I have been going to this pharmacy for over 30 years, since it was Thrifty drug. Been getting medication monthly there for around 20 years. The old pharmacy staff was great; prompt, courteous, nice to talk to. The pharmacy has changed hands several times over the last few years. The service now is a joke, or a disgrace. They frequently don't answer their phone. Prescriptions are seldom ready on schedule. Lines are long. Their automated phone system is no longer reliable. Today was the last straw: they refused to fill the same prescription I've been getting monthly for twenty years from them because I was ONE DAY too early (one day last month I took two pills instead of one). Their policy, said the young kid pharmacist I had never seen before in 30 years. This pharmacy has gone downhill to nowhere. If you have an alternative, use it. read more

Unfortunately when a cashier calls for backup, no one comes to help the 10 plus customers standing in line. Such a shame. Took more time to stand in line and pay then the shopping altogether. Wouldn't recommend if you need to dash in for 1 or 2 things... read more

This used to be a good pharmacy but over the years as personnel has changed they have become terrible. The pharmacy here does not follow up with doctors when calling in refills so you might put your refill in on Monday and still not get it a week and a half later. Moreover they begrudge having to do their job and do little microaggressions to let you know they are unhappy. The poor attitude and laziness seems to be especially strong with the pharmacist Jenny T. They will lose more and more customers, as they should. It's unacceptable to be so rude and unprofessional, especially when plate already not feeling well. read more

after 7+ years of using this Rite Aid Pharmacy, i am at my limit with how the pharmacy is run. dont get me wrong, the store itself is GREAT... the pharmacy us awful , either they hire cheep labor or management doesn't support the staff properly or I don't know what. The staff in general at the counter is unconcerned with losing customers, or maybe its a blessing if they are just simply too busy to service everyone. no idea... but today i moved everything to Walgreen's on Hawthorne and Artesia. when I went in this morning to pick up my last scrip... feeling bad about abandoning RiteAid, when it was my turn at the counter, they were ringing me up for 2 scrips... when i asked, what are these? why are there 2 (as they've changed my daily script twice on me due to pharmacy distributors or whatever jargon they gave me at the time, turns out they had placed someone else's script in the same pouch as mine... name wasn't even close to mine, no clue, just "oh".. ok so then i ask, do I need to sign something or do anything else formal to transfer she said just have them call, which I know Walgreen's did, and had been holding for over 15 minutes, which I conveyed to the counter lady at which time she just gave me back a blank stare that I took to mean - .."great, thanks for removing some of our stress because we are all over worked and understocked [which they always seem to be] and you are doing us a huge favor,",.. at least that's how I took it. read more

I am extremely frustrated with their pharmacy services. Phone system said script would be filled by 3:35pm. Arrived at 5:35pm on a Tuesday only to wait in line for 25 minutes and be told the script wasn't filed yet when I arrived to the counter. Went back the next day. Waited in line another 10 minutes. So in total, 2 stops plus 35 minutes just waiting in line to pick up. They've lost all my business now as I will fill my scripts elsewhere and by other items while I'm there. This was the 3rd time I've waited in line for an exorbitant amount of time. Pharmacists are very friendly and knowledgeable however. They just need to learn how to manage the lines better (people waiting in line vs. sitting to wait) and not letting people sitting to wait hop in before their name is called. Might be better if they had a line for people who wanted consultations as most people had very long consultations as they got to the counter. read more

