This pharmacy is constantly giving me the run around about prescriptions with pharmacy reps consistently offering conflicting and contradictory guidance. Sometimes they accept goodrx... sometimes I'm told "we don't participate, or we only selectively participate and its been that way for years." Ok... Sometimes i get my requested text for refills, sometimes i don't. The best was last month when I called to make sure my refill for a daily prescription medication would be processed, which they already have on file and are expected to automatically refill, and was told "well we're just really busy today so you may have to wait until tomorrow." WHAT? Today when I called to check in on my monthly refill i was told its not due until tomorrow... upon asking a pharmacist named Eileen what date the med. was filled last month, she verified that it IS actually due today, but rite aid was out of stock with the medication and id have to wait until tomorrow... so which is it? Am i really a day early? Or is rite aid just behind the 8ball? When i politely pressed, she told me I'M really supposed to call a few days in advance if i want my meds on time, which also contradicts what other reps have advised (don't call ahead its not due yet...). The reps attitude that followed was the icing on a very dry and tasteless cake... and is every reason i have previously switched other medications to another pharmacy. Today, rite aid has officially lost my business... I'm a 2x childhood cancer survivor who works in healthcare and has spent her life navigating our broken system... i don't have time for belittling attitude from a pharmacy that doesn't know its patients, or its company policies, from a hole in the wall. To conclude, i just got the below text, one stating medication is out of stock, followed by a text a few min later saying the med. is ready to pick up... rite aid! Can you please get it together!

They've always been the place where I get my prescriptions filled. The last 2 years, we've gotten our flu shots here. I am confident in their pharmacy staff. Since my grocery store left (sniff, sniff) and now that we live within walking distance, it's become more of a Quick-e-mart for us. We drop in to get snacks (when the kids have a no-school day), milk and love their buy one get one or discounted cereals. We also shop for most cosmetics, batteries and cold-remedies here. Let's not forget the Thrifty ice cream! The store is always clean and the staff is always friendly. PLUS I love that they have the Plenti points reward system and since my phone bill is on the same network, I get tossed money to spend at the store every now and then. LOVE IT!

On 10/25/2020 I went to Rite Aid 1720 Aviation Blvd. in Redondo Beach to pick up my prescription and return a few items. I spoke to Nassir the pharmacist (who knows me very well as a customer over the last 8 years) while picking up my medication and that I needed to return the reading glasses I bought from him a few weeks ago and some vitamins my mother bought for me that I already have. He told me I had to go to the front cashier to return the items. The front cashier said I needed a receipt to return the items and I explained I pick up the glasses from Nassir a few weeks ago, he'll remember because I made a whole issue how I needed readers at 2.25 and I bought 2.50 and told him they probably won't work and how it's a hassle Rite Aid doesn't carry the full line of magnification readers. The other 2 items I explained to the cashier where purchased by my 81 year old mother with Alzheimers at the Rite Aid on 401 N. Pacific Coast HWY in Redondo Beach. My mother shops there 3-4 times a week with her roommate and the entire store there knows my mother. My mother spends $100's a week there and I'll give you her Rite Aid Locality # if you like to look up her shopping patterns. Again, my mother has Alzheimer's, she likes to buy things for me and sometimes buys the same things for me, thus we need to return them. Sometimes we have a receipt, but most times she can't find it or threw it away. So on this day 10/25/2020 I wanted to return to bottles of vitamins my mother bought last week that I already have. The cashier told me that I can return the items, but not at full value without a receipt. I asked what the restocking fee was and she asked me to scan my driver's license to determine the value of return. So I did and she said the glasses would be a refund of $5 and put on a gift card. I told her that's crazy, glasses where almost $20 and she can go ask Nassir the pharmacist for confirmation I bought them there a few weeks ago. She said she can't do that and would need to get a manager, so she paged a manager. Sunday afternoon 12:00 pm, super quiet in the store, maybe only 2 other customers in the entire store and there is NO MANGER coming. The cashier pages the manager a second time and again after several minutes there is no manager. I have now run out of time, patience and energy and I told the cashier I need a full refund on a gift card for these 3 items and left the store leaving those items and forgetting my medication. Please advise when my gift card is ready for pick up for the full value of these returned items pictured below.

