When I arrived I waited in a longer than normal line to get service. When it was my turn I was told only one of the 2 prescriptions was filled. They had no record of the second one. The clerk transferred me to the pharmacist who searched further on the computer and found it. He said it was "lost in the system". It needed to be filled. I said ok I'll be patient. Then he said come back in 40 minutes because he was closing the pharmacy for lunch. I said I have perishables inside the car and it's 98 degrees outside. He said "I'm sorry, come back in 40 minutes." Now you would think if this was my fault or I arrived just at lunch time to have a prescription filled I could understand waiting around. But it wasn't my fault. You would think he would have taken 5 minutes to fill the lost prescription rather making me wait 40+ minutes with perishables inside the car. Very poor customer service.

The tech got me checked in, got the meds out of the cooler and notified the Pharmacist, and instructed me to take a seat. While waiting only 2 people approached the counter. At 8:45 I informed the person who had checked me in, an asked how much longer. She spoke with the pharmacist in form it would be about 10 more minutes before he could do my injection. I informed that I would not continue to wait, and would get my vaccination elsewhere. They require an appointment to receive a vaccination, but then expect you to wait indefinitely after arriving early.

This Walgreens is nice and clean with a huge wrap around parking lot. The also have a drive through pharmacy around back that usually never has lines. There have been many problems using this pharmacy since we moved our prescriptions after Rite Aid shut down. The staff either don't care about people or their jobs, except for a few people, like Cassie. The line is almost always 3 to twenty people long. They don't move with any sense of purpose. I think part of the problem is that the workspace is inadequate. They must have at least a thousand prescriptions a day, and they are working in such a confined space. Also, the basic operations are never up to par, which, reflex's poor management. The saddest part is watching elderly customers having to stand in line for 20-30 minutes just to find out their stuff isn't ready. If they need a chair there's only three. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I feel bad for all of the people who have been mistreated here. Even if you try to call ahead of time to see if your stuff is ready, good luck talking to someone. Having been a Store Manager for a large retail store, there is so much room for improvement, but it starts with the leadership which is clearly lacking. I recommend trying somewhere else!!!

Rite aid told me that Medi-cal will NOT COVER ANY opioid pain medication and that my meds would cost $1255.00 per month qty 180 Instead I went to Costco and at the time they did not accept Medi-cal for any persons or prescriptions so my meds were costing $65.79 per month qty 180. I believe that Rite aid is prejudiced against those having to take opioid and those on Medi-cal. They also violate hippa laws and will share your medical information with third party marketing services with out your permission! I will NEVER have any prescriptions filled at any Rite aid pharmacies in the future!

Before and after that, I can report weekly positive experiences. My elderly mother was on several meds and they got it right. Dane for the rest of the family. Problems were usually solved within five minutes and for sticky problems, I got in Yvonne's line. The woman is a magician. If I needed a med for Mom, she made it happen (unless it was in the doctors end but even then she got it done ASAP). You don't many people like her. Of course she often isn't working and the others are good, too. I appreciate that the retail section is best and clean. It's better stocked than many other drugstores and if I see it on their website or app and it's supposed to be at this location, it almost always is. Again, unlike their competitors. At this location I am shears greeted at the door. People are helpful. I wanted a tiny tube of Vaseline for my lips once and an employee walked the store with me, checking five location as well as digging through the inventory in the back. I'm sure issues emerge with about-to-be-fired staff or others having a bad day. People steal items so it's incorrectly listed on the app. Compared to other stores, this CVS is leaps and bounds ahead.
