Welcome to the area, Redstraw! I am so excited to have a good boba spot nearby. The service was 5/5. The women were so kind and helpful! I honestly really enjoyed my Redstraw Milk Tea, I was glad it wasn't too sweet even with the honey boba added and it didn't taste powdery in any way! My partner got a Toxic Garden and loved it! His mother got the Peach Bellini with boba and had no complaints! She said it was tasty. I wouldn't rate the drinks 5/5, more so 4/5, but the experience up'd the rating. I would agree that there isn't a whole lot of seating in the inside. I could see that being an issue in the wintertime, but realistically speaking, not all boba spots have tons of seating so this didn't really bother me! The boba was a little pricey but the size was decent. I'd rather pay a little extra for good boba, which has been hard to find within 15 mins of this spot! No complaints here. Can't wait to visit again.

I'm always on the hunt to try new bubble tea shops, so I was pretty excited when I found out that Redstraw was opening on my side of town. We went during their opening week and I was surprised there weren't more people in the shop. They have a clean and minimal aesthetic, with just a couple of tables of seating. Their menu is quite vast but with just a few non-caffeinated options, which is what I was interested in ordering this time. I opted for the New Zealand Mango Mojito. It was a refreshing blend of fruit juices with a hint of tea. Next time I'll try a milk tea or one of the regular teas.

The newly opened Redstraw in Reed's Crossing town center offers a nice, clean place to cool down and enjoy freshly brewed teas and drinks. The service was friendly, allowing customers to smell the tea leaves to help with choosing their order. The workers were also working quickly and efficiently while making the drinks. I was not a fan of the layout of the establishment. The POS was located at the back of the establishment, opposite of the entrance. This meant you had to walk through other customers already sitting down or waiting for their drink order. The walkway to get to the POS was also slightly narrow, so I can foresee it could become crowded easily. The menus were also placed along the wall where the walkway was so it did not seem like an ideal place to hang the menus up. There were also limited seats inside and only two tables due to the smaller space. The MML drink consisted of whisked matcha, milk, and mashed mangos. I liked how the mangos were not completely puréed so it added some texture to the drink. We wanted to order the rising phoenix oolong with sea salt cream but they said it was unavailable at that time. The milk tea version was still smooth and fragrant but I felt like the honey boba toppings were slightly lacking.

Very high quality ingredients for a bubble tea shop, using fresh fruit, alternative milk options and freshly brewed tea. I had the Island Glow, which was creamy, refreshing and I look forward to having it again. The service was friendly and knowledgeable on all the drinks. There are many more options than the website so make sure you take a look at the boards when you go. These aren't the artificial sugar bombs that you get at some boba places. I wish the sizes were more consistent though since some of the drinks only came in the smaller size but cost as much as the larger drinks. I will definitely be back though for the high quality drinks.

So glad another location of one of my favorite boba spots opened up! This location has a much larger menu than the location I usually go to, so I was really pumped about that. It's a shame it's not closer to where I live, but I'll gladly make the drive out there for the fantastic drinks. One of my favorite parts about Red Straw is their fresh fruit. It takes the drinks up to the next level. So much better than just an artificial syrup!

Nice variety of drinks, simple and clean vibes inside, good sugar/sweetness adjustments to all the drinks. Every drink I've tried have all been tasty, too! Solid option for a refreshing drink/dessert-type drinks.

First let me start by saying I'm so excited we have a place so close to home now and welcome to the Reedsville Crossing neighborhood! Love the variety of drink choices available. I tried the Thai Sea Salt Cream with boba. My son love his Taro sea salt smoothie. They take their time to curate the perfect drink so be patient with a new business and how busy they get. We weren't sure where to stand or order because there is no order here or pick up here sign. When people are standing around it's hard to tell. There are a few seats inside, hopefully they will have more as well as some outdoor seating would be great.

The new red straw location in Reeds Crossing is in a nice area. Unfortunately, their drinks did not hit as much as they look like they would. We ordered the taro and matcha smoothies. The taro tasted like straight powder, which was expected. Unfortunately the matcha was similar. Boba was an extra $1 and was not worth it seeing as each drink was already $8.

    Osmanthus Oolong with Aloe

I could tell the aesthetics would be cute just from seeing the exterior signage at this location so I just had to stop in while I was exploring all the new shops in Reeds Crossing. I went with the Osmanthus Oolong with Aloe which was freshly brewed after I ordered. The taste was nice and aloe refreshing, I did have to drink it slow as there was quite a bit of tea leaves that snuck their way into the drink. Usually not a problem, they only were noticeable because I kept getting them as I was trying to get the aloe at the bottom. Next time I stop in I will try something different on the menu, there were definitely plenty of options!

Nice new place. Cute decor. Most importantly, the boba is good Signature milk tea was solid. Can't wait to come back and try the other drinks.

I have been looking for a decent breakfast/brunch place close by but so far no luck there. I am still recovering from renal failure so my mobility is severely limited. I travel mostly at the pleasure of the Veterans Transportation Service or Trimet Lyft. Today's Dr appointment finished up sooner than expected so I had some time to kill before the van returned to take me home. So I fired up my tablet and took a look on Yelp to see if there was anything of interest close by. Enter Insomnia Coffee. Lots of positive reviews. Right around the corner. So... off I go. I an a US Navy brownwater sailor. We drink coffee that tastes like coffee. No additives. None. Not even cream or (gasp) sugar. So when I told the barista [HA! The person who pours coffee into a cup] that i wanted a cup of coffee black I got this sort of deer in the headlights look. What? ...I'm sure she was thinking... no Madagascar cinnamon? no foaming goop? no stale crouton crumbs? no pumpkin pie spice? Ummmm seriously? People want their coffee to taste like pumpkin? Yikes. No Miss... just a cuppa Joe. Just like my first heart throb, Anna Mae Bullock....strong and black. And I have to say, insomnia delivered. Not a bad cup of coffee at all. Although I didn't really want to hang out there since it appeared that I had zero in common with anyone I saw there... hogging the comfortable looking chairs. So I had it in a paper cup, to go. Now I have a "thing" about drinking coffee from a large, ceramic mug.... I loathe tasting paper in my coffee and yes I can tell it's in a paper cup even blindfolded. but I digress. They did have a whole display area of decadent looking pastries and not the tiny, overpriced, bogus looking stuff you see at Starbucks. Not that i would ever go into a Starbucks even to use the rest room. They had several pies that made my mouth water and some gooey breakfast glazed things that would have seriously spiked my glucose. so I reluctantly passed. Perhaps next time :)
