It's not recommended to go on the tour when it's raining, and when it's too hot or cold outside. We had to reschedule twice due to weather but we finally made it out there and it was a lot of fun learning about bees, their importance to the world and seeing them up close. We all enjoyed the hands on experience being in the bee hits offered us! Standing in the middle of bees flying around, not angrily, and see how they work together was breathtaking. Becky, one of the staff members, scheduled our tour and led our honey taste testing. She was the sweetest lady and took the time to learn all of our names. Becky's husband, Jesus, led our bee tour and answered all of our many questions. He was very kind, knowledgeable and patient when addressing our questions. If you are looking for a fun experience you need to come out here and do the tour!!!

After all, this place is out in the country and, although not too far off of Hwy 71, it is secluded and kind of remote (probably seems more remote than it actually is). It was, however, a delightful surprise! The shop had a wide variety of bee-related items from tools and clothing for serious bee keepers to honeys and honey-sweetened candies to bee-themed household goods. So cute!! We were treated to a honey tasting, which (like wines) started with the lighter colored and flavored honey (a local honey) up to the darker honeys, then we veered off and were sampling cinnamon honey (think Red Hots + honey), coffee and chocolate flavored, and (my favorite) chili-infused honey. Cannot wait to try this drizzled over some soft cheese. I don't know how I got out with only the few items I purchased (photos below), so I'll have to go back. Many of the items would make great gifts (I'm thinking of those coffee mugs: Let it Bee; Bee Happy; and my favorite: Give Bees a Chance. Tours are also offered but must be scheduled in advance, a down side of spur-of-the-moment exploring. I'll be sure to do that next time, when I'm back to purchase gifts.

Kenneth was a great tour guide, giving us information about each of the breweries we went to. He also sat with us at each location and it was cool getting to know him. Searched online for brewery tours that included this and finally decided on Austin Brewery Tours. Almost daily tours, online booking was so easy, and we got a reminder, a couple of days earlier to our tour, via email. Tour starts at noon. Meetup time was 11:30am. At around 11:25am the van was there. Out comes Shane, owner and tour guide. He immediately introduced himself, thanked us for being on time and proceeded to ask us our names and where we were from. Once the other people taking the tour arrived, we were all introduced and in the van we went. During the time we were driving, he would ask us questions to get to know us better, and see the style of beers we liked. He also gave us an intro of each of the breweries we would visit. He made the time driving pass by fast and welcomed all questions we could have. At each of the breweries, he explained the process and what we had included in the price of the tour. At Jester King, they even had a special release and he bought a sample of each (which was not included in the price but he gifted us with it) making sure we had the complete experience. You can tell he enjoys doing these tours and meeting the people. He even took us to Revolution - which was in front of one of the breweries we visited - to try locally made flavored gin. So greateful he allowed us to do this quick stop - this was delicious, and gave me the opportunity to talk more with one of the ladies on the tour, exchanging ideas on recipes with the gin we had just tried. Shane is grate at incorporating everyone in the tour and conversations. He allows you plenty of time to enjoy each brewery and every beer you choose. He is now friends with the staff at each of these breweries, which works on the advantage of everyone in the tour since we got excellent/ friendly service at each stop. Best part of this all, is you meet new people, get to enjoy all the beer you can drink, and don't have to drive. Great way to spend a day in Austin. If looking for a beer tour, look no further, this is it!

Luckily we started the tour while the day was still in the 80s, so even though the bus was stuffy, we made it to the first winery stop with only one near-carsickness episode (the driving was erratic at best as well). Upon arrival to our first stop I notified the driver that the AC was not working. He took initiative to call another bus to meet us so that we could switch for the next portion of the drive. We learned the second bus also did not have working AC about 2 minutes into the ride. The AC would circulate for UP TO 30 seconds before shutting off for at least 60 seconds. And so on. Today was a 100+ degree day. We got to the second stop of the tour and notified our driver (yet again, not to mention he took us in the complete wrong direction on the road and a 12 minute ride turned into a 28 minute ride). The THIRD bus showed up while we were on our second winery stop. It had "working AC" however there was also a spent miller lite can in a magnetic koozie stuck to one of the bus walls. No doubt from the last ride. The first bus had potential. The entire group was so excited for our day. It had a cooler, was stocked with drinks, and looked well kept. It went downhill so quickly. This experience was 100% not worth the money. We could have used car services for all 10 in the group and still spent less money than this cost us.

