickets, I'm not sure how much it'll cost by the time you visit. read more

I recently visited with my hubby & my younger brother & let me just say we loved the experience. I agree with other reviews that say it takes about 90 minutes give or take to visit the entire exhibitions but worth it! Personally I like odd things and the collection Ripley's has is truly odd, but there's an array of items here. I really loved the collection of Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. Ripley's believe it or not was worth checking out. I haven't been on Hollywood blvd in LA since my early 20's. It was a lot cleaner than I remember it being then. I love the food and the energy of this city. Since we were wandering the wax museums, we decided to checkout Ripleys. I've always been a fan since I was a young girl, so we decided to spend our time there before our next appointment. My family and I spent about an hour and a half give or take to see everything. My daughter was mesmerized by the Marilyn Monroe showcase and her dress. We had a blast playing on their musical stairs and in between every showcase. Combining entrance for Ripleys with the wax museums saves you money. We enjoyed it and would recommend it. If you're off Hollywood blvd and looking for stuff to do check out Ripleys. read more

My visit with my family to Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum was Enjoyable. I can relate to prior visits and this visit yesterday. I CAN'T SAY that everything in the museum is entirely Enjoyable as always maybe as Was... My family was warmly welcomed as we entered the lobby of the museum by two laid back Hosts. We were given the privilege take our time to explore and take in the museum at our own pace while the museum wasn't congested with a lot of visiting guests yet. I enjoyed a lot of the hand made art displays of the Celebrities, some of the unique abilities of some people who ever existed before me, and some of the scientific inventions that were created ions ago by artist with talented infinite unique imaginations. It gave me great pleasure to walk on and play on the electric motion staircase piano. "I felt like Tom Hanks in the movie BIG of 1988." I enjoyed learning and taking in culture that I hope remains infinite and other people continue to appreciate and enjoy great art like I am privileged and blessed to be able to bestow upon. The museum could be expanded more and updated on certain displays. "Believe It or Not!...their bathrooms were really clean..." This is a really fun museum with all kinds of different displays and interactive exhibits. We took my son to see the star wars figures which were really fun. They also have an interactive video room where you can watch yourself move in different fun ways. If you have a kiddo with sensory issues would recommend bringing or renting headphones for some of the rooms. It's also immaculately clean and the people who work there are really nice. read more

Ripley's is a bit of a rip off! $25 believe it or not?! Even with the $7 discount on Groupon it's just not worth the entrance fee. The attractions would have been interesting 20 years ago but since the advent of CGI, projection mapping and AI, this type of exhibit just needs to be better to hold its own. Nothing against analogue but to compete it needs to be quality. And the stuff in this dingy museum is just too random and second rate to be interesting or of value. Kids don't get the references, even to Terminator or Dean Cain's Superman. The Star Wars room has a small wooden lightsaber made by a fan and a video of someone playing John Williams music on the piano. And anyway, why is Star Wars in there anyway? Nothing seems directly connected to Ripley so the narrative arc is broken. Staff are excellent but can't help thinking they are a little embarrassed about what's behind the curtain. The best thing there is a piece of the Berlin Wall, but it's not on public display. ‍ Save your money and go the the California Science Centre which is free and authentic. Or the Academy Museum which is the same price as Ripley's and a proper museum. read more

I'm going with five stars because this great little museum was the best Ripleys museum I've been to and did a wonderful job on all exhibits! This was my favorite of the museums that I visited while in West Hollywood. I'll admit I am a Ripley's believe it or not fan! But this museum earned its five stars on its own! Some of the things you'll see here is a life like statue of the worlds, biggest man! It blew me away. It was like looking at a giant. Another incredible exhibit was on how headhunters used to shrink human skulls. Look where else are you going to find something like this out? I don't want to get anyone too grossed out, but it was one of the coolest exhibits I've seen in many many years! Also, I didn't realize that Ripley searched the world for exotic treasures and facts. There are so many wood carvings and masks in here from all corners of the world! It felt like I was walking through an Indiana Jones movie set! Truly, breathtaking and amazing! And everywhere you went there were lots of great amazing facts! I strongly recommend buying the combination ticket with the Hollywood wax Museum. It's only a few extra dollars and both museums in my opinion were first class! Well, not large, both of them were big enough to give you a nice flavor of what they were showing and small enough to manage if going through there with a family. I would do both of them one after another. Both could be done quickly or you could spend hours in there depending on your liking. Highly recommended to visit one day while staying in Hollywood. It's located right on the Hollywood walk of fame across the street from the Chinese theater area at the intersection! read more

I don't know how I fully feel about this one. There were definitely a few cool things to see, but a lot of the exhibits felt a little dated. My kid was locked in for maybe half of it -- the other half? He was giving full "are we done yet?" energy. This place leans heavy on reading and patience, so just know what kind of mood your kid needs to be in before walking through. If you've got a curious one with questions and time, it might hit different. If not... bring snacks and hope for the best. The stair piano was the highlight -- that had him hyped like he was in Big with Tom Hanks. It gave us a needed second wind. Staff was super friendly and explained everything before we even stepped in, which we appreciated. Heads up: if you buy the combo package, don't lose the paper -- you'll need it to get into the next spot, and they don't really make that clear. It's giving: history museum meets funhouse... but you might need a coffee first. Cool to see once, but I wouldn't run it back without older kids or more time. read more

