This is my second visit in a week. The first visit I came in to but my son some medicine for his flu symptoms. There was no anti nausea medicine to be found in the store. I asked the pharmacist who said that if it's not in the shelf they're sold out. I visited with another son to pick up toiletries and I found even more bare shelves. No soap, deodorant or black hair care products were on the shelves. This store is not well-stocked or managed. I wonder if they're closing for good soon as many other chains are across Maryland. read more

This store is in a convenient location in the middle of an Owings Mills neighborhood. I appreciate the self checkout, bright lights and appropriately labeled aisles. On my latest trip, I had a question about an over the counter medication and the pharmacist was helpful and addressed all my questions. For some reason, there was a line at checkout but every self checkout was open so I bypassed the regular line and used self checkout. It's simple and allows you to get out quickly. read more

This pharmacy lacks customer service skills!!! I will definitely find another place to conduct business in the future. When I initially called to ask about a product the male who answered the phone was so hurried I asked would he like me to call back when he had more time. He said no and took my information. When I mentioned I was paying out of pocket he questioned really. A few hours later, I wasn't dressed to go in store so I opted for curbside, I was placed on hold so long I went inside. Four people behind the window and not one was on a call. The person who "helped" me stated, "date of birth." I said, "hello" and then offered my PII. She rushed through a mandatory flu shot appointment comment and said have a nice day in the same sad tone and demeanor as she "greeted" me. I'm not even under the weather sick!! One drive thru line has been out of order for 2 years. Once I got 2 different dosages in one prescription bottle. This is dangerous!! Shelves are empty. Pharmacy sucks. High Notes: New branding on the exterior and some minor updates on the inside. Greeting card section had much to offer. Great gift card mall as well. Cold drinks, snacks, grab and go food was available and well stocked. Self check out is available and there were 2 kiosks for that and also a cashier working. I have been a customer with Rite Aid at this location on Lakeside Blvd. Owings Mills for 28 yrs. And I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior. Not only did they hang up on me, but when I called back....I can hear the gentleman in the background singing "call back another day" and then hearing laughter from the other staff. Unbelievable!!!!! I will definitely be changing Pharmacies!!! Management needs to make changes. I will say that in favor of the young lady Destiny that answered the phone was helpful. read more

Very poor customer service in the store. This includes the store manager and others. We expect and want to receive friendly and respectful customer service in a reasonable time. That has not happened. Here's one example, the other would be too long to write. Called corporate customer service about a customer service problem at the store. Requested management above the store manager follow-up with us. That did not happen. Instead, the store manager only leaves us a voicemail message stating that "they'll try to do better" ... also, corporate stated we'd get $5. in Bonus Rewards added to our account ... it was to be added during the call and would available the next day ... we checked our account on-line and no $5. got added! Getting an apology up front seems to be a difficult thing for the store to do, including the store manager. Following up with corporate about poor store customer service is a waste of time. It's no wonder Rite Aid had to file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy. Who wants to shop at a business that does not put customer service at the top of its priorities. read more

I bought Nizarol shampoo from this Rite Aid. The shampoo cost $25. When I opened the box, the shampoo had been used and it has hair on the bottle. This means someone used and returned and the store did not check it and just put it back on the shelf. This was disgusting and unsanitary. read more

The pharmacy in this place is horrible. Every time I visit this location I instantly get irritated. They are always getting smart and the lies. I was in there today and was told I had to wait hours before I can pick up my Rx. Then I told them that my Rx was sent over by the Dr. Office and the 1st person I talked to said it would be a few minutes. Ash going say he didn't know that it was sent over by the Dr. and it will be filled right away. I explained that it should not matter how you received the Rx. This is just crazy. I shouldn't have been surprised at the poor quality customer service given it's a large chain pharmacy. If I had been smarter, I would have had the doctor send the Rx to Costco. The pharmacy technician was rude and unwilling to simply check their system to confirm I was a prior patient. The wait time was reasonable once the pharmacist actually began to fill the prescription. They never have your prescription ready! They tell you to sit in the pharmacy waiting area, which is filthy! The Yung lady continue to stock shelf's instead of notifying supervisor of my complaint of dirty tissues under the chairs! This put people at risk of colds & flu! Grateful to have a 24 hr pharmacy close by...but LORD I think all of Owings Mills was there this night. I think there was 2 people working in the entire store, I get it, late hours, not much traffic, not true there was so many folks waiting for prescriptions with one pharmacist taking orders, preparing orders and then attending to customers for pick up. Horrible. I felt bad for him. I'll update my review once and if i ever decide to go back to this location. I don't think i plan to anytime soon. read more

