I have been going to Dr. Rita for a few months now, I don't have health insurance so therefore I pay cash, not only is she extremely nice and professional, shes also reasonable in pricing. I just got a root canal, and I'm going back for additional work. I love how clean her office is, as soon as you walk in, the receptionist checks your temperature, you sanitize your hands & I seen the staff sanitize/disinfect after patients left, that was a big plus for me. I took my 10 year old to her, my daughter was traumatized from her prior dentist, after leaving Dr. Rita's office, my daughter told me, "I like this dentist 100 times better". I think that sealed the deal with Dr. Rita for me. I highly recommend this dentist. I have already made an appointment for my mom. She is understanding of a patients issues, finds and solves those issues and explains what she is doing and why she is doing to help the patient understand. I have been going to Dr. Rita for over 10 years from a recommendation from a coworker. I have taken my 9 and 7 year old since they were 6 months old just to get them used to seeing a dentist. I had been complaining of pain in my molar for the past 4 months since July and Antolin could've saved my molar (tooth #30) but she didn't bother to give me an early and proper diagnosis. I finally got an appointment first week of August and she just put me on pain meds and antibiotics and didn't do a thorough check up. Even though she said "I think you might need a root canal" but nothing was done to this day. I went in October 9 for the last time to complain again about the pain in my molar, It was only then that she said she doesn't do root canals on molars anymore. Really Antolin??? So today I went for consultations with 2 different dentists and they both said I have an infected tooth #30 and it is too late for a root canal. It is beyond saving, it needs to be extracted. If Antolin had cared enough to diagnose it earlier in time for a root canal treatment, my molar could've been saved and also Medi-Cal would probably have covered it. Now I have to pay out of pocket expenses of $2000 for a bridge after they extract my molar. Shame on you Rita Antolin. Apparently, after you replaced the defective cracked crown in August and I was still complaining of having a toothache, you should have been more concerned to check thoroughly... maybe to see if I needed a root canal instead??? Did that ever occur to you??? Again, SHAME ON YOU!!! read more

I've been going to Dr. Rita for 10 years now - time flies so fast. She is only my second dentist - for 30+ years, almost since I was born, I went to the same dental office (out of state) and couldn't fathom going to another one. Thankfully, I found Dr. Rita on Yelp. I have never had anything less than a great experience there. She is a very good dentist and knows everything about teeth! If you need a dentist, or if you have a dental problem, go to her. No, Canoga Park is not a good area but don't worry, you will be fine! When I first went to her, I had no dental insurance...(dental policies are usually crap anyway, the cost of having one is about the same as what it would be over time if you were to pay cash, if you don't have bad teeth) and her cash prices were more than reasonable. This review is loooong overdue! I do consider the reviews on Yelp when I seek out places to take my family to eat. When it comes to services, I depend mostly on referrals or word of mouth from people I trust. When I receive excellent service, I make sure to show my appreciation personally. But I'm compelled to share our unique story and finally drop a review. I've been coming to Dr Antolin for over 10 years now and the services that she renders are nothing short of excellence. She literally fixed my teeth to say the least. I came in for a second opinion because my previous dentist had been telling me that everything is OK with my teeth even when I'd come in hurting ‍ Omg. I came in to her with 14 cavities! 14 you guys! Nearly half the number of teeth I got y'all! It took a good couple of years to save my smile! She did an overhaul! After getting rid of my silver no good filings, she scraped, filled, filed, polished and straightened them. She didn't just feel the need to fix what was broken, but she made sure to leave me with a stronger and long lasting set of teeth to show. Ok...that's just MY story. Here's my kids'... When I moved to Fontana, I didn't really know many people to ask for a good peds dentist. Instead I had to rely on ads! Sadly, a cute mural on the walls, a brand spankin' new office attracted me to come in and trust them with my children! When it came to procedures, they would put them in a papoose, a mouth