Bellingham Ross has some pretty good products. They could keep up on the mess that the customers make a little better. I think that management or corporate I should say, does not treat employees as well as they should. My observations. I would recommend the Ross. Biggest downside is the bathrooms are never clean. I used to love shopping at Ross but this place is quite a disaster. Super messy. Shelves half filled. It feels sad in here. I tried to browse through the clothing racks but it was quite impossible. I did manage to pick up a folding table and small laundry basket. This is literally a place to just avoid, unless you have the patience and time to dig through the stuff. There is a washroom by the fitting room and the staff will punch in the code for you. Not the cleanest though. read more

Ross is one of my go to place in Bellingham. I've been here for 3 times already and my recent visit was fantastic. Yes, I even find myself this store is very unorganized ,but this won't stop me from going. I was here yesterday with my besty for a border shopping and found some great products for myself. I bought $9.99 jogger pants and $6.99 fleece lined pants which I've been looking for. It was definite STEAL. I personally find pricing cheaper than the next door, Marshalls, however this shop was so worth going. Just don't mind the untidiness really. Check out line up was confusing I find. Every Ross location I've shopped at is messy, but this Bellingham location is by far the messiest. You see many merchandizes on the floor, cloths, shoes, you name it (even if you go to the store right when the doors open in the morning, this store is not as tidy as what's shown in the photos posted by the Ross Corporate Office, not even close). I agree with fellow Yelper, Catherine O., why this store is so chaotic. Also, I have dealt with many rude employees, especially cashers who act as if they are doing us a favor. IMPORTANT: If you decide to shop at Ross, make sure to hold onto your receipt TIGHTLY. If you try to return an item without a receipt, you'll only get store credit, or worse. Today, the lady ahead me, who tried to return a clearance purse, was offered 49 cents because she didn't have the receipt and that was the current price in their system. Not very often, but I have found shirts and shoes here I really liked at great prices. So, I decided not to give 1 star. You may also be able to find a great deal here one day if you can put up with the chaos and some rude employees. My Husband, myself and my 2 year old visited Bellingham last week. After having done a bit of shopping we needed to buy a small carry on suitcase before flying home the next day. First we stopped next door at Marshalls. My two year old was tired and pulling some classic toddler moves. You know, crying, screaming and turning into a marble statue when we tried to insert him into the cart. After some careful prodding of his limbs we got him in the cart, but it was a fight. We looked around Marshalls and decided to check out Ross next door. After fighting my kid for 15 minutes to get him in the Marshalls blue cart, I decided it best to keep him there and walk into the Ross. I mean, they have the same carts basically. They are even blue. We took 3 steps into the store when a young man yelled "STOP, thats a Marshalls cart". My Husband said " Yeah, so?" and this kid (childless I am sure) proceeded to tell us that we could not use a Marshalls cart because its a liability. WHAT???? That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. He was also very snarky about it, you could tell he was happy to have the opportunity to belittle someone that day. We turned around and walked right back to Marshalls and made our purchase. I understand that the preferred cart is your stores cart. But there is a way to approach a customer kindly and also consider what they are going through in that moment. read more

I was in Ross and was told the washrooms are now closed due to the homeless and drug addicts, and to go next door to Marshall's, disgusting They think they are the only store and town to have these people. It's not enough that they stand guard and monitor the bathroom, they can't handle their job. I have never seen anyone ever cleaning it! The staff is so rude that they don't want to be there, and have a real problem that the Canadians come across the border to shop there, do they not realize without the Canadians this store would not be in business, it is like a dump, Value Village is better organized than this Ross, I shop at Ross stores all over the US and nothing compares to this! Not a lot of selection but they had what I came for! I had been searching every Ross along I-5 for a lower back pressure relieving cushion for the car - a very specific one that I had seen awhile back. If you like a bargain.... and you don't mind chaos and long line ups than you may love this store. I literally could not get down the women's shoe isle because there were 20-30 pairs of shoes thrown in a pile at the front of the aisle! Probably some great finds there too. Not worth it for me. We got for our son (12 yo) Lucky brand jeans $14, Calvin Klein shirt $8 and two underarmour runners $30 each. We stood in line for 40 minutes Saturday night at 8 pm - line up was 30 people with 2 cashiers on! We actually left earlier when we saw the line up at 7 pm but returned an hour later because we thought the items were worth the wait. We still do. This place is like Winners on crack ! I love Ross ! Every time I am in the USA I make sure to check out The Ross Dress For Less. This location was a bit disorganized and messy. However it didn't stop me from finding some great items at unreal prices! Staff was pretty friendly, and although the line up to pay was rather long. It went by fairly quickly . Had it not been for the fact I needed to be in Sumas before 530, I may still be there. So many racks if clothing- you really need to have some time to invest. I ended up with 2 dresses, a shrug/sweater and a top all for only $36.00! They also had some some sheet sets and towels I would of bought, but I was already close to my 24 hour exemption limit and didn't want to push my luck. Already dreaming of my next visit ! read more