From the initial email from Catherine after I filled out the online information form, to the day of communication from her with our driver information, etc, the entire process was fantastic! Catherine was so pleasing and professional, even throughout my endless questions and itinerary changes. When tour time came, our driver was super nice, and the bus was awesome! The only small thing I can think of, is to have the buses equipped with bluetooth capability so we could have played our own music. Other than that, though, the experience was perfect. Book them! Drink wine! Be happy!

(due to Covid19) This was not an issue for anyone attending the tour and the company got all $2800 paid for in full. 2. Yes $2800. We had 28 people in our group, It required two buses that were at their max capacity. 3. I would give a HUGE ZERO if I could. The buses arrived at the pick up location 25 minutes early and expected us (all 28) to load up. Not all 28 people were even there yet. The male driver already seemed annoyed at this point. We ended up pulling out at the agreed on time. When trying to leave the 2nd winery we couldn't. The drivers HAD LEFT and weren't there to pick us up. We waited outside in the sun outside for 30 minutes before they even got back. But that unfortunately is not why I am writing this review As we were loading the bus to go home the male driver said that would be charging us for a cleaning fee ($300) because someone spilt something on the floorboard. Pretty steep for a small spill that could be wiped up with a Clorox wipe but she agreed to pay it she sat down. Comments started to be exchanged about the steep fee and how the day had been complete chaos up until this point. The man began to get pretty heated and slammed the door. When he opened the door to his seat he said "who the f**k spilt something in my seat." Nobody had spilled something on his seat. Upon looking at the "spill" it appeared to be sweat from Him. He continued to cuss and yell and eventually told us to "get off his bus." We all piled off and the other bus also unloaded. Now it is important to note the other driver said we didn't do anything wrong and that she didn't agree with how he was handling things. He told her he was in charge and that he would make the call. She became quiet after that. They ultimately left us there to find our own rides. The male driver was rude and didn't speak unless spoken to the entire day. A beautiful day with amazing company was RUINED by this company and I will not recommend them to anyone!

I'm but a man, but my take is that it'd be a tremendous idea to check your mail once in a while. Just once. In anticipation of the recent Rockin' Ride Yelp Elite goofiness, I emailed the Rockin' Ride to set things up. I don't know if there's a candle in there or what, but clearly they don't check it. So if you want to book the Rockin' Ride, do yourself a favor and call. It's night and day more reliable. I feel like this may have had a little to do with the time mixup that had the bus late to pick up our group. That said, once they showed our experience was utterly and completely ridiculous / festive / fun. Our driver, JJ, set the tone by being more than accomodating, and the bus itself was great: in addition to the giant stash of tunes (disco and otherwise), the Rockin' Ride bus we were on featured hundreds of videos (apparently at one point the entire bus was doing the 'Michael Jackson' --I'm hoping from the Thriller video-- and things were kept fun, casual, and so safe that all we had to do was pile off and on at the right time and we were in business. It's a terrific business idea, and from the velvet curtains to the giant side tubs for your cold ones to the fog machines, disco balls and well, your friends, you could do loads worse than a night out on the town on the Rockin' Ride. And while I'm sure they're all pretty great if you can get the booking settled, ask for JJ. I have it on good authority that this guy will get you to your detination(s) in style, like the rock star you've become.

It was sticky. It was dangerous. People flying around the bus every time we stopped. No microphone anywhere. So really in the end, you choose songs from a karaoke like computer and sing whilst being driven around. All in all, it could be much better executed. Suggest a route, have microphones for each person, have more built in ice chests, have a red light that comes on inside whenever the brakes are pushed so people know to sit down. In the future I'd probably prefer to rent a limo or similar but if you're trying to get down to Wurstfest or something, it's a safe fun bet that's cheaper than a DWI and has a better music selection.