Generally this place is average but at times below. They have a "no solicitation" sign on the font entry, right behind a solicitor disobeying the sign. In one breath, I feel bad or even guilty with these organized solicitors, not panhandlers, who are there to support their cause... but as a consumer, it's sort of like when you're walking down Melrose Ave or Venice Beach and there's that random rapper who wants to "give" you his mix tape CD and you do everything in your power to avoid him as if you were a contestant in American Ninja Challenge... with these solicitors, you feel bad to ignore them as if they're invisible and non-existent yet you feel awkward passing them by then engaging in conversion culminating to justify why you can't donate. I'd much rather avoid that situation all-together quite frankly and knowing they're there, I want to avoid those situations, probably by not patronizing the store if I can avoid it. I have a more formal process to who, when and how much I donate to charities, so it's not as if I'm against it, nor too cheap to help out, but I'm not in a position with time nor money to help everyone at the same time. The low experience review actually comes from a direct result of the solicitor, when he was engaging with some lady and her friend and they were stopping to listen to his pitch, and between his set up chair and table blocking the entry and these two ladies blocking the pathway, I had to navigate around them with my purchases in one hand and toting a child in another, yet the lady suddenly moved forward in the bitchest self-entitled tone proclaimed "can we get through?" as if it were her birthright to have the right of way, which left a bad taste and experience in shopping at this Rite Aid which I'm boycotting 'til I cool down. I think the lady was with her mother, as the other lady was older and I think was so embarrassed by her 50+ year old daughter she stopped, yielded and smiled somewhat apologetically on behalf of her rude daughter. So, the bottom line is... if Rite Aid is going to put out a "No Solicitor" sign proclaiming in a very verbose and legalese manner why people can't panhandle in front of the store, they should then enforce that rule, otherwise chaos emerges and situations arise.

This used to be a good pharmacy but over the years as personnel has changed they have become terrible. The pharmacy here does not follow up with doctors when calling in refills so you might put your refill in on Monday and still not get it a week and a half later. Moreover they begrudge having to do their job and do little microaggressions to let you know they are unhappy. The poor attitude and laziness seems to be especially strong with the pharmacist Jenny T. They will lose more and more customers, as they should. It's unacceptable to be so rude and unprofessional, especially when plate already not feeling well. read more

Trying to get a much needed prescription? Don't go here. Finding the pharmacy hours is harder than curing cancer. This place blows. 24 hours for shitty cards but like 8 hours a day for shit you really need. read more

after 7+ years of using this Rite Aid Pharmacy, i am at my limit with how the pharmacy is run. dont get me wrong, the store itself is GREAT... the pharmacy us awful , either they hire cheep labor or management doesn't support the staff properly or I don't know what. The staff in general at the counter is unconcerned with losing customers, or maybe its a blessing if they are just simply too busy to service everyone. no idea... but today i moved everything to Walgreen's on Hawthorne and Artesia. when I went in this morning to pick up my last scrip... feeling bad about abandoning RiteAid, when it was my turn at the counter, they were ringing me up for 2 scrips... when i asked, what are these? why are there 2 (as they've changed my daily script twice on me due to pharmacy distributors or whatever jargon they gave me at the time, turns out they had placed someone else's script in the same pouch as mine... name wasn't even close to mine, no clue, just "oh".. ok so then i ask, do I need to sign something or do anything else formal to transfer she said just have them call, which I know Walgreen's did, and had been holding for over 15 minutes, which I conveyed to the counter lady at which time she just gave me back a blank stare that I took to mean - .."great, thanks for removing some of our stress because we are all over worked and understocked [which they always seem to be] and you are doing us a huge favor,",.. at least that's how I took it. read more

I just left this store. Horrible, I walked in and went to get what wanted. The manager passed me and than stopped and acted like he was fixing something. Then as I went down other aisle collecting more items. He came back with a price checker as he saw me going to counter to pay he immediately changed his mind as he fumbled with the gadget looking confused. I told the cashier I changed my mind , I don't want anything since I'm being followed around the store. I was so upset to see that profiling still exists no matter where you go. People please STOP read more

I go here late at night sometimes for quick runs when myself or family need something ASAP, I live around the corner and have been going here for years. I usually stroll the makeup isle because I'm always needing things for the next day, whenever I do I have a security guard on my ass the entire time watching me, and then over the entire store I hear "check the cameras". Every. Single. Time. I can't browse the makeup without feeling as if I'm a criminal. I've never stolen anything in my life and they make me feel so uncomfortable like I'm going to steal something by looking at it. The security guard is a jerk. He knows I can see him watching me and it freaks me out even when I'm not doing anything wrong! Don't go here unless you want to be profiled as a thief. I'm very disappointed in rite aid, I can not walk in this store without feeling like it's pre determined that I'm going to commit theft. And yes the small Asian lady is a bitch and is always talking to the security guard the second she sees me. Don't expect to get any service at the register late at night, the security guard will have to call someone over the entire store to check you out. Worst service, uncomfortable environment, prices are out the roof and they can't hold a staff because it's so awful here. Go to CVS on PCH, they are a lot nicer. read more

I am extremely frustrated with their pharmacy services. Phone system said script would be filled by 3:35pm. Arrived at 5:35pm on a Tuesday only to wait in line for 25 minutes and be told the script wasn't filed yet when I arrived to the counter. Went back the next day. Waited in line another 10 minutes. So in total, 2 stops plus 35 minutes just waiting in line to pick up. They've lost all my business now as I will fill my scripts elsewhere and by other items while I'm there. This was the 3rd time I've waited in line for an exorbitant amount of time. Pharmacists are very friendly and knowledgeable however. They just need to learn how to manage the lines better (people waiting in line vs. sitting to wait) and not letting people sitting to wait hop in before their name is called. Might be better if they had a line for people who wanted consultations as most people had very long consultations as they got to the counter. read more

