I have an acute medical issue, so yesterday my doctor writes a prescription for it and sends it here. It's supposed to be filled by that afternoon, but they tell me to come back first thing in the morning. I come back at 9:00 AM, and it's not filled. "Come back in 2 hours," they say. I give it 4 hrs to be safe. "It's not filled yet...come back at 5:00. I come back at 5:00, and there's a line of 40 people. I have an acute medical issue, and I have to stand in line for 45 minutes (the drive-through was closed all day). Fuck a dog for an hour, Rite Aid. Eat shit for an hour and a half. read more

I absolutely DO NOT recommend this location. They always mess up my mother's prescription, so I don't know how they're still in business. Every single time she needs her medicine, they manage to either charge the wrong card, give her the wrong amount, or refuse to give her the prescription she needs that is on file and gets every month. Their delivery service is a joke, and they're always seems to be an issue with that as well, which is ridiculous since they only need to drive for 5 minutes. They don't know how to do their job, and these people are dealing with medication. We will NEVER do business the Palo Cedro Rite Aid location again. read more

I have never come across a pharmacy that is as inept as this one. continually dropping the ball and placing you on infinite hold, 20 plus minutes, only to call back and no one answers. The people at this pharmacy either don't care about the patients they serve or should be shoveling dirt for a living. Waited until after 1pm to get a text telling me my prescriptions were ready. My prescriptions were faxed in on 8/26. I drive here and they won't let me have them because "Someone " is at lunch! What kind of crap is this? I haven't had my medication all day and now I have to wait. This is very poor customer service, especially for my 1st visit. I want our small personal Owens Pharmacy back! I felt it necessary to edit my review and it doesn't get better. I pay cash for my prescriptions. Two medications were about $90 more than I paid at Owens. So again another issue with the pharmacy! My Doctor called in a medication I need for Meniere's Disease and as usual we pulled up the Good RX app and because the medication was coming up at 75.00 Dollars. Per the Good Rd app it should have been 43.99. The pharmacies on Good RX under contract to fill these prescriptions at the price shown. Clearly this is the last time I will be using this pharmacy. They are a joke. They refused to honor the Good RX coupon and I went back in to other stores it is ridiculously low at all other stores. Less than a fourth of the price at Raley's. So I get back on the phone with the pharmacist they refused and said the coupon won't work and won't allow it. Good RX tells me they are under contract and they have to give it to me at that price. The pharmacy staff tells me they do not have to give it to us at that price. Filed a complaint with Good RX and with the Rite Aid headquarters. Nothing but issues with this store from every single person I have ever known that has gone there. It is a shame but people need to stop spending their money at a store that does not take care of their customers. They have so many customers that use this pharmacy from Shingletown. I am posting on this on Shingletown website. Don't use their Pharmacy they will not honor what they are contracted to and they tried to say they are a separate company and yet on the app it is shown that they are contracted. If you are going to be a customer service business then maybe you should learn how to treat customers. It is so frustrating to give your business to a company that doesn't give a damn about anything but taking your money. Shame on Rite Aid for this! Never spending another dime there. I hope people read this before going there. They are the second most expensive behind Walgreens. When the other stores are less than a fourth of the cost, where would you go?? Multiple issues, I call my prescription days ahead of time but come to pick it up and they don't start filling it until they actually talk to you either physically or on the phone. Had a prescription sent on a Saturday to drive down and find them closed. I was frustrated the first time this happened but was going to be around so I could wait an hour. I don't want to wait around 2 hours when I called to have it refilled 2 days ago. read more

This pharmacy is good at times then bad . It's bad when they a pharmacist that is controlling and dosent understand the laws . I had an upcoming surgery and lovenox was ordered on April 2 nd . This is for blood clots after having a major surgery. I received my other meds except something I really needed to prevent blood clots . When I called they said I need a prior authorization. I just had the same surgery 2 months ago and it was fine I got all my meds needed . they said they sent a prior authorization to my doctor and when I called my doctor a prior authorization wasn't sent to them . It wasn't needed before. Then my provider put a order in today for oxycodone IR . I take vicoprofen for my normal pain . Im allergic to Tylenol so I have to take ibuprofen products . i explained that I can't take vicoproven because it's a blood thinner and I have to take aspirin and lovenox so I would bleed if I took something that is an extra blood thinner. So he says he has to talk to the provider at which point I gave him her cell phone number and explained Ive been released. She still hasn't heard from the pharmacist yet . This guy is new I have never dealt with before . Unfortunately I didn't get his name just noticed he had a accent ! Absolutely the worst ever. Long, long waits on the phone (even hang ups where I have to call in again, over and over) then they don't have the script or the medication. I live 40 miles out and I've taken that long trip before just to be turned away, so now I try to call first to make sure the meds are ready...can't get anyone to even answer the darn phone so I won't make a wasted trip. I have always liked the riteaid pharmacy in Palo Cedro until yesterday. I had a Good Rx coupon for a prescription and the Pharmacy would not accept it because it was a "control substance ". I had to pay 4 times the cost of the coupon. This Pharmacy no longer cares about its customers. read more

