The weed I've tried is good but this places pricing sucks. Specifically the difference beteeen medical menu and recreational menu. Basically you get fucked being recreational with higher prices, lower quantity and way way less selection. They see rec users as second or third class citizens. You also get no sales as rec. so you pay $50 for the same 8th a med patient will get for 30 with a sale. Rec is also limited to 1/8 oz packages. So no ounce jars at a cheaper per 1/8th price like med customers. Stick with your local drug dealer. I'll keep doing my bi monthly Michigan runs. Well worth the 4 hr drive each way, especially after seeing how this place treat recreational users. In reality this is a review of the MN legalization than anything else. If I could I would leave this aids infested state asap. read more

The biggest issue here is pricing and markups. Before you even get to taxes, the base prices are already inflated, easily 20-40% higher than comparable products in other legal states. That wouldn't sting as much if the experience were fast or convenient, but it isn't. Even with a small line (about five people ahead of me), the process moves slowly. Expect 30+ minutes inside. What really stood out is that this was at 2:30 on a Tuesday, not peak hours, yet the store was already very busy. On top of that, the product selection is limited. There aren't many strain options, and most categories feel thin, which makes the high prices harder to justify. Taxes are brutal, not RISE's fault, but when you're paying nearly $20 in tax on an $80 item, those inflated base prices become impossible to ignore. Parking exists but is tight and fills quickly, adding to the congestion during an already slow visit. If this is your first dispensary experience, it may seem polished. If you've been to dispensaries in more established legal states, the pricing, selection, and efficiency here will feel out of step. The shop also feels like suburban, corporate, "errands-with-the-kids" energy. If you want the "DMV" experience at a 20% premium - this is the place for you. At least the DMV doesn't have tip jars out for literally NO REASON then scold you on method of payment impatiently after it was YOU that just stood in a line for 30 minutes. "Sorry - the ATM is back there , then you can get back in line". I gave them FOUR tries and just stopped going. Green Goddess is just down the freeway and so much nicer in pretty much all ways. read more

I travel for work 365 days a year. I've been to countless dispensaries all over the country. I stopped by this dispensary hoping for a good experience, but it was honestly incredibly disappointing from the start. Once I approached the counter I was informed I had to select my inventory from a touch screen kiosk across the business, which means if I still had any questions I'd have to speak loudly over the entirety of the business or wait again and hope someone isn't assisting a customer with checkout to come around the counter and answer the questions regarding the items available on the kiosk. The employee I spoke to didn't seem educated on the inventory at all couldn't answer basic questions about their pricing. It felt as if she was just guessing instead of actually knowing their products. On top of that, the prices were outrageously high for what they offered. This was easily one of the worst value experiences I've seen. After realizing how overpriced everything was and how unhelpful the staff were, I decided to leave without buying anything. (This is the only dispensary I've ever been to that offered "300mg" disposables. Priced at $30 and after taxes and fees came out to nearly $40. Less than a 1/3 of a gram for $40 is absolutely insane. After I spoke with them regarding their pricing, they informed me that "the Minnesota market is acclimating". That's the actual response I got once I asked about how can you possibly sell less than 1/3 of a gram disposable for $40. Their 1gm carts are priced at $80 after fees and taxes. I drove from Texas into the Minneapolis area and stopped at a dispensary in Kansas City. I left that place with 8 pre-rolls and 2 1gm carts and paid less than $80 after everything. I'm still in shock at the business they're running here) Save your time and money there are far better options out there that actually know their products and treat customers with respect. read more

