Not knowing what kind of pizza to order, I asked the employee to surprise me. They made Mama G's Specialty, which is chicken, basil, and red onion drizzled with a balsamic jam. I was skeptical but I loved the flavor and the presentation was fantastic. The employees were friendly and recommended the homemade gelato, which I look forward to trying next time. Much tastier than a bookstore coffee shop, I'd come back if I end up in Dayton again!

Great food! Friendly staff! I have won multiple awards and competitions for my own lasagna recipe so I use lasagna as a way to judge restaurants and I'll definitely be back to get their's again. The spaghetti & meat sauce was also excellent, as was the pizza, and chicken picatta. The only issue was the kitchen was pretty slow on the night we went (very well may have been understaffed & I never pass judgement off just 1 visit). read more

Then I went into the bathroom and saw the same type of brown paper towels in the dispenser. So how in the hell does something that looks exactly like a bathroom paper towel end up baked into someone's pizza? That is beyond nasty and raises serious questions about what is happening in that kitchen. I told them I did not want the rest of the pizza, because who would keep eating after finding that? The worst part was the way they dismissed me instead of showing any real concern for food safety or the fact that I could have damaged my tooth. The pictures speak for themselves. I will never eat at Pie Hound Pizza Company again. Check your food before you bite into it, because apparently customers are expected to argue with management about whether paper towel fibers are "just dough." I don't know what is it if it's not paper towel what do yall think it is?