guard to keep them from closing their mouth and close the door because of the cries. Do you all know what a papoose is? It's a restraint! Because I trusted them with their proposed procedures and I didn't know any better, I had to allow this to happen! I thought it was a standard for all peds services. But it really didn't feel right! My babies were given medications, papoosed, and told that everything was going to be Ok. It didn't settle well in my gut. Because of the awesome service that I received from Dr Antolin, I decided to transfer my children's care to her as well. She may lack the brightly colored murals on her walls, but she performed exceptionally well treating my boys with utmost respect and patience. She took the time to get to know them and gained their trust rather than trick them only to be strapped down and coerced. We've been coming to her happily eversince. We drive a little over an hour to our appointments. I find that the quality of service that we receive is beyond what any other can ever give us. She went above and beyond our expectations. Seeing bad reviews on this particular individual is ridiculous! The entire staff is welcoming and this dentist is very good at her profession! I would imagine that they may have requested something that was denied and thought to give a bad review. Don't be swayed. This dentist takes her time and really takes care of her patients. I narrowed down dentists based on my insurance plan, through reviews on Yelp, and due to location. It's a tiny office so based on my experience you don't get appointments right away. The dentist herself does the cleanings which I've only seen at small offices like this. She is rough with cleaning, but you are numbed before she starts since she applies an ointment on you (like a review stated I have never been numbed before a basic cleaning until I came to this office). That being said although it was one of the more painful cleanings because the dentist is thorough, I haven't needed to get the scaling/deep cleanings which are more painful and end up costing more $$. Cleanings not covered by insurance are $90 I believe which surprised me because you can get cleanings and x rays now at most places for between $35-$60. Haven't had problems with the billing (yet). In any case, they have Netflix you can watch while they are doing your teeth, good magazines in the waiting room (I was always seen right on time if not earlier), and I left with a toothbrush and small thing of floss as a present :) I'm going to give this office a shot a couple more times to see if it's for me. read more

Please avoid the person as much as you can. She did my veneers and in few years about 9! Of them fell off. All the dentists agreed the work was unprofessional. I already spent over 5K to the residual treatments. She doesn't know what she is doing and she is a mean person too!!! read more

She eased/talked me through all procedures I've gotten done with her (fillings, cleanings, root canals...), and most of all, I'm not as scared of the "needle" as I was with my previous dentists. (Yes, I'm an adult and the dentists' needles scare me more than others!) She's great! Her prices are fair and she won't cheat you. She's actually the best dentist I've had. I am afraid of dentists. Growing up, I didn't take care of my teeth. So I had to go under the needle a lot when I was younger. Had retainers, root canals, fillings, and more. This was all in the Philippines. I've had multiple dentists here in the US as well. In West Virginia, & Tennessee. Of all the dentists I've been under, no one compares to Dr. Rita. EVERY VISIT has been amazing. She knocks it out of the park every time! Somehow, she manages to calm a 36-year-old man during a filling, or a root canal. Even a cap. I step out after my appointment thinking, "Wow, that was simple." She's affordable. She's honest. She's friendly. She even does our 3 year old daughter, who loves her. Her staff is very friendly. She was professional, courteous, gentle, incredibly informative and did not patronize as has been done in the past as a few doctors and dentists sometimes do. I've always been terrified of going to the Dentist. As a kid my Mom always had to trick me to get me in for a procedure. I was always told "we're going in for aclean." then BOOM! I get a tooth pulled! Finally! I got my wisdom tooth pulled today! This has been in talks for quite awhile. Dr. Rita is so sweet, patient and courteous. The staff are awesome and they make you feel very comfortable. Before she started on me she had her assistant buy me OJ incase my blood sugar dropped due to the anesthesia, Dr. Rita's concern made me feel a lot of comfort. During my procedure