This place use to be outstanding when it was just medical. The wait time, the convenience, the stock, all of it. Now that recreational is out it's gone so down hill. I understand there's bumps in the road with new laws but don't send out an email reassuring medical patients that "it won't affect them". Curbside takes at least 15-30 minutes every time. The parking lot is no where near big enough for the amount of business. It's been truly disappointing. *I do want to add that that staff has always been nothing but delightful. Been to many dispensaries all over a few different states and this was by far the worst one I've ever been too. Not only was the wait (rec line) sooo long there were two people working medicinal line and maybe 1/4 of the people in that line compared to rec line. Also their inventory is LOW. Not much to choose from, especially sativa. Also grabbed two accessory items and couldn't purchase one of them cause it was a coded as a medicinal accessory (battery pen...). Also drove to old location cause it's still listed on maps. Hopefully this place gets itself sorted out a little, I'm bummed I wasted a stop here. I will start with the good: The store is beautiful and well kept. The staff seem very friendly and knowledgeable if you have questions. I'm sure during slow periods and if you're willing to take your time the staff is awesome. They were very well staffed for the amount of demand in store, but unfortunately there's some issues therein. The bad, and why I'm writing this review: The efficiency is terrible. The wait time is extremely long even with a well staffed checkout counter. With some staff being so friendly, they'd rather be chatty than efficient, even when the wait line gets longer and longer. The person who checked me out had to get change for the drawer, so I waited for this. Then, after coming back, they realized they didn't have any 1s left in cash either, so I had to wait yet again for the drawer to be restocked. The fun thing is I paid with a card, but was told the card reader "Only takes orders of $5 increments" so I had to be refunded in cash for a debit payment. On top of this, there was a $2 extra charge to use debit, as only told to me by the machine at checkout and nowhere else. After waiting that long in line I just wanted to get my stuff and get out. The efficiency issue can likely be fixed by in store management. The terrible card reader situation, for a multi-state dispensary operation, seems very odd for how well done everything else is. I wanna start by saying this is definitely one of the nicest dispensaries I've been to when it comes to the building and cleanliness. The reason I really like this dispensary is because you can get a quality tested products, that for me personally do not hurt my lungs, and also give long lasting affects that feel good, compared to the on the corner with something that taste whack and gives a near undesirable effect. So for that reason, I love having this dispensary. My first issue is with the pricing. everything is already priced pretty expensive for what you're getting. (look at other states pricing..) And on top of that, there's a pretty egregious (state) tax that's added. Plus, a two dollar terminal fee that the cashier will not tell you about. But you'll see it, simply grabbing a product for $30 will turn into an extra $12 added after fees and tax. If the prices were a little bit cheaper or the quantity's for the price was a little bit better. I would be 100% satisfied with this distributor. read more

I'm extremely concerned. A couple years ago we got my young son a medical card for cannabis. We placed an order for gummies at the old location. They mixed up people and made the rx out for me, an adult. Following the dosage, I overdosed my child, noticed the mistake afterward. This new location, twice now, has made a very serious mistake with my MEDICAL order. I hope people are not working under the influence. First, I got an empty bag and someone else got, and left, with my order, which contained my private information. Now, although I kept saying the price is wrong, they brought me the wrong doses of THC!! Tinctures!!! This place is going to kill someone. No one is paying attention. They all think it's a big ol pot party!! I put in the comment section to bring out a dog treat for my furry friend. Then I asked for one. Never got it. A bunch of space cases that have no right distributing THC. The manager didn't even give me the correct change. A very dangerous game they are playing. The Eagan police officer I spoke with said none of it matters. It doesn't matter that I have a medical card and order off the medical menu. It doesn't matter what they do there. Who cares if they are potentially smoking pot in the back room. Nothing the police can do about any of it. It recreation so who cares if they are even putting the correct amount of thc in the tinctures I ordered. That's it. I'm done with thc. I asked, "What if I went through the pharmacy line at my grocery store and they gave my rx to the person in front or behind me?? What if they labeled rx incorrectly?". Cop said, "Well that's a different story.". There is no such thing as medical vs recreational. A very dangerous game being played out. Now I have stuff that I'm not sure I can trust and can't return it. I am returning to the store tomorrow to return whatever it is they put in these tincture bottles. Hi. I went to the store for help getting a medical card as I always expect trouble with online applications. Amy was very kind and helpful there but the whole process has been horrible and I've spent over three hours to complete it and still have more hoops to go through. The website froze on me after hitting the wrong button and immediately trying to back out. We had to restart the phone to complete it and I got double charged by the physician. I contacted her and was told she would only refund through PayPal after taking the money from my bank card. It is the only service I cannot use. She said sorry, that's that. I said thanks for your kindness, I'll inform the dispensary. She said she'd change me ten bucks for the refund. I accepted it as the cost of doing business with someone I should have read the fine print on and walked away if I had not been in a hurry. The state then rejected the photos of my drivers license so I had to repeat that process. Then I tried to sign in with one of the only two passwords I use. Both meeting their requirements. It refused to let me use my preferred one as my sign in so I used the second. When I tried to sign in today the state rejected both and locked me out after five attempts. There is no reset password option. I have to call the state tomorrow. Then there is the online visit you have to do every time. If I manage to get a new sign in. With writing this review it's been almost four hours of a painful process I have to pay extra along the way to complete. My experience has been horrible but after four hours I have to keep going. Make up your own mind if you want to share my experience getting a medical card. read more

