It was pretty scary at first, specially being at the care of others and having to trust that they know what they're doing while being afraid of anything happening to you, again. Like falling or getting it more damaged. But the girls there have had a great deal of empathy, & have been very caring. They have a lot of patience and have cheered me on throughout my recovery journey, which has been an emotional rollercoaster as well. Today I'm walking with a boot, no pain as of yet. From the friendly receptionists right when you walk in those doors & the security team who locks up your belongings while you're in surgery to the nurses- lots of nurses- they were all very sweet, caring just simply great and my doctor- Dr. Gilbert- an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand & upper extremity surgery- he is truly amazing. Not to mention, they literally waste no time- I was on the bed, hooked up to an IV within minutes, waited a little while, anesthesia kicked in, the last thing I remember was being in the OR & woke up in the recovery room. The PACU nurse made sure I was OK, gave me graham crackers & water, and even helped me get dressed. I was indeed well taken care of at this Hospital.

copying & pasting my google review here so more people are warned…read more do not come here for bunion surgery. read that as many times as you need so you can save yourself. dr lee was my surgeon. what i thought was a confident attitude during consultations was actually carelessness. he did the bunion surgery on me over a year ago. i have been in pain ever since. i complained that the pain was not improving for MANY months. he would shrug (even saying "huh" "im confused" "i don't know what's going on" etc, verbatim) and send me off to PT, where the pain still did not go away & problems worsened. he preferred to talk to me about my personal life instead of the worsening pain i was experiencing. go figure. now, i have several complications, unable to move forward with my life, barely able to walk, my other foot developing problems from compensating, and in constant pain. i am crippled. i am in more pain now than before the surgery. i actually miss having the bunion. i'm likely looking at a revision surgery. never again at livingston though. i would give 0 stars if i could. again, whatever you do, do NOT come here for bunion surgery.

And each one seems to have different ideas about what you should be doing which can contradict each other. They make you pay $15 per session without even knowing what insurance will cover. The bigger issue is that they like to limit the amount of sessions even though insurance says otherwise in order to push their expensive personal training.

The Dr sounded annoyed and advised me if I wasn't buying the meds from him, the cost of my weekly ozempic and vitamin shot will now be $200.00 per week..AN INCREASE OF $60.00!! I had to spend $4,000 to have fat removed from my butt because it had been moved to put in the hip. The hip was fine so I couldn't sue for malpractice. I tried communicating with the lead doctor to see if they could reimburse at least half of what I spent with no response. I looked deformed. I have a 7" scar that is about 1" wide. When I hear from other women that they have small imperceptible scar and I see that their profile is symmetrical I'm triggered. The other docs & PA's may be fine but I would go elsewhere for a hip replacement.
