My oldest daughter had a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a blue belt in Hopkido. One of my biggest fears starting there was being told we needed to forget everything we already knew. To my surprise, the exact opposite happened. They showed us how to maximize everything we had been taught. They also showed us how to use what we already knew in their system. The students and staff create a positive environment to learn in. When you walk in you'll be greated with a friendly smile by Ms. Irene. She'll answer any questions you may have and introduce you to either Tashi or Renshi. They'll bring you to the mat and most likely introduce you to someone they trust to help guide you through your first class. Unlike other martial arts schools, they do not have students teaching classes. They teach all the classes. There may be other Professors or Coaches there to help, however either Tashi or Renshi will be on the mat teaching the entire time.
