Headbangers Ball!…read more Kill your Idol was one of my brief stops during the Saturday pub crawl. The bar is located towards the back, and the stage is up front. After getting their white tea aka whiskey shot, my bro and I had to make our way through essentially the mosh pit of a KISS cover band, white face paint and all. The drink is always good, but the music is not my kind of vibe.

Haha, this was quite a surprisingly fun and cool place. We came on a pretty quiet evening but they…read moretold us a DJ would be playing at 10pm. The bartender told us from 8-10p, drinks are half off, whoa! The hard rock was playing and the decor above the bar will make you laugh (and maybe reminisce). They had an art installation in the bar (so cool that they do this!) when we were there. We weren't quite sure what kind of music the DJ would play, first it was very hard rock and the crowds started coming so more popular songs were played. People were dancing, drinking and having a good time. A full range of music from NIN, Nirvana, Mariah Carey, Shakira, etc was heard all evening! You could put requests in and it was honestly a really fun night! They keep the bar clean, always removing empty glasses, napkins and constantly moving to clear the bar and small tables. They have a water station at the end of the bar and really make sure it's always full. I'm very impressed with this place (it's connected to Lost Weekend but we never made it over since we were enjoying Kill Your Idol too much). We had a great time, thank you!

This is located in the heart of little Havana. It's on a corner of the street which makes for great…read morepeople watching. It has a bunch of chairs outside with some fans blowing. They have such cute drinks! I just got pineapple juice but my friends got their coconut drink and mojito and said it was to die for! They give you these plantain chips to snack on and they are so good! It's got a sweet, salty, and crunchy chip texture to it. For an appetizer, we got a sampler which had ropa vieja, plantains, empanadas, shredded pork, and some large fried potatoes. I loved that so you get to try a little bit of everything. The ropa vieja tasted just like grandmas. They use ropa vieja as the filling in the empanadas. The fried potato's was steak fry cut style. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just how a perfect fry should taste! Everyone really liked the vaca frita! I think that's a must try! It's shredded beef marinated in this delicious citrus marinate. They fry it afterwards so it's pull apart, melt in your mount soft, with a nice crispy crunch to it. I think this is a must get dish. The desserts were delicious too! The flan was perfectly soft and creamy. The tres leches was delicious as well. This is a great place to have some good Cuban and enjoy a beautiful night out in Miami!

Good for cuban food but takes advantage of being in a tourist trap area. Overpriced automatically…read morecharges 20% gratuity and all the available surcharges legally possible. Service is ok waitress was friendly but doing their job for the company to max out their profits. Ambiance is what you expect of all the south beach locations seemingly an extension of Havana if you been there. I would rank as 4 stars for the food but downgrade because they added a lot of random stuff to the menu just to get those who dont know real cuban food to eat there such as burgers and pasta lol. It would get 5 stars if they were authentic trying to offer strictly cuban only and reasonably priced. Because they take advantage of tourist and are here just for the money I lowered it to 3.
