    Coffee and an empanada
    Anndria D.

I stopped at Rita's on my way to yoga one morning because I was very early. This cafe is incredibly cute, I love the books everywhere (I'm a big reader). The woman who took my order was very sweet and the empanada, quesito and coffee I ordered were all so so good. I also love that they have community events like game nights and language nights. I will definitely be back and I have told anyone in my area who will listen to visit this cafe.

Eclectic little coffee shop with great potential! The avocado toast and salad were outstanding, and the chicken empanadas were the clear favorite. Coffee was delicious too. Love the shelves of books, though they're for in-store reading only. They also host game nights and events, which adds to the charm. Still working out a few kinks, but definitely worth a visit--I'll be back!

Charming, charming, charming! This lovely cafe in Lake Mary was my first stop this Father's Day because I'd heard the hazelnut latte was very good. Facts! What I wasn't expecting was to find a cafe with such "international" asperations of connecting people via a safe space (right next to the Lake Mary Sunrail), tasty bites, and excellent coffee. French Cafe is worth the visit if you appreciate good service from friendly staff and mellow vibes surrounded by books and music and maybe a language exchange thrown in for good measure. I will return to try one of their quiches and maybe even run into one of the beautiful keeshonds that greeted me today. Merci, French Cafe 1515! See you again soon - if I'm lucky.

This place is unique and special in so many ways. First the food! We ordered a chicken empanada from the many flavors offered. We also got a homemade guava pastry. Wow! They were delicious--I even bough another pastry to take home. Other food offerings that sound good: Shepherd's Pie (in its own little crock), quiche, tres leche cake and homemade macaroon. The latte was awesome and beautifully crafted. The ambiance is European casual--like you're in a little shop off a cobblestoned street in Paris. There's a piano available for those who play. Lots of games for young and old. Plus this is literally right next to the Lake Mary Sun Rail station. You can come from any part of Orlando and enjoy a nice breakfast or lunch. Parking is convenient. They also have several tables with umbrellas outside during nicer weather. A bonus--the owner, Derek, introduced himself explaining their Language Exchange weekly event. On Saturday nights at 6:00 pm, they have 30-40 people come to learn a new language from someone who speaks it. They have a table for English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish, maybe more. These are the ones I remember. My friend and I felt like we were far away on vacation in some other country. I haven't been this excited over a new find in a long time. Well done, Derek!

The young man at the counter had such a wonderful attitude and sweet way with all of the customers. He made me a fantastic smoothie and even gave me a tad bit that was left over that wouldn't fit in the glass. It's a great cozy little place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or a light snack and snuggle back in the corner to relax.

Cozy, yummy, just plain perfect! Enjoyed a breakfast here and will definitely be back. The atmosphere is wonderful and the avo toast was devine.

Great breakfast spot! I ordered the quiche and it was absolutely delicious -- perfectly cooked and full of flavor. My son had the breakfast empanada and loved it. We also tried one of their smoothies, which was fresh and tasty. We'll definitely be back

What an adorable cafe in Lake Mary to grab a bite to eat near the Sunrail! French Cafe 1515 was an excellent place for drinks and light food. My friend and I took our kids here when we rode the Sunrail up from Winter Park. The cafe located literally right next to the Sunrail stop, so it's super convenient to go here. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We sat outside on the patio and she brought out our food to us. She even brought out some yard games for the kids to play with as well as some crayons and paper for them. This was such a kind gesture! My friend and I had some quiche and our boys had some sweet treats. Everything was delicious and I would love to come back again when riding the Sunrail up to Lake Mary.

Looks like we found a charming new coffee spot to slip in little Honey's rotation! Magnifique! Pistachio cheesecake was absolutely delicious and I'm still reeling from the coffee. I'm the Great Cornholio!!! Lots of things on offer, snacky bits, confections, fresh quiche and croissants, and such. And because they're right on the Lake Mary Sunrail stop, they're super convenient for anyone on the go. Might even be exciting just to take the train in sometime. Why not? Lol

Cute little gem directly next to the Lake Mary Sunrail Station. The hot chai late was actually one of the better I have ever had. Cute little old school home town vibe inside. Yum!

They were out of half of what we asked for and served us cold food despite us being the only customers in there. This last visit, my friend and I came at 11:30 on a Saturday. There were maybe 7 tables occupied, so not what anyone would deem busy but it was pretty hectic. There was no one at the hostess stand so we eventually approached the cash register and asked if we could be seated. They cleared a table and we sat down with our menus (that we grabbed ourselves). We waited for about 10 minutes while the tables on either side of us were serviced before finally flagging the gentleman who we'd spoken to at the counter and asking if he was our waiter. He looked around and then shrugged and said "Yes, I guess so." He took our order (we asked for 1 entree, a coffee flight, and waters). We waited for another 20 minutes while watching tables that came in way after us receive coffee flights and multiple entrees-- meanwhile we hadn't even gotten our waters. We finally went up to the counter to ask for water and our flight-- they had given it to another table. 15 minutes longer and we finally got our flight, another 10 min and my entree finally arrived. I ordered eggs Benedict and though it was warm (unlike last time), the English muffin was smashed flat. I thought it was on pita bread. It made cutting into everything a real struggle, but it did taste good. All told, we didn't get out of there until a little after 1pm. Perhaps 30 min of that was spent actively consuming what we'd ordered and the rest was just waiting and trying to get a waiter's attention. This place is in desperate need of good management. They were not overly busy, especially for a Saturday, but you could just see that nothing was organized and there was no understood approach. The staff was dressed in regular clothes without name tags or anything discernible to identify them as staff. It made finding help confusing and awkward. For the prices they charge, your customers should never be left waiting for an hour and a half or fending for themselves to get something as simple as water.

It is very much the type of environment that calls for a sit down-even if a brief one. I noticed most folk sat in with their coffees/food/pastries. The service was friendly but sadly the espresso and steamed milk machines were broken during my visit meaning many coffee items were unavailable. Major bummer as I am an iced latte lover so I settled for a cold brew which was decent. I definitely would have preferred a latte so hopefully next time I'm in Sanford, all systems are go. I also ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich and requested the turkey option instead of regular bacon. I would have assumed the "turkey" option meant turkey bacon. To my surprise it was actually deli sliced turkey. While it wasn't overall unpleasant, I would have preferred turkey bacon given it is a breakfast sandwich. Would have given it that crispy element. But as stated, it was nice and a good size for the price tag. I didn't have room for any pasty, cake or pie but looking forward to trying next time as they all looked really yummy on the display case! If you are looking for a coffee or quick cafe stop in Sanford, this is a notch above the chains and worthy of a stop!