I just left this store. Horrible, I walked in and went to get what wanted. The manager passed me and than stopped and acted like he was fixing something. Then as I went down other aisle collecting more items. He came back with a price checker as he saw me going to counter to pay he immediately changed his mind as he fumbled with the gadget looking confused. I told the cashier I changed my mind , I don't want anything since I'm being followed around the store. I was so upset to see that profiling still exists no matter where you go. I go here late at night sometimes for quick runs when myself or family need something ASAP, I live around the corner and have been going here for years. I usually stroll the makeup isle because I'm always needing things for the next day, whenever I do I have a security guard on my ass the entire time watching me, and then over the entire store I hear "check the cameras". Every. Single. Time. I can't browse the makeup without feeling as if I'm a criminal. I've never stolen anything in my life and they make me feel so uncomfortable like I'm going to steal something by looking at it. The security guard is a jerk. He knows I can see him watching me and it freaks me out even when I'm not doing anything wrong! Don't go here unless you want to be profiled as a thief. I'm very disappointed in rite aid, I can not walk in this store without feeling like it's pre determined that I'm going to commit theft. And yes the small Asian lady is a bitch and is always talking to the security guard the second she sees me. Don't expect to get any service at the register late at night, the security guard will have to call someone over the entire store to check you out. Worst service, uncomfortable environment, prices are out the roof and they can't hold a staff because it's so awful here. Go to CVS on PCH, they are a lot nicer. read more

The reason I am giving this store a one star rating is because first of all, whenever I have to drop off my medication I am standing in the drop off window for at least 10 minutes with at least 3 to 6 workers behind the counter absolutely ignoring my presence. Most of the time they don't even have my medication anyway or they tel me they have it but when I go pick it up a few hours later or even a day later, they say they don't have it in stock. What the hell...I do not know why I keep going to the pharmacy because every experience I have had here has been awful. I've gone there over five times and each time nothing goes right. The people who work there aren't even nice or apologetic about their service, rather they are rude and not understanding that some people need their medication. I've been super nice every time I go in there and I usually never write bad reviews on anything however this time it has got to be one time too many. read more

Worst customer service ever! Here's why: The short Asian Lady (cashier number 54825163) That I see in here at night for the past 8 months when I come in with my girlfriend to get ice cream every now and again is ALWAYS RUDE. doesn't treat us like customers instead she's upset about having to be there. Atleast that's what her attitude shows. It's kind of funny how there's a sign that says "Now Hiring Friendly Associates" but she's the farthest from that. Today, as in a few mins ago, I was getting ice cream and she slowly walked over with an attitude already and a look on her face that she doesn't want to help me. She proceeds to get me ice cream that I kindly asked for and then slammed the ice cream glass cases because i didn't want Mint n chip? Really?... anyways I work sales retail and have been doing it for 6 years and I know that when YOU ARE CLOCKED IN you give 100% to the customer no matter what, now I can see if the customers being unreasonable then call for a manager to take care of it but I wasn't. I just wanted some ice cream and was treated poorly and didn't feel welcomed by a "friendly associate" sorry Rite Aid but I will not come here for anything again including the great ice cream. Maybe management should look into this and employee and have her not fired but a firm warning and tell her "when you're clocked in, you give your 100% best for the customer" not treat them like you don't care about there experience in store or make them feel welcomed. PS. Not even a smile or anything.. the security guard is more friendly than her. read more

The staff is very rude and the 15 minute guarantee is a joke. I take certain medications for a reason and when I go in there they treat me like a drug addict trying to get my fix. I never used drugs and felt very insulted; the medications I take are not by choice. A set of circumstances requires me to take the medications I take that were out of my control. When I go in there they judge me and treat me like trash, one time I said I would be right back. Came back an hour later and the lady acted like I was crazy and the Indian guy there was acting like a total jerk. I don't have this problem at other pharmacies and would never use a Rite Aid again even if they gave me my medicine for free. Please trust my review and don't use Rite Aid, if you take pain medications in a wheel chair. Your automatically hooked on narcotics to them. read more

I'm blown away by this store with it's recent makeover. I've visited this store since about 1996 and mostly because it was close to my daily grind. It was a painful experience, until lately. All of a sudden the store flows from the moment you walk through the front door. It's looks twice as big and the selections are much better. They now carry higher end wines that are laid out in wine crates like a high end wine store! Saw some nice labels. The check out process was much smoother which is a big deal for this store. Employees now seem to enjoy working there so the manager is doing something right. I was asked if I needed a flu shot. It was 9 PM and there was someone available in pharmacy! I passed on the shot but good to know. I hear Rite Aid is making progress with Wall Street as well. It's easy to see why with this transformation. Could be a five star for me in the near future. read more
