Be very careful while using the pharmacy. The man that works the drive-through is not clear on the price of prescriptions. I bought what I thought was prescriptions for $5 and it ended up being $65 and there was nothing I could do about it once I left. It was my bad decision for not looking at the paper before signing and just trusting him but the fact that they would not do anything for me about it, very disappointing. Worst place to get a prescription filled. They told me 20 minutes, after 40 minutes of waiting I got in line to ask. They told me it had been ready but they never got around to calling me. Then, told me my insurance was not working! Ha! The staff was rude also. Never going back. read more

Bob the manager was absolutely worthless in helping me even in the slightest. I lost my credit card and a fraudulent purchase of over 100 dollars was made at his store. When I told him my story he just laughed hysterically, then just listed all the things he would need to do in order to help me out, summarizing that he wasn't going to do anything to help. As a drugstore, Rite Aid is OK in my book. Can be pricey at times, but it's certainly less than what I see for similar items at Longs Drugs or even Walgreens. It also has more variety as well. Oh yeah, this place has ice cream too! The ice cream isn't too bad, especially if you take it home by the box. It also helps if you go in this store with coupons (especially for hair coloring at times) from their flyers. That way, you can spend less and use your money for other things. read more

To the female pharmacy tech with burgundy hair, whom treated my parents and others so very disrespectful, you should not be in customer service! Do you not understand, those that wait in line are there for one reason only, to pick up medication and not to be treated by someone behind a counter miserable than hell, rolling eyes and with a disgusted angry look?! Did you not realize the couple in line has a terminally ill family member?! Did you know its obvious when you help a male and not the elderly or a female?! Did you not realize that the baby the mom was holding was very sick? Most likely her thoughts where getting her child home quickly. My husband and I sat with my parents to explain the importance of their medications. The reason they refused was because of the rude "girl" more than once. I knew exactly who they where describing standing in line. I've witnessed first hand your treatment of others and also to your co-workers. You throw your weight around as though one should salute! Assuming your app 30ish, you have not learned respect, and will never!! In conversations with friends, they confirmed same treatment. Working in retail myself, I am aware of the laws of weights and measures: if there are ad signs blanketing the area of where the product is, BY LAW, it HAS TO BE HONORED, whether the ad sign is expired or placed in the wrong "spot". Having similar issues at prior rite aids about their signage and fine print, I stuck said ad signs on my products I was purchasing to save the cashier time, because it was very busy and, again, working in retail, corporate pencil pushers do not fathom a clue when it comes to providing payroll hours to have enough staff on sales floors, and I could tell this location is understaffed. Cashier gave me attitude, said my products didn't qualify. Weights and measures sweetie, ask your boss about this LAW!!!! She says "the signs aren't there" my reply: "yes, because I stuck them on the product" duh!!! Were you listening to me or did you notice when you were ringing them up? Guess not!! She "honored" the signed prices, acted like she was giving me a new Mercedes by doing me such a huge favor, and I got my blue Halloween hair paints to wear to dodger stadium next week so I was happy. I give this store two stars because it's very clean and they've always got stuff in stock. And they really need to pull their dead plants from the racks in front of the store and water the rest before they suffer the same fate. read more

Wow. I just had a really rude and horrible experience with Morgan in the pharmacy. So rude, cold and unhelpful. I can't believe she is allowed to work where she has to deal with the public. This is the second time I have had the privilege of her charming personality. She snaps one work answers and doesn't care about the people that are asking questions. Actually I did not get to ask a question. After she snapped at me I just said thank you and hung up. I guess there is no real management. I can't imagine a good manager would allow such horrible service and attitude. Thanks Morgan and I hope you find a job where you won't be bothered by customers! read more

I just moved to Arroyo Grande from San Luis Obispo, and decided to use Rite Aid due to it's efficient use of the drive thru, and not liking the drive thru for CVS, the pharmacy previously used on Madonna. This change was told to my doctor, and the reason why. So today I go to get a prescription transferred, and I get a call From Reda Abass the pharmacist, and was told in a yelling voice that he didn't serve patients like me that I took a kind of med he refused to fill. No advice why, or what to do to help my self from this problem, just anger and yelling the whole while I am just sitting here in disbelief. We need to stop getting treated by people like this, and get their name, and put it out there. So others can help make a statement we won't be treated like this anymore. We are our own health advocates these days. No one is on our side anymore unfortunately. He never asked my health conditions, or why I needed this med just made assumptions and went on his way. I will not be his customer or a customer of Rite Aid again., read more
