It was a lot to take in and their was quite a crowd. The best thing we ordered was the cherry glazed this was Good. The worst was the Carmel with nuts. There was way too much cake and nuts. I really hardly tasted any Carmel. We got a 4 pack of pecan rolls and they were really just ok seemed to me to not have enough brown sugar all I tasted was bread nuts and butter. Rise 'n Roll Bakery is currently one of my favorite weekend treats! Their donuts & pastries are amazing. Not to mention they have multiple options for coffee! The staff is very friendly. I would recommend doing your research before going because the line is always decently long & you will definitely feel the pressure of being undecided once you hit the counter to order. This would be my only negative about the bakery, but as the owner, it's a good thing to always be busy. Another tip, make sure you check their hours of operation. I am always craving donuts on a Sunday, so it's helpful to remember they are not open on Sundays. The donuts are usually good a day or two afterwards, too. Rise 'n Roll Bakery is also very active on social media! I recently won a giveaway at their Fishers location. I would highly recommend stopping in. Needed to waste 20 mins to pick up my IKEA order so I decided to give Rise'n Roll a try. I love boston cream, but the gentleman in front of me ordered the last one. No problem they have a peanut butter version. So I got that. Right away I could tell this was not fresh. Tasted just like a grocery store donut. Not that it was bad, it just didn't taste freshly made. Also picked up a cream cheese cinnamon roll. Much of the same story. Stale, not freshly made. I stopped after 2 bites, and I never stop after 2 bites. Guess my beagle will have something sweet when I get home. Very disappointed since I've heard the place is suppose to be good. Donuts are a yes, social distancing is a no. Not no, we don't want to do it, but no, this business was not interested in setting up the store, the flow, or the process to do it successfully. When we arrived there were 5 or 6 people inside, the line part was ok with the blue floor x and folks were spacing out. But as we got up to the counter area, a big guy came out and kept moving people around us (forcing them to walk right by us because they had their selections or call in orders) and was visibly annoyed we were picking out our donuts. First time here and my husband asked the lady helping us one question about his options. As we moved down the line, he kept moving people between the two registers, again breaking any hope of being physically apart, and was very annoyed we weren't paying with cash. I could see the urgency if there was a store full of people waiting but there was like three people waiting behind us. Ordered a coffee, and then he handed me a cup, wish I had known it was self serve, would have skipped it. I saw the self serve station with a couple of people crowded around it and touching all the lids, creamers, etc and I threw out my $2 cup. Suggestions to actually keep customers safe: no serve self, let the masked/ gloved employees serve coffee, and designate a register for to go orders where they skip the line. Great donuts, but not coming back unless changes are made to feel safer. read more

We are people who get up in the morning and watch Fox59 news. There is a segment called, "Where's Sherman?" So Sherman Burdett a reporter goes to different places to bring attention to a business. One day he went to Rise'n Roll Bakery. As I watched him showing all of the delicious looking donuts, pies, breads, jellies, jams, and all the other Amish things I knew I had to go there. Today was our designated day to go. We had one other stop to make and then we were off! There was a line inside however it does move quickly. There are several things to buy as you walk through, (there are wire baskets you can carry for your things) nothing is priced. There's an old saying, "If you have to ask the price, you can't afford it." I picked up a box of six cinnamon rolls with cream cheese icing, a box with six sticky buns, a box with a lb of cinnamon Carmel donut holes, then I asked for one apple fritter. My total bill was just shy of $30.00. I was surprised but not surprised. Due to people being so close to me I wasn't really able to take pictures in there. Crowds and a power chair do that sometimes. I do have a couple of pictures of items purchased. I ate a half of a cinnamon roll and a donut hole-superb!! Since I am diabetic...a little at a time. Cool and busy spot! The help gets you through the line quickly. This was our second visit. We picked up lemon cookies again. It's unfair how good the lemon cookies are. For 19 bucks plus tax, I was not expecting them to be day old but they were clearly taken out of a refrigerator that morning and were still cold.