Worst pharmacy EVER... I have been only twice and I will never return. This last time I waited 1 hr there were 4ppl I'm front of me.. When I got up to the counter my prescription wasn't done. The tech told me I needed to come back, I refused and asked why I should come back after waiting an hr when she could fill it now. She started to fill the prescription and then I had a verbal altercation with the heifer in line behind me because she called me selfish.... Needless to say... I love this RiteAid Bc: Pros: 1. I always score major deals here on candy and gum ect. I have a super sweet tooth so this is perfect for me. 2. The friendly staff makes my trips here enjoyable! This location has the most unprofessional pharmacists and pharmacists assistants. These people have no customers service skills and are very abrupt and down right rude.I I have used this location for 10 years or more because it is a convenient location. I will be moving all of my family prescription needs to another pharmacy. The drive up service takes forever to respond, phone calls are ignored! I left my home to check on a prescription for my husband who was oy allowed to be discharged if the medication the Dr. ordered was available, knowing their lousy track record of having some medication available, but don't tell you until you inquire about it, I went into check the prescription order. Inly then was I informed that the prescription was not covered by my insurance! The doctor received no information once the script was sent to the pharmacy. There were three pharmacists on duty and three techs No one answered when the nurse called from the hospital and no one answered my calls either! I would give this place a ZERO!!! read more

This Rite Aid should be shut down or they need to clear house and hire a new set of management. This is the second month in a row where my prescription was "not available" but they never called and just assumed I could wait the three days for a refill. Each time, I have had to call and I've been placed on hold for a minimum of 5 minutes.... I'm currently going on 11 minutes now. What type of healthcare professionals assume folks can just wait for prescriptions. They also never fill my prescriptions within the time scheduled via their app - they only do it once I call and act like it is such an inconvenience to them. The bathrooms in this place are flithy. Went in to buy a magazine and some B.C Powders. This location had what I needed and as always the service was fair. But I have been to this location during peak hours and will say that this location gets extremely busy. To prevent getting caught up in the rush, especially if you're using the pharmacy, visit during the week before 7:00am or from 11:00-3:00. If you can't make that time come after 9:00PM. I would leave the weekend alone altogether. Also verify that they honor coupons for medication before visiting by calling. I was told my inhaler would be 50% off but they wouldn't honor. Possible the worst as far as pharmacy "service". Prescriptions have lately taken hours to fill often going in to the next day. I'm convinced they only started my prescription order because I called. The drive thru either takes so long that I have actually parked and gone in to complete a drive thru order or the last 2 times they just never answered the call button. So again it defeats the purpose of having a drive through. I am going to follow this up with a complaint on the website because unfortunately this is the closest rite aid for the busiest most densely populated area of owings mills. This used to be my go to store but tonight was the last straw! Im just grabbing items that I need, then BANG! A loud sound from behind me so I go to turn and seen what fell and another loud crash followed! I walk toward the isle and see the woman that works in the store dropping refill bins, that carry the products, onto the loud flooring purposely!!! I said out loud, "why is she dropping that and catching shoppers off guard in the store?" She continued, I had to leave before I said something inappropriately. I get to the counter and ask the young lady ringing my goods to validate if she was the manager. She replied, yes. I said "well what's her issue with dropping the containers on the floor like the store is empty." She shrugged and said, "I'm not sure." I continue to thank her for her help and to have a nice evening but before I could get it out, the same manager comes and interrupts our chat! Fuxk it! Seems a little tight, but it is clean, compact and has a lot of what most people may need. Like most Rite Aids, just compact.

I am so disappointed in the Rite Aid! There are no other 24 hour pharmacy's in the are so you are forced to deal with the horrible customer service. I have young children and need to be able to get in and out any all hours. I pulled up to the drive thru window and hit the call button. Someone came in screen but moved out of camera view. So I was just looking at the wall of medicines. When I hit the button a THIRD time someone walked by said we will be with you and turned the camera off. I'm still waiting in line while typing this just to drop of a prescription. I hope another 24hr pharmacy moves into the area and actually care about customer service. read more

This is my neighborhood Rite Aid. I typically visit maybe once or twice per month for the pharmacy and my favorite shampoo. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick in the store. I would recommend going in the store for the pharmacy because the drive through service time is hit (REALLY quick) or miss (REAAAAALLLYYY slow). The store is clean and they always have what I need stocked. Oh...and they have nice discounts/offers for their rewards program. Extra points for being open 24 hrs... this is the only place in the neighborhood that has these hours. You never realize how wonderful that is until you have an allergy attack late at night and need something to help you out! read more

