I've been here three times for their pharmacy.All three times there's been some kind of "Miscommunication". This time, the lady told me it would be 30min to get my medication refilled. After 40 minutes I approach her again, but this time she says "Your medication isn't available for refill. You need to get your doctor to approve it" Ok, so were you planning on having me wait here all damn night before you tell me, which you could have told me this 40min ago when I spoke to you the FIRST time? I would have given this 0 stars if it let me. The cashier woman who was working was extremely rude Younger early 20's Hispanic girl with short hair was very unpleasant. Should not be working in customer service. Completely passive aggressive. However the old gentleman helps with out bottle return and was talking to us was extreme nice and helpful. read more

I go to this one occasionally, the staff seem a bit stiff but usually not a big deal. The last time I went to make a return I encountered a miserable "Sandy". She did my return but not without a noticeable grumpiness and refused to give me back my receipt saying "nothing else is on there". The pharmacy here is great. We've never had a problem with miscommunications and the staff is always really friendly and helpful. The store itself is clean and bright and is great for picking up drugstore items and select/basic grocery items (milk, etc) if you don't want to walk a few feet over to Safeway. You'll pay for the convenience, though...their prices are pretty high. They do have a couple seasonal aisles that are fun to browse if you're waiting for your prescription, and the "As Seen on TV" section is totally entertaining. Astrologically: Well everyone needs the basics, duh. But Leo will like all the mirrors in the cosmetics section and Virgo will appreciate the brightness of the place even at 2 AM. read more

I was told a prescription would be ready at 1 PM. I show up at 5 PM, and clerk 1 checks with clerk 2 and I am told they are backed up and it will take 45 more minutes. Me: "So if I come back in 45 minutes, it'll be ready?" Clerk 1: "I don't know I don't even work here. I'd say one and a half hours." I come back at 10 PM, and I am told sorry it'll be an hour and a half... If I could give negative stars, I would. read more

Saw an employee walking out from the back room and politely asked her where the Qtips were? She replied with an annoyed tone that it was in the baby aisle as she stormed off. My 23 yr old daughter came to me saying a bitchy employee rolled her eyes when my daughter asked where the hand held calculators were. Guess what?! Same employee. I complained to another employee and she said "oh it's because she is a manager." Really? That gave her a right to be rude? I was so very annoyed. I got to the register and the nice cashier that is always there knew I was pissed. By this time that "manager" tried to act nice by saying oh did you find the dryer?! This place is bad. I've been there twice now, and the staff are SO rude and make you feel like you are doing something wrong just by being there. The first time, I noticed that my name was spelled wrong on my prescription, to which the woman helping me quickly quipped, "It doesn't matter!" Okay... The second time, I was treated like a nuisance just because I was confused about something with my refill. It made me so angry because it is unnecessary, unprofessional and it was upsetting to be treated so rudely when I am already dealing with a lot going on in my life. Worst service ever. I don't understand why they can't just staff the pharmacy more efficiently. It seems no matter what time of day or night we stop in here there is a long line at both the drop off and the pick up points. This may also be why they tend to ignore prescriptions that are called in by the doctor's office and wait till you are there for pick to let you know that your medication is not in stock. This Rite Aid is huge. I almost had to stop and check if I'd wandered into a Walmart or something. Since when does Rite Aid sell shoes? And clothes? And pet supplies? And electronics? And more colors of nail polish than God himself would ever need? Apparently they do sell all this and more. The employees and friendly and knowledgeable so that's always good. The place is clean and the aisles are well spaced and as previously mentioned they have pretty much everything. I'm knocking off a star though for the mislabeled aisles. I don't know if they were reorganizing but the signs were wrong. I went down the cold medicine aisle and found myself staring at a wall of condoms. I go down the condom aisle and there's..dish soap? The employees were able to help me find the cold medication finally. It was in the "Snacks" aisle. Please fix your signs or post a notice you're fixing stuff. read more

When I went, there was an employee (male, latinx, 5'1") he kicked out a homeless man, claiming that he was a thief. The homeless man only wanted to deposit empty water bottles that he had collected. I so badly wanted to confront the employee but I couldn't as I am a minor, and feared he wouldn't take me seriously. I understand times are hard and things are frustrating but that was no excuse to dehumanize the homeless man. Adding on, I would also like to hilight that the employee wasn't wearing a mask. Never have I seen such a display of unprofessionalism. This needs to be taken care of. read more

I have no idea how Rite Aid stays in business: Every time I've ever been in there only one person is working the cash register and doesn't know what they are doing and literally takes minutes to check out every customer. I once had the checker wait for a huge line before calling for back up and nobody came and she didn't bother trying again. They will take from checking out, even when there is a line and they are the only checker, to talk to another employee coming back from break with a Starbucks for the checker and ask how the experience of buying it went. They are the only store in the universe who can't look up transactions through their rewards card or a debit/card information when a receipt is not present for a return. They have "sale prices" below certain items that aren't actually on sale. When you go to check they tell you it's just discounted if you have enough "points" on their reward card. A system which is a complete mystery. They stubbornly defend their archaic policies with a stubborn indifference that would make any bureaucrat proud. read more