I have never dealt with people that don't know the difference between a filled and not filled prescription. On several occasions I have had to make multiple trips for a single order. Really truly they are very poor at delivering. I have had several scripts called in here and every single time they say they haven't received a call from the physician. Every single time I've had to call the physicians office and have them resend or recall, sometimes it takes more two or more calls. If you take in a hard copy usually no issues. You just have to vigilant with them or you fall through the cracks. I would not recommend them. read more

Three times now they have said they don't have scripts from multiple different doctors. All doctors have confirmed they sent them.

I needed a simple RX transferred to Rite Aid. Was told to give them an hour. 4 hours later I called them back to ensure the prescription was ready before driving 35 miles, and was told they had received the fax and it would be ready in an hour. We drive all the way down only to be told that they never received the fax! This is unacceptable and totally unprofessional. Instead of apologizing the girl was rude as hell. I will never step foot in any Rite aid again. read more

June 2016 my daughter (who just turned 28) almost died giving birth to my grandson. She was on life support for several weeks and we were told she wouldn't make it. She pulled through, but woke up to an ileostomy and end stage renal failure. The extent of her journey this past 16 months has been tremendous. On October 30th she underwent an extensive surgery at UCSF (making this surgery #27) which took 7 hours to complete and an 8 day stay. Last night we had a scare with her having severe nausea and pain in her abdomen so we went to the ER. They checked her over and told her that because of how huge the surgery was she would need some meds. They gave us 2 prescriptions and sent us home. Last night we were having a big rain storm. We drive out to Palo Cedro where we live and take her prescriptions into Rite Aid to get them filled. They told her it would take a half hour to fill but to make sure she was back before 8pm because they close then. We usually use Owens across the street, but they close at 6pm. She goes back into Rite Aid at 7:50pm and they tell her that because she uses Owens they will not fill her prescriptions. I thought that it must be a mistake so I call. I tell them what my daughter tells me and the lady (Leticia) says yes that is correct. She then tells me that if I want to have all of my daughter's meds (which are quite a few beings how she is in end stage renal failure and in need of a transplant in addition to the other meds she takes to keep her alive) moved from Owens to Rite Aid she will go ahead and fill it for her. I was appalled. Seriously??? I explained the situation to her and she said that is policy have a nice night and hung up on me. I had to drive back to Redding in the pouring down rain with a 16 month old and my daughter to go to Walgreens and have them filled. Shame on you Rite Aid!! Where is the customer service in this?? You put my whole family at risk last night. This is the worst pharmacy staff ever!! Palo Cedro is a small community and we usually stand together. I wouldn't send anyone to this pharmacy. We highly recommend Owens where you are treated with respect and have great customer service. They go above and beyond!!! The only reason I gave 1 star is because I had to oh and they did answer the phone. read more

Every time i pick up my rx there is some type of problem, the biggest problem is they dont have it ready for pick up after dropping the rx off, even if i dropped it off one week prior! Dont come here for rx unless you are forced to! Horrible wait times and the customer service is stale! They had a pharmacist that was a temp and he yelled at me in the speaker! I am very unhappy with my service at this pharmacy. I try to give my business to local businesses, but I cannot continue to get my medications filled here. I have been into the store 3 times and called 4 times to try to get my prescription which has not even been filled yet (even though I was told it is ready). There has to be better approach taken by this pharmacy and their management. read more

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially during these challenging times. They have found items for us on the shelves and let us pick them up through the drive-up pharmacy window when we're picking up our prescriptions. We can't thank them enough. read more

Have had nothing but great service from the pharmacy, love them all. They're all Rockstars as far as I'm concerned!