I like weird things & since I was a kid I always enjoyed watching the show and reading the books when they came out. I know there isn't really a ton of room for this location to expand, but it would be nice if they could either update their current displays or expand the location to include more. As others have mentioned unless you stop to read every plaque & watch any short clips they might have playing then you can get through the museum in a short amount of time which makes the price of admission kind of expensive especially for families. My husband & I stopped here back in 2018 just the two of us & we just visited again last month with our kids + my parents and the only two things that changes was they included Kim K. & the part where you could re-wind footage of the area with the tongue twister area was gone. Some people are into what would be considered the "older" displays such as Marilyn Monroe & I know they are in Hollywood but it would be nice if they could change some of their areas to include more of the newer Believe it or not stories & people. Having an entire room for Marilyn & a large section just for superman felt kind of meh knowing some of the more exciting features in their books & show episodes. For the novelty, it takes about 90 minutes to go thru the museum. Lots of reading, any interactions are via machines that needs to have coins in them. Our tweens found it interesting with the facts and figures. read more

Nice museum right on Hollywood Blvd. They have a combo ticket with the Hollywood Wax Museum across the street if you're looking have more time. They have interesting exhibits here and it's nice for the whole family. Younger and older kids will like reading the interesting facts and they have some interactive exhibits. It's nice but not as big as other Ripley's Museums I have been to (the Ripley's Museum near Niagara Falls, Canada was bigger and more interesting). We liked the Guinness Book of World Records Museum more but this is nice to do if you have time, but if you had to choose, the Guinness World Records Museum on Hollywood Blvd is better. read more

The first time I went to this location I was a kid, but I have very fond memories of being here with family and can remember most of the exhibit. I just went again with my family today and it feels like the whole exhibit was shrunk down and there was way less rooms. There used to be a whole section about medieval torture, but now there's a separate museum for it which is why I'm assuming the exhibit had changed. It's a little pricey for how much you get to see. Went to Ripley's Believe It Or Not today (Friday) after seeing a sign the day before advertising a weekly discounted entry price, when the worker told us the price I queried the week day price and he said "no it's Friday today" last time I checked Friday was a week day, anyway we paid full price and went in, it was ok, although the majority of the interactive things once in there require payment as well. We have also been to the one in the Gold Coast, Australia which was much better and the interactive activities were included in the entry. Ok to kill a bit of time but nothing special. read more

The largest one is in London, but there is also a small department in Los Angeles, which is where I went. The Ripley Museum in Los Angeles is a young museum with a collection of 300 items. The building is located in Hollywood on the Walk of Fame and has two floors with 11 small halls. Among the exhibits you can see the largest man in the world, a 4,000-year-old mummy's leg , animals with two heads and various mutants, a a set for killing vampires in Eastern Europe and so on. At the end you can see the original dress worn by Marilyn Monroe and which is now worth millions. We did the double ticket pass for here and the wax museum. For what we saw and how small the attraction was, I feel it was way over priced. We are a family of 4 and our total was $183 and some change. Some of the things in there were broken. Which for how expensive this place is they should easily be able to fix it. Came here this afternoon. The tickets are quite expensive considered them place is so small (25 dollars per adult and kids 5 and under are free), but figured they were close for a while and sure needed it to survive and we don't want to see this fun place go! The place didn't have many new exhibits, pretty much the same things as I saw many years ago, but my 6-year-old had never been, and now she hits the perfect age to understand this museum and I think that's great to get out to do something safely and support the business. read more

This Ripley's has been around for a while now, its entertainment value has always been amazing. When people visit Hollywood they come for the walk of fame or even the Graumans Chinese theatre however I will always recommend Ripley's. There is a lot inside that's captivating and entertaining. Each room has something of intertest and there is so much to learn about specific items or artifacts. I'm not sure how often they switch things up but they definitely do. The entire walkthrough took us about a little over an hour. We went on a Friday night and there wasn't that much crowd. Super friendly staff. read more

I loved reading Ripley's Believe It or Not! books when I was a kid, so I was really excited for this museum! Came here with the discounted ticket for all 3 museums (this, the Hollywood Wax Museum, and the Guinness museum). I'd say this is my 2nd favorite of the three. The exhibits are interesting, a little creepy, and some of the exhibits are a little old and dusty. There will definitely be things that shock and surprise you. Definitely a place for kids, but there are interesting things for anyone at any age. Also great for tourists. Loved the little surprise at the end also, LOL. They also have other rock stars & famous actors & celebrities memorabilia too. The most expensive dress in the world Marilyn Monroe's JFK's birthday dress that's sold for 4.8 million is here for a limited time! This is the same dress that Kim Kardashian wore at the Met Gala. They have the Marilyn dress in a glass case & you can see it up close from every angle.
