I came in to get a prescription filled and they already had the order from my doctor and nobody else was waiting. The wooden faced pharmacist told me that it would be over an hour wait to get my prescription filled. This makes no sense! Why not take the few minutes to fill a prescription for somebody who is standing alone in front of you. Why force me to make an extra trip?? Not very good customer service. The only reason the rating isn't lower is that there is seldom a line here....I guess because most people avoid this pharmacy. read more

There are some really nice people who work here, but in the almost 4 years we have been using this pharmacy the customer service has gone steadily downhill. I can wait three days after calling in a prescription and it still won't be there, because they are filling from their central fulfillment center instead of at the store. They tell me it will be ready on Friday instead. So I come back on Friday and I go in at noon, to give them plenty of time. Still not ready. Three trips for one prescription is ridiculous. This and other confusion with getting other RX filled has happened so many times we are about ready to switch to a new pharmacy. read more

The pharmacy at this Rite Aid location deserves zero stars. It is staffed by rude halfwits who cant do their simple jobs without copping a massive attitude. A week ago I used their app to request a refill of my insulin. Insulin. Pretty important. Tried a couple of days ago to pick it up and it wasn't ready. Came back today and was told they dont have it, dont know when they're going to have it, and that I should check Walgreens or a Rite Aid in Lynden. What kind of an answer is that? By now I'm running out, so I had no choice but to buy a small quantity until I can get a proper refill. The cashier behind the counter sells it to me, but for about 5 times the going rate. When I questioned him, he said he doesn't set the price. Well, who does? The female pharmacist's attitude was "I dont care" and completely unhelpful. This Rite Aid location obviously scrapes the bottom of the barrel and hires people who couldn't get a job at a decent pharmacy. If you want to buy some cheap booze, I guess this shithole would be good enough. But if you are someone who expects an appropriate level of customer service and concern about your health issues, you're wasting your time at the Ferndale Rite Aid. I transferred my prescriptions somewhere else and will never go back. read more

Customer Service sucks! Found out this store have lots of complains from the customer. They don't even know what is the true meaning of Customer service.. At the pharmacy, dang! Some employee there smells cigarette which it turns off to the customer I wonder if they wash their hands yukky! I hope Walgreens will not tolerate these problem with the rite aid employees. read more

This rite aid pharmacy is so severely understaffed that I am concerned for the public health of the city of Ferndale. They're so swamped that they don't answer their phones, and when I mentioned to them that their phone lines were down, one person snapped at me and another person tearfully explained that they are so short staffed that they can't stop to do anything. Was trying to get some beers a couple blocks from my house. I've been to this rite aid 25+ times to get beer or tobacco and never had a problem. But this older night shift lady got confused bc my id is from out of state and she couldn't understand it. She tried scanning it but her scanner wasn't even on and so she denied me. Not understanding how if they think I'm a minor they've sold alcohol and tobacco to me before. Obviously their staff is not trained well enough to understand id's because all of them allow different things. read more

PROS: Helpful/friendly/professsional - always there for ya. Customers must like them, that's why at times, there are lines. CONS: Sometimes regular shelf stocked items not available. All & all they are the only drug store I will frequent....... read more

Was very sick went to store to get jello, apple sauce you know sick things. There was none of this. Left found phone was missing went in twice after looking places to ask if they found a phone. The second time she said this is the second time you asked. Asked to call police because I think I left it in cart. Made to wait 10 minutes. While waiting in cold for 30 minutes for police in my car I asked to use phone so someone could bring name money. Was told she had to wait on the customer who walked up behind me the police were there so I left. Ask police if I could walk in with him to see if I left it he said I was not allowed in the store. When I put a find phone signal 1 hour later it was in store. The cashier told my husband it made the noise in the cart next to the cashier? She told my husband she did not let me use the phone because she did not want to get the cash register stole Don't worry I won't be back. read more

I have always had courteous service, help finding products and excellent service at the pharmacy.

I went to get a prescription. It was called in early PM the day before. I went to pick it up at 7:00 PM the next day, to use that evening. It wasn't ready. I was told come back in 1 hour. 30 minute round trip home and back. 8:00 it was ready. I had another option when it was ordered, I will take it next time. read more

Replying to Pam F. business owner re: Rite Aid. I have little interest to continue this situation in any form of conversation with you. I have given more than enough detail in my previous dissertation (review). This along with the many other reviews that are suspiciously similar in nature to my less than desirable experience i communicated for you. It should not take more of my time for you to be able to take appropriate action given the nature of the multiple similar reviews and from complete strangers to one another. I pledge all is true and correct. Unless of course you would like to hear the part about the gal pharmacy worker sprinting up towards the window pretty much assaulting the guy in the window along her way to then do what i am not really certain of....? Maybe she was going to suck in her cheeks to then leap through the little window to assault me perhaps. I would not really know though. You would have to ask her. Next thing i saw was the "little" in stature pharmacist come sprinting up to then grab the other gal around the waste and start pulling her to the back. It was all quite amusing to watch as she threatened to call the police on ME. For what i do not know. I would again have to refer you to ask her. The Ferndale Rite Aide Pharmacy has substandard service. We regularly have problems getting our prescriptions (rx) filled. The rx are not ready for pickup when they indicate. They tell us that they cannot buy a rx and won't try. So I called every other Rite Aide pharmacy in the area and they had it in stock. (WHAT???) They often cannot fill drugs thus putting our 1 month allowance (per our insurance company) and our usage needs off schedule then say that our insurance co. won't pay because it exceeds our monthly allowance. This is due to their lack of efficiency. Once I got all the way home (40 minutes round trip) only to discover that they gave another patients rx. They have standard scripted excuses for most issues. I have never had worse service from a pharmacy. read more

Stopped in on my lunchbreak (I work in Ferndale) to get a flu shot. The Phramacy was slammed, it appears that half of Ferndale had decided to converge at noon and all fill prescriptions at the same time. The pharmacy staff handled the rush like consummate professionals, getting everyone in and out as quick as possible while staying friendly and cheerful. They processed my paperwork as fast as they could and the pharmacist gave me my shot and had me out the door. Very courteous and helpful. Definitely recommend. read more

Literally everytime I have gone in, there is some error with signage. I was foolish enough to stop in there a few times but never again.

Every time doesn't seem to matter what hour in the day the line is always long they have one somtimes two cashiers working.
