Been smogging here for years and I've never been disappointed. They are helpful, fair, and fast.

I have been to this location several times and they were closed during their normal business hours. I called later in the day and a lady answered and said they were open so I went right over. Upon filling out the paperwork I noticed the price was higher than what was on their website. I mentioned this to the lady at the counter and she claimed in order to get the advertised price, the customer has to mention it. What? Seems like a shady business practice to me. All in all the staff was nice enough and they got the job done. Just annoying that I had to make several trips to see if they were open and the price discrepancy was concerning as well. I came in to get my license plate replaced, I put it off for a bit because I didn't want to deal with the DMV. I saw an ad that they do replacements for license plates and tags so I was reprieved I wouldn't have to go to the DMV. The whole process took about 15 minutes, 10 minutes waiting in the lobby which I expected because I didn't make an appointment and then another five to get my new plates. I was amazed at how fast I got my plates and tags, I can't believe I put it off for so long. Also it was very affordable. I know where I'm going to get my car smoged next year! read more

I meant to update sooner... I was contacted by Edward at Ripon Smog apologizing for the hole in their service. He advised they had added a bell system to help fix the issue. He also offered a free smog for the opportunity to make amends. I took the offer and was glad I did. I was able to use the new bell service and was assisted quickly. It put some faith back into their service. They took the time to apologize, work on the issue and try to make good. That is good customer service in my eyes. read more

Been bringing my cars here for a few years and never had an issue until today. Apparently there is a new owner now and he does NOT honor the coupon that is on their website. He was super rude when I brought up the coupon and said "Well I'm the new owner now, and I need to update the website." Ok.. He ended up rolling his eyes and saying "I'll give it to you for $35." Which is fair, but still not the $24.99 that is online or on the coupons we would get in the mail. I understand prices go up sometimes, but not updating a website sounds like their problem, not mine. read more

Wow, why couldn't all my prior smog tests have been so quick and painless? I got my wife's car smogged last week. The ENTIRE appointment took less time at Ripon Smog than it has taken me to get just paperwork filled out at prior smog testing facilities. What a joy. I handed them my keys and smog paperwork, sat down to do some work on my tablet, and then I hear, "You're all done." I couldn't believe it. Highly recommend them! Hubby took car in cause Ripon Auto no longer does smogs, and he wasn't that impressed. Their website says that they also do registration and renewals, but the guy who was there said they didn't. Don't know if they really don't or if this guy just didn't want to do it.