These guys do it right; open another half hour later after Bellis Fair closes at 9pm ;) Parking lot's usually quite busy here in this busy plaza. For the men's racks, it's actually tidier than the women's i'm sure, and with everything located on the right hand side, that works for me ;) the format's similar to what we have in Canada, Winner's, but prices better here. Some decent names brands like Calvin Klein & Kenneth Cole if you can find the right size. This store is a bit busier than Burlington's, and crowded too. read more

I tried to stop here for a final bit of shopping before heading back to Canada and it was a total joke. There were no carts at the front because they were all abandoned in the aisles. There was merchandise all over the floor and empty hangers everywhere. There were people trying on clothes in the aisles, I mean taking off their clothes and trying new ones on. We couldn't walk all the way down any of the aisles. I love Ross but would rather die than go back to this one. read more

The management here seems unorganized and lazy. One person on register when there was a 30 item return that was obviously complicated. The manager instead of opening her own register used the only other cashier and made her watch the entire thing without using it as a teaching moment. A complete waste of time, no communication to the three people in line behind me. Eventually after 10 minutes of waiting they finally opened two more registers. The manager ended up being my cashier and honestly she was rude, had an attitude which was shocking considering that I was overly understanding about having to wait for 10 mins when there are workings walking around putting go backs away. read more

I gotta tell ya, I had a great coupla hours shopping at Ross. Yeah, I know, it can be messy at times, not organized, but when it comes to finding some good bargains, you can't beat it. I've grown a bit heavy during the past year (hasn't everybody?) and my waist has expanded exponentially. . . .Had to look for a new belt, and some trousers to go with it! Also, a larger shirt, etc. Lots to choose from, so you gotta have persistence and patience. Also needed house slippers and found just the right ones at a great price. While checking out clothing, I found some kitchen items I have been looking for--a dish drain that sits neatly in the sink, but way too expensive on Amazon. Also spotted a neat slicing knife, a great frying pan, and a pack of dish towels. Terrific! My love partner found a great little coat to keep herself warm for me, too. Will come back, I am sure, particularly if I gain more weight. I may not have to wait all that long, though. read more

Having worked one time in retail clothing, I feel the need to tidy and organize the merchandise. This store drives me batty because it is in need of an update. The chaos comes from two sides: Customers who are careless and don't adhere to basic societal norms (throwing items on the ground and leaving carts in the middle of narrow aisles) AND a store that does not demonstrate self-pride and allows itself to fall into disarray. When customers walk into a clean, organized store, they tend to keep it that way. The Ross in Burlington is an example. Occasionally I find a top at a good price and I know when to come to avoid the crowds. read more