This place is a shit show. Because it's cannabis they assume they don't have to provide decent service. ALWAYS a long wait., On a sale day expect to wait an hour or longer. Staff up, move to a bigger building, or get better management. Whatever it is going to take to provide a respectable business. I waited 2 hours while they had orders stacked on the floor and couldn't find orders, so you watch people come in and walk out while others waited the hour or longer. Buy a simple IKEA bookcase to put filled orders on, in order of arrival time. How difficult can that part be? I have had far more negative encounters than positive ones. The employees are friendly and helpful, but the place seems to be mismanaged to a disrespectful extent. No way this place survives the move to recreational, which is unfortunate as they are one of the original dispensaries. I get that they have an enormous amount of regulations to follow, but a lot of this stuff is simple management. 2 Hours is ridiculous. read more

I've been going to Rise, Egan MN for sometime now with spotty customer service, but I've been dealing with it. Finally I realized I'm not dealing with a dispensary but with the neighbourhood, thug dealer who happens to be licensed by the state. Last Saturday, Mar4th I called in to enquire about a spare part for a piece of paraphernalia I bought from them a couple months back $40. The glass stem sheared off and I needed a replacement part. After given me the run around, transferring from one person to another, they simply kept insisting that there's nothing they can help me with, and then I have to go somewhere else to find that piece. I explained this is a very specific piece, that's specific to the brand of the piece that they sold me and that I did not buy this from somewhere else. I bought it from them and that they need to at least help me figure out where to get one. The woman on the phone refused any of my logical appeals became very aggressive and abusive and ended up hanging up on me. I took my piece of paraphernalia into the store and asked them to change the broken piece, or help me figure out where to get another one since it's a very specific piece. They refused and insisted they can't help me. After an argument back-and-forth, the manager walked out, and immediately took her employee's side, not even knowing or wanting to understand what the background story is. At this point, all three ladies were yelling at me. A fourth joined later. I explain to them that I have PTSD and that you cannot treat your patience so poorly over a $5 piece of glass. Especially, after spending tens of thousands of dollars over the past year in their dispensary. The least you can do is help me figure out how to fix it, not just tell me go look for it in a smoke-shop. I explained I didn't buy it from a smoke-shop that I bought it from Rise, but none of that mattered to any of them. Eventually, the manager told me that she was going to help me out, but because of my attitude she's going to refuse to serve me. I reiterated to her that I am a PTSD patient and because of her and her staff's abuse now I was having a PTSD episode. She still didn't care and continued to tell me that she's not going to serve me. At which point, I completely broke down in a panic attack, became very emotional and suffered a full on PTSD flashback right in the middle of their lobby, while other patients walked in and out. I was humiliated, shocked, disturbed and simply could not believe that people with absolutely no training are in these positions and believe they have the authority to treat people with with absolute impunity. The first woman on the phone was in Highschool!!?? The manager had no customer service training let alone training of how to deal with patient for which they're supposedly providing medication. She would rather lose a customer worth tens of thousands of dollars in revenue then help him replace a $5 piece of glass...astonishingly short sighted. But then again what do expect from the neighbourhood pot dealer who only cares about short-term gains. Seeing me break down, the manager finally decided to throw me a bone and help me out. Again, I explained to her that I spend tens of thousands of dollars in their so called dispensary and that the least they can do is sell me another one. The manager agreed. She said would sell me a whole new piece of paraphernalia, because they don't have spare parts as they kept reiterating over and over. I waited for another 40 minutes, watching this manager go back and forth trying to understand what she's doing. Finally, she comes out to me and says "okay we're going to give you a new replacement piece after all. I asked her why they couldn't have done this from the start and avoided this lose/lose situation. With pure disgust on her face she said "sir you're lucky I'm serving you today, now you need to get out of here," I told her this will be the last time you see me, but then I would tell as many people as I could about what happened to me, in the hope it doesn't happen to them. Rise Cannabis has no business in treating sick people. They are simply a drug dealer, get out of the business before you get sued. Avoid Rise at all cost. You will save yourself a lot of trouble. read more
