I'm not very trusting, and I've seen plenty of reviews of smog testing companies that take a coupon and forget that you gave it to them, apparently, in order to charge you full price. Whether this is the truth or not, I have no way to confirm what others have said. That's why I came here. They seem a straightforward business and that's quite a bit better: one price, no funny business. You enter from the alley behind Main Street. Two of us arrived at the same time and they were quick to take care of both of us. My car is a 2012 I bought as a demonstrator in early 2013. There shouldn't be much of a problem. Even though it's a diesel-powered car, the rules have changed and the state requires smog testing. In any case, after they finished with the other person's truck, they put my car in the bay and checked it thoroughly. They found no problem, and created the form, as well as transmitting the results to the state. They were friendly and efficient. read more

Have been using this place for years. After being ripped off by the other smog places in town who when you have a coupon still charge you double because its and SUV. This place does not do that to you. You have a coupon that is the price no funny businesd add-ons or excuses. Only place i will ever use again. read more

Shame on you for labeling anyone Jason D, especially with a label like "trailer trash". As far as my personal experience - I can't think of a reason why I would go anywhere else! Small shop but these are very friendly and welcoming people. Excellent customer service, competitive pricing, local business (not a franchise), and the fastest smog I have ever received. They have me wondering why every other shop I've been to takes more than 30 minutes. Thank you guys for the excellent service! I will definitely be back! read more

This is a family run business run by great local folks. They have great customer service, you can probably find a coupon in the local paper, and they can get you in and out fairly quick. They take appointments and walk ins, FYI. Give Tinnin's a call, you won't be disappointed. read more

Took my tuck in to have it tested , on the visual failed me on things that where there that he said were missing, but was not knowledgeable to inform me that the catalytic converter I had on my truck was not up to code according to the new CA smog laws, he passed the wrong catalytic converter and failed me on thing's that where ok. after the test would not help in any way with what are why it failed ,but went on about some paranoia about State smog spys . I found Tinnin's 1A Quick Smog to very unprofessional and extremely un knowledgeable. if you have an older tuck take it some where more qualified. I lost $50 taking it to this shop in the first place read more

I had a coupon and went to Tinnin's 1A. Looked online for their hours and started reading the yelp reviews. Got there as they had just opened their business. I saw a coupon in the penny saver and decided to call and see if I needed to schedule an appointment. No appointment was necessary however if you do make an appointment you get service before the walk ins. I got there and they were very friendly and the smog test was done before I knew it! I would definitely recommend anyone that is in need of a smog test to get it done here because of the friendly and fast service!! read more

1 A Quick Smog was established in 2004 as a Smog Test Only Station, serving the people of Manteca. We currently are not a 'STAR Certified' station. We do smog check for all cars, trucks, and vans. We are equipped with the best testing machines, and have an amazing technician for the best service in town. Appointments are not necessary, but we strive to take care of our customers in a swift fashion.

I have lived in Manteca for over 40 years. My boyfriend and I took over this business from the Tinnin's April 2018. They are not only friends but family too. With that being said we tried not to change a thing with the business, and aim high to make sure that future and past customers are happy.

I've dealt with Monkey's for years, having had them service and repair the two Class A RVs I've…read moreowned. I've had over a dozen lube, oil, filter services. The repairs included a damaged exhaust system from road debris, a leaky transmission seal, an air conditioner compressor replacement, battery replacement, and a leaky rear end seal. I have yet to be unhappy with their service. Monkeys is very well equipped to service and repair RVs with their huge service area and their RV lift which is big enough for even the large Class A coaches. They limit their business to gas engines and do not service diesels. They repair chassis issues, but do not repair house related issues such as leveling jacks or other rv house components. They are an authorized smog station and I've had several smog certifications done by them. I have seen government agency vehicles at Monkeys, and I presume that such customers speak well of the shop and its abilities. I have no idea how those one star ratings can be justified. The three one star reviewers have a total of seven review among them, and that often means sour grapes. Some folks can't accept bad news about their car repair and because of their frustration, simply want to shoot the messenger. The one star review that advertises another repair shop is highly suspect on its face. Such reviews ought not be allowed. So... from years of experience with them, I highly recommend Monkey's.

They fount that the driveshaft carrier bearing was bad. Also all brake rotors are bad. BS. Took it to a legit shop. One rotor is bad. Also monkeys used spray foam to seal the roof vent. It is not waterpproof and will need to be taken apart and have the spray foam removed and replaced with a proper sealant. That was $200 down the drain. They told me for all the repairs that my unit needed would be around $4000. And they couldn't even handle a simple roof vent replacement? At one time this shop had a great reputation. The new owners seem to have no clue about what they're doing. I would avoid them and will never go back to their shop.