I am not one to normally complain on social media, but today I had an appalling experience with this store's pharmacist. Today, I called this pharmacy concerning a prescription that I needed filled. For over three hours I called, and each call ended abruptly with the call being immediately picked up... and hung up upon. So, I did what anyone else would do, I drove down and walked in to ask the whereabouts of my prescription. I was met by the pharmacist, who informed me that I needed to contact other Rite Aids to secure my prescription because this particular pharmacy was out of it. So I tried.. and I tried... and I tried... to no success. After calling multiple Rite Aids (13 to be exact), I returned to the Owings Mills pharmacy to ask in desperation for the pharmacist's assistance. The pharmacist rudely met with me and treated me as a child, informing me that the fault was my own and that I should have used a different approach when conversing with other pharmacies. In an act of desperation, I looked him in the eyes and asked for his genuine help, in response I got this answer, "I have not answered the phone in 4 hours and you think I have the time to help you with your prescription." In the blame, he stated that it was my fault I could not get the prescription filled, and that if I only followed his direct orders I could have gotten it filled already. So, in a world of healthcare confusion, I was the player at fault, not him. But is that true? I personally think the pharmacist that blames patients, hangs up on calls, and ignores pleas for help should be the one who should be to blame. read more

I was charged $400 for meds that cost $200. So I could only afford half of the meds. I paid $200. When I realized I could have gotten ALL the meds for $200 I called back to the store and pharmacist told me to just come back and the charges would be reversed. When I got there they made me wait until they serviced everyone else. When I was finally serviced I was refused a cash refund or gift card refund even though I was using all of the refund to purchase the meds. It was a humiliating 2+ hour experience. I left with the meds I needed but they made me leave my credit card at the store. At the end of the day the meds were for my kids who were miserable so I left the card with them so that I could leave with the meds. I definitely felt taken advantage of, the entire situation could have been avoided if I was just informed from the start that I was eligible for the discount. After patiently waiting 10 minutes and being ignored as the ONLY person in line, the pharmacist finally acknowledged my presence only to abruptly and rudely tell me he could not fill the prescription bcuz it was incorrectly written. While that was annoying to hear it was the utter dismissiveness and rudeness after pretending not to see me for 10 minutes that got under my skin. On multiple occasions, I have tried to pick up prescriptions only to be given some excuse about why my meds aren't in yet. I'll be told to come back on some specific date, and that the meds will definitely be in then. And yet again, I go in and hear more excuses. The pharmacy here is awful. I waited almost 2 hours for a prescription that didn't need to be "filled", only taken off the shelf. First off, the guy copied my insurance information down and then proceeded to tell me that it was wrong and it was denied. Then it was the generic, which I did not want. The pharmacist proceeds to tell me, "that's not what the prescription says". The slip clearly had the brand name on it. Then she says we can order it and it will be here tomorrow, but call first and make sure. I can't even believe how terrible the service was and how unprofessional they were. I proceeded to take my prescription to Giant, where it was taken care of (the non generic brand), with the same insurance card I gave Rite Aid, in less than 15 minutes. This pharmacy doesn't appear to have enough employees to manage filling the prescriptions at the counter, and the drive through. Lines are long. No regard for people's time. Therefore, its a waste of time. Only one or 2 at the most have ever provided service with a smile. The drive through is a joke. One bay works, the other one which is suppose to be drop off, is now drop off and pick up. Even worse, is trying to exit and drive past a too small driveway, that also has large storage boxes taking up part of the lane. Upon exciting the store again you see standing lines. The workers are not trained in customer service. It's a shame, because this store has a great location, in a great community. I've been coming for over a decade an have seen how it has grown from just a few cars in the parking lot, to being regularly full. But that will change, if a store Manager or Regional Manager get serious about fixing the culture of the store employee's and invest more in training the workers. read more

This Rite Aid Pharmacy is the worst. Service is deplorable. I have been waiting for a refill on my medication since 4/3/20. I called the doctor's office to verify that the request was received and it was never completed. I called multiple times to follow up. Today 4/28/20, I was transferred to the Pharmacist who informed me that he can not drop everything he is doing to take care of my medicine refill. He was rude and his customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. I hung up on him and contacted my alternate pharmacy who will have my medicine available in 48 hours. I've been here before for a few purchases, that part is fine - the one star review is for the pharmacy. I wanted to get my flu shot there - when I called ahead, they said itd take 10-15 minutes. It actually took them 50 minutes, and they forgot that I was waiting twice (once after handing in my form, once after bringing me into the consultation room). The pharmacy was not busy (3 customers tops in the time I was there). Bring a book. read more