The pharmacy staff was so wonderful on a recent visit. We needed an antibiotic for our daughter and every other pharmacy was closed. They under promised and over delivered, having the prescription done in 30 minutes so my husband was able to get home and give my daughter her first dose before she went to sleep. For some reason, I just am not a huge fan of Rite Aid stores... no specific reason, it's just not a "warm fuzzy atmosphere" and it just never seems to have any "Pizazz". I don't like the way the store is laid out, it just seems confusing to find whatever it is I'm looking for and there have been times when it just doesn't make sense where things are located. Their pharmacy is a complete and utter joke!!!! Today was the second time I had to take my prescription and have it filled somewhere else!!! They are extremely unhelpful and act as if you are a bother when trying to get assistance. Have been using this pharmacy for a while but recently have decided it's time for a change. The last time I went to get prescriptions, the young woman said there was a problem with my insurance and they'd have to wait until Monday to resolve it. Someone else fixed the problem easily Monday. When I went back to get my prescription I thought one of them was a higher milligram then I had taken in the past. The woman loudly informed me that I must be thinking of this other medication I take. There is no privacy at this place. The people at the next window and in line behind me now know my birthdate and what prescriptions I take. Also, they didn't check my ID!!! Gave me my prescriptions based off of birthdate alone. I'm looking for a new pharmacy and I suggest you do too!! read more

This has the worst pharmacy. The service is horrible. It makes my husband angry every time we try to fill a prescription. We end up having to drive clear across town to esplanade to that rite aid. Today, I asked him to give it another try. He waited at the drop off window for 5 min. There was no one in the pick up line, but 5 employees behind the counter. No one said "be right with you" or acknowledged he was waiting. Then people got in pick up line and they finally got help, but he was still ignored. He came out fuming! I learned this weekend that this is the only Rite-Aid that is open 24hrs which also includes their pharmacy. Its nice when you're seen at the urgent care across the street and instructed to start your meds immediately. It was a 2 hour wait and even when I arrived at 2hr, my prescription wasn't even filled. They hadn't even started on it and made it sound like they were doing me a huge favor by filling it then and there. Besides that, I was just glad that they were open to fill my prescription. The Pharmacy is awful I used to go pick up my grandpa's medication & mine here and the pharmacist and technicians were all snarky and rude. They are so slow at they're job, I hear them talking down about there other coworkers while on the job. So unprofessional and makes us customers feel uncomfortable. They always acted uncomfortable around me and one time a pharmacist handed my prescription to me like I was diseased & didn't want to come near me. This pharmacy is pathetically slow at filling prescriptions! I was seen at the urgent care, at which time a prescription was electronically sent to this location. I waited half an hour before going to pick up to allow them time to fill it. I show up, and they tell me it will be another 45 minutes! Their lobby was empty, no one else in sight waiting to pick anything up besides myself. They have zero sense of urgency, or have any understanding the seriousness of some illnesses and the importance of starting meds in a timely manner. If you're interested in customer service stay far away from this place! I'd called my prescription in the night before and was told it would be available by 2:00 PM the next day. So I arrived at 7:00 PM the next night and gave my name & DOB at the pickup window. I was then informed it would be an hour and a half. Incredulous, I asked Mr "Hey Check Out My Arm Tats" why there would be a wait since I called it in the previous day. I could barely understand his mumbled reply of, "I dunno what happened." I emphasized the fact that I'd been told it would be ready by 2:00 that day which earned me a "Go ahead and mess with me man" look from tat boy who shrugged and said,"They just didn't fill it." Again frustrated. I call and ask for a medication to be refilled, told that it would be filled by 8:00 PM. 8:00 PM comes, no calls, no emails, etc. that it's ready. The next day at 2:00 PM, having called for the refill at 4:00 PM the day before, the medication is still in the queue. The customer service in the pharmacy is horrible and marginal at best in the store. I am surprised they don't attempt to make an effort when they are surrounded by numerous stores with pharmacies such as Safeway, Target, Walgreens, Fredmeyer's, etc. Time to move my last prescription away from this store. They get one star for being open 24hrs. I moved from the east coast and lived CVS pharmacy but they are not out here. Riteaid looked like a good option but I was wrong. The pharmacy staff are rude as hell. They treat people like they are a nuisance. They sigh and roll their eyes if you ask questions and generally do a crap slap dash job. They can not seem to give an accurate estimate on time to fill scrips either. An hour could mean 15 minutes or the next day. The cashiers up front are no better. I have my card on an app on my phone. Sometimes the barcode on the phone do not scan but anywhere else they type in the number. At this store they don't bother. One cashier told me to bring the actual card next time. The store is nice and clean but the staff is awful. I have worked in customer service for 29yrs and I would have been mortified to treat people as these people do. And no Riteaid I will not call. If the company has done nothing about this issue after so many complaints you never will. read more

Renewed my prescription over the phone on Tuesday night and scheduled a Wednesday morning pickup. Couldn't get out there until Thursday an found out it wasn't ready yet. UNACCEPTABLE!!! This place has the absolute worst pharmacy I have ever been to! It's close to my house and I use rite aid to fill my prescription. Every single time I've been here it is a nightmare. Terrible customer service and there is usually at least 6 people working behind the counter. I understand it can get very busy here, but how hard is it to fill a prescription? Worst Rite Aid ever!! Twice now my Dr has electronically sent over prescriptions for me. Both times I arrived to pick up 6 hrs later and they told me that I still have to wait! I was informed that even though my Dr sends them, the prescriptions will not be started until I arrive!! What is the point of the Dr sending them?!? This time I waited in a line of 12 people with one checker for over 20 mins and then was told because they now knew I was here, they would start making them and to wait another 20 mins. Ridiculous!!! Wow, extremely disappointed. I started using their pharmacy as I live so close and this Rite Aid is so convenient for me. I've been using this particular pharmacy for about a year and it has gone downhill. I realize medications take time, my doctor called in my prescription at about 2pm, so I figured I'd stop by after my dinner to pick it up. I am there at 7pm and the gal says "it's going to be about 45 minutes." That is totally unacceptable and NOT the first time a situation like this has happened, also I was the only person there! I asked her what was the issue if my doctor called this in 5 hours ago and she just shrugged as if it wasn't her problem. It's too bad some pharmacies have such poor customer service.