she was gentle, calming and talked me through the whole time! Dr. Rita and her assistant was very comforting, that helped me feel more relaxed. Let me first by saying i wish i could add more than just the allowed 5 stars. She truely deserves national recognition. But the very least I can do is to give her my complete and humble thanks. Let me tell you people, I HATE, no... I DESPISE going to the dentists. From my first time visiting Dr.Antolin it had been 20 some odd years since the last a dentist has had their evil and sadistic hands in my mouth. I went only 3 times as a child B4 my mom gave up on it we were also kinda poor so yeah.... Fast forward I'm an adult now. My teeth basicaly have ruined me and robbed me of a large chunk of what was supost be the best years of my life . I have no self-esteem, noconfidence, I couldnt eat, I couldnt even smile when I felt happy. I felt subhuman. Depression was and is something I know more about than a mental health doctor ever could. My mouth one day became so infected I finally had to do something. I had no insurance little money to speak of so I went out and bough fish antibiotics from the pet store to try to lessen the infection and the agony(I'm a dumbass IF YOUR A HUMAN PLEASE DONT TAKE ANTIBIOTICS FOR FISH!!) But I guess people in agony will do just about anything that could possibly help even if it could also really hurt them... But My girlfriend came home with a phone number she got from a lady on the bus (she musta been a angel in desguise) my girlfriend basicaly had to make the phone call and told the dock I was taking fish medicine. When Dr. Rita heard this she was shocked and told my GF, "I dont care if he is pennyless!! Get him over to me. We can work something out. My GF had to drag me in there. I of course needed a EXTRACTION! I was TERRIFIED. The doctor was so assuring and had such a soothing voice. She used a tool I've never seen. It vibrated so dang fast in my mouth it shock numbed the nerves in my gums so much so i dont even think i felt the needle go into my jaw. If you go to her,... wich you should, make sure you ask for this tool to be used after she numbs you and just B4 the novocaine shot. Look, I could go on for another hour but I'll end this soon. She is incredible. For me, a Godsend. She is payment flexible for cash clients like me who are strapped for cash. If dentistry schools used her as a model to strive to be like the entire industry would be viewed in such a better light. She took my fear level from a 101% down to a 60% which I never would have thought would ever be possible. Let me say one final thing about how special and unique this lady is at performing her trade. She was a 20min drive from me.. but I live in Las Vegas NV now. Now when I need a dentist, NO B.S,...SERIOUS, instead of finding a dentist 5 or 10min away, I rent an economy car and drive 291miles one way just to get work done on my tore up mouth. She is gonna be the reason why this scared sh*it less and low income dude is gonna be able to smile at someone who says something funny and not have to hide my mouth in shame. I'll be able to eat a damn steak agin! She can change your life I promise. This review is long overdue as I've been going to and trusting Dr. Antolin not only with my dental care and needs, but my whole family's as well- for the past 8 years! So why write this review now??? Because I saw an old picture of me with ungly teeth. I owe this Dr. for the smile I can be proud of! Dentists now a days are a dime a dozen....and finding a good one is like finding a needle in a haystack! I've neglected my teeth during my early adulthood due to traumatic experiences with past dentists. As such, I developed a phobia with dentists! I was referred by a friend to Dr. Antolin. I was hesitant to go...because she's a DENTIST but also because she is so far away from me!!! 71.1 miles far to be exact!! But I was desperate so I gave her a try. On my first visit, I explained to her about my massive fear. She was very comforting, polite, observant AND understanding. She didnt shove anything in my mouth or my throat. Rather, she worked on my fear first so I could sit in her dental chair and get the dental treatment I desperately needed. Granted it took several visits before I got my first "actual" cleaning. But it was worth it. Knowing I have very low tolerance for pain, she makes sure I have the utmost minimal pain when she works on me. Since then I've had deep cleanings, tooth extractions, root canals and braces. My 3 kids love going to her as well. She cares, that's why she's good! As with any Doctors, patients also have a responsibility with the care they expect to receive. Ask questions and speak up!!