Two stars are for the crowd, not for the staff or prices They staff goes as fast as the can and are always busy cleaning up messes A lot of rude customers that don't pay attention in the store or the parking lot. Just yesterday I saw a woman and her two kids (in the store) throwing products on the floor that they didn't like and didn't even bother to pick it up when they got what they wanted. The parking lot isn't better all the customers are rushing out to their car and not paying attention to traffic! Before you cross the road, look around. If there is a worse store in Bellingham, I'm not aware of it. Dirty and unorganized with people wandering around looking like deer in headlights. The aisles are very narrow, and the chances of being hit by a shopping cart steered by a distracted shopper who then glares at YOU are high. My preschooler needed to use the bathroom, and it was absolutely disgusting. I only come here when I'm with someone else who insists, and I hope that won't be for a very long time again. This is your typical Ross...complete with a slightly messy cliental. That being said, I will focus on the store itself. It is always well-stocked, the staff is very helpful and efficient, despite being incredibly busy. The store is always in a state of disarray, but it's not dirty. You go to Ross for the deals. Prices are unbeatable as usual at a Ross. It's not just the clientele that makes this place almost impossible to shop at. Parking lot is too small, the store is too small, the place is clearly understaffed, ect. I spent 40 minutes in line just to buy a pair of kahki's for work (I hate kahkis). Now, the people who shop there are quite rude. I got bumped into countless times while in line, no "excuse me" was uttered once. So I did the right thing and shouldered them back every time. I would describe this place as the cheapest level of Marshalls or TJ mexx etc. Ross sells pretty much everything: smaller furniture, garden decor and tools, women, men and kid section, clothes, shoes , accessories, pets supplies, kitchenware, bathroom things, home decor, arts&crafts, books, toys, electronics, sports...yep everything. Their price is a fraction of what you would usually pay. I think they usually get their stock from the leftovers and end of season pieces from mainly department stores and few other brands. It is usually a war zone in there with things all over the place. I'm sure you will find a few treasures if you are willing to spend an hour digging around. It all depends on what you find at Ross, random brands at random times such as; Juicy, Nike, penguin, BCBG, Michael korr bags, Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo, Nautica, Gucci & Ray Band & Mui mui sunglasses, swarovski accessories, Betsy Johnson watches& bags, converse just to name a few. All Ross' are a bit run down but what do you expect when they sell pants for 5$ on clearance etc. Do expect to have longer than usual lineups for change rooms and cashiers on the weekends because who doesn't like good deals???!! If you dont want to line up to try sth on, wear a tank amd leggings and try them outside!! Staff are not as attentative as it is a huge store and they are usually running around tidying and restocking etc. Parking is available at the plaza. read more

After sorting and picking through mounds of unorganized clothes, shoes, purses, etc, there are definitely some great finds! I was able to get 4 pairs of designer shoes including Nike, and Nine West for like $70. I couldn't believe it. I even picked up the cutest Saks purse for pretty much $20. If you are on a budget, have lots of time for shopping and have plenty of patience, then this is the store for you! :-D read more

This was the first time in years I have gone into this store. If I never go in again, it would be to soon! This store is an absolute dump!!! The floors are filthy, the staff are rude, and I double dog dare you to try and walk down an isle without tripping or stepping over something. Every isle has items thrown down off the shelves and onto the floor. I attempted to use the rest room, walked in only to find the toilet sprayed with urine. Immediately walked out and went into second bathroom, only to find poop covered toilet paper on the floor. I let a staff person (who was standing right outside of the restrooms) know about the mess in both bathrooms and was met with the sarcastic response "yea, I'll let someone know". I actualy hung out an additional 10 minutes and guess what..... she never called anyone to come clean them. Clean up your act Ross! Take a little pride in your store. Perhaps hire a manager who cares about the appearence of the store and the customer's shopping experience! read more

I used to shop every couple of months. But I haven't shopped at that particular location for at least a year due to poor customer service and management. The store front manager was giving me attitude for not complying with their payment procedures of no more than two transactions per cashier. This manager who appears to be a middle-age woman only told us that I was wrong but didn't attempt to offer any constructive solutions to solve the existing problem. This kind of leadership and customer service is one of worst that I have observed in the shopping experience. As a manager, she should be obligated to set a good example for her subordinates of what desirable performance is required for the job. I know this place is not the most desirable place for youth to begin their first jobs, but each employee deserves to be treated respectfully regardless how they familiar he or she is with the duties of their position. If you want to and enjoy seeing youths getting lectured by managers lecturing the youths, then shop there then. read more
