The store is small but has the basics -pharmacy in the back - health and beauty aids -snacks -drinks -greeting cards -free coffee -tv -chairs to wait for your prescription My order was prepared very quickly that I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly. He informed me that they drop off and pick up prescriptions which is great especially for those that don't drive plus the elderly and disabled. This would have been great when I was home with an infant. My plan forces me to do mail order as much as possible but when I need something asap I will definitely stop here.

They made it simple, quick, and incredibly pleasant. I hardly ever go out of my way to bother reviewing places, but the staff and business deserve the extra effort without a doubt as they gave their best effort to me. The atmosphere is humble and welcoming with a staff that makes the impression your a part of a family. Unlike the clinical feel of a cvs or rite aid, this place makes you feel like a person rather than a number.

If you, like me, are all stuffed-up and need something over-the-counter, definitely head on down to the Christian St. Pharmacy. The gentleman who works there is knowledgeable and super-helpful. When was the last time - at any business - someone told you, "This one works the best and is also the cheapest"? I also appreciated that he checked to make sure I don't have any medical conditions that could cause complications before selling me the decongestant. Apparently they also sell SEPTA passes and tokens (which is nice since the 17 stops right nearby). It definitely wasn't like your typical pharmacy experience - the pharmacist wrote my insurance information down on the back of a piece of paper. When I went to pick up my prescriptions, I pulled out a credit card to pay and the woman checking me out looked at me funnily. She turned to the pharmacist and said, "Doc, can we swipe her card?" He said yes. I asked whether they typically don't take credit cards and she said, "It depends." Anyway, the experience was pleasant and they had the medications I needed.

Prior to moving into her condo mother spent a year at an assisted living facility to heal up from a badly broken ankle. During this time she got used to having her medication doled out by the staff there. Moving her into her own condo presented a few challenges - simplifying her medication was one of them as the nurses aide service that we contracted with was not able to assist with this due to liability issues. The pharmacy offered to have their assistant place my mother's medications in pill boxes (the four time a day, seven day a week type) which allowed her to easily take the prescribed medication at the correct time and quantity. With my mother's health now deteriorating she recently returned to the walker. She was upset about not being able to carry beverages to her bedside from the kitchen. My brother went down to the Philadelphian Pharmacy where the staff equipped a small basket with two drink holders - how perfect! The also deliver within the building and probably nearby as well. Definitely a great resource for the aging and infirm!
