I moved my prescriptions out of there but had to go pick up a prescription for my wife. I still go there, after all. The store is wonderful, and the people are amazing if you stay away from the pharmacy, that is. As I left the house, my wife gave me her new insurance card and asked to see if I could get a better price than the "GoodRx" price. When I got to the Pharmacy, I held my breath, as the "aged 3 foot abusive imp" was behind the counter. After insinuating I was stupid for waiting for her to call me over, I took more of her sarcastic abuse while she was checking the new insurance cost vs the GoodRx. Thankfully, I just smiled, tried to be pleasant, got my wife's prescription, and got out of there with just a fraction of the abuse I got last time. I just don't understand how anyone could be so unhappy. Wow, how could anyone tolerate this bridge troll time and time again? Hopefully it'll be a good long time before I have to face her again. I will still go back to the store for the nutraceuticals, cards, etc..., but hope my wife will get her own prescriptions from now on.... read more

For the past few years, I have been in the Meredith area intermittently, but regularly and don't usually use Rite Aid Pharmacies since there are none conveniently located near my home in MA. I've been in this one for other needs, but not the pharmacy. I didn't realize, it's a relatively a new location. The store is bright and clean, well-stocked and parking is always available. Yesterday, I had emergency prescriptions for medications that needed to be filled and started ASAP and this Rite Aid was the closest. The scripts were called in. A number of calls to the pharmacy to inquire about status went unanswered. So, a few hours later, I loaded my elderly, Alzheimer Mom (whom I care for PT) into the car and off we went. When we entered the store, I was dismayed to see a line of about a dozen plus waiting patrons for the pharmacy. The pharmacy was victim to the typical Covid situation: Short staffing with minimal employees: 2 pharmacists and two at the register counter, all working diligently non-stop. The line moved quickly, much to my relief for the sake of my Mom's quick impatience and curious stimulation of all the bright colorful items in the aisles fueling the want to wander! The older gentleman before me was next: he was told his medication was not ready and his name would be called as soon as it was available after a "short" wait. As soon as he walked the short distance to the chairs, the pharmacist himself called out his name, pleasantly surprising the gentlemen with a tease giving himself credit as "a fast pill counter." He elicited a few much needed chuckles from me and a few others in line. He spoke to him for a few minutes and sent him on his happy way! I was thrilled for this man. Evidently the pharmacist overheard the conversation and filled the prescription immediately and so quickly! Me next: Since there were three medications, it would be a minimum of a 20 minute wait. No problem, I would wander the store with my Mom and let her pick a treat for a snack. We toddled down towards the front of the store and looked at a few things along the way. I was quite shocked to hear my name called over the loudspeaker. The time it took us from and back to the pharmacy was longer than this lovely man took to count my pills x 3!! He truly is a fast one and is very much on the ball in his observance. I did not get his name, but the labels identified: RPH NNN. He is a handsome, dark-haired sweetheart of a young man who truly puts forth his efforts with understanding and kindness in empathy for the reason "medical patients" are there in need of a pharmacy every day. Not only did he work to make my wait time nonexistent, he did his utmost best to make my day an easier one. That goes a long way. Even with the instruction sheets included with the medications, he took the time to come to the register and patiently inform me of how to take the medications and the contraindications and symptoms that might occur with interaction to other medications already being taken, which he saw listed. This was crucial because the new meds can be a harsh combination for the effectiveness necessary. And he advised what to do if experienced. Very important knowledge to know what to expect since important drug interactions are unknown to us laymen pill takers (sucks to get old, doesn't it? ugh :-/). Whomever said life gets easier as we get older, must not have lived long enough! HA! But if it takes whatever it takes as far as ensuring our longevity to enjoy it, this pharmacy makes it worthwhile in its efforts for our efforts, for sure! These Covid times have taken a lot from our society. Temporary and unexpected closings in small business or the inconveniences that short staffing cause, are unpleasant hiccups happening much too commonly. Along with the loss of positive interaction towards and from the general public while living the stress. But today's experience was nothing less than amazingly awesome!! Thank you to the Rite Aid Pharmacy, Meredith NH for working so hard and so diligently and so pleasantly to keep everything running so smoothly. It's not easy to work with the public all day, every day. A special thanks and appreciation to the Super Star - Super Speed Pharmacist who goes the extra mile and then some!