The reason I am giving this store a one star rating is because first of all, whenever I have to drop off my medication I am standing in the drop off window for at least 10 minutes with at least 3 to 6 workers behind the counter absolutely ignoring my presence. Most of the time they don't even have my medication anyway or they tel me they have it but when I go pick it up a few hours later or even a day later, they say they don't have it in stock. What the hell...I do not know why I keep going to the pharmacy because every experience I have had here has been awful. I've gone there over five times and each time nothing goes right. The people who work there aren't even nice or apologetic about their service, rather they are rude and not understanding that some people need their medication. I've been super nice every time I go in there and I usually never write bad reviews on anything however this time it has got to be one time too many. read more

Worst customer service ever! Here's why: The short Asian Lady (cashier number 54825163) That I see in here at night for the past 8 months when I come in with my girlfriend to get ice cream every now and again is ALWAYS RUDE. doesn't treat us like customers instead she's upset about having to be there. Atleast that's what her attitude shows. It's kind of funny how there's a sign that says "Now Hiring Friendly Associates" but she's the farthest from that. Today, as in a few mins ago, I was getting ice cream and she slowly walked over with an attitude already and a look on her face that she doesn't want to help me. She proceeds to get me ice cream that I kindly asked for and then slammed the ice cream glass cases because i didn't want Mint n chip? Really?... anyways I work sales retail and have been doing it for 6 years and I know that when YOU ARE CLOCKED IN you give 100% to the customer no matter what, now I can see if the customers being unreasonable then call for a manager to take care of it but I wasn't. I just wanted some ice cream and was treated poorly and didn't feel welcomed by a "friendly associate" sorry Rite Aid but I will not come here for anything again including the great ice cream. Maybe management should look into this and employee and have her not fired but a firm warning and tell her "when you're clocked in, you give your 100% best for the customer" not treat them like you don't care about there experience in store or make them feel welcomed. PS. Not even a smile or anything.. the security guard is more friendly than her. read more

The staff is very rude and the 15 minute guarantee is a joke. I take certain medications for a reason and when I go in there they treat me like a drug addict trying to get my fix. I never used drugs and felt very insulted; the medications I take are not by choice. A set of circumstances requires me to take the medications I take that were out of my control. When I go in there they judge me and treat me like trash, one time I said I would be right back. Came back an hour later and the lady acted like I was crazy and the Indian guy there was acting like a total jerk. I don't have this problem at other pharmacies and would never use a Rite Aid again even if they gave me my medicine for free. Please trust my review and don't use Rite Aid, if you take pain medications in a wheel chair. Your automatically hooked on narcotics to them. read more

I'm blown away by this store with it's recent makeover. I've visited this store since about 1996 and mostly because it was close to my daily grind. It was a painful experience, until lately. All of a sudden the store flows from the moment you walk through the front door. It's looks twice as big and the selections are much better. They now carry higher end wines that are laid out in wine crates like a high end wine store! Saw some nice labels. The check out process was much smoother which is a big deal for this store. Employees now seem to enjoy working there so the manager is doing something right. I was asked if I needed a flu shot. It was 9 PM and there was someone available in pharmacy! I passed on the shot but good to know. I hear Rite Aid is making progress with Wall Street as well. It's easy to see why with this transformation. Could be a five star for me in the near future. read more

Hope they continue to provide great service as they have been. Plenty of parking outside and around the buildings plus the structure in the building next door.

But as luck would have it, I came close to running out, so I needed to make a pharmacy run for more. I had a bit of time to lookup where I'd find what I needed most affordable and CVS came up. This happened to be conveniently located nearest where I was at the time. So I came through. found what I needed immediately, went to the self-checkout and scanned my items. And even a nicer surprise: the items I got had an additional discount simply by adding a phone number (being a CVS shopper and all.) TIP: expect a really long receipt if you opt to have it printed. But take a few seconds to look through it - you can avail even more discounts for future purchases. It was a convenient and good first run. Will come through again should I find myself in this neighborhood with a pharmacy need in the future.

But since I needed it I had no choice. I didn't see any staff members in the store at all and then I went to self checkout which made life easy on getting what I needed, paying for it and being out the door. The store itself seem clean and seemed easy to find what I was looking for. The pharmacy itself wasn't open but it was after 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday so that could have been why. It was nice that this was adjacent to the hotel I was staying at.

Switching to Premier Family Pharmacy has been a breath of fresh air…read more I used to use big box pharmacies (think Rite Aid and later CVS) and finally threw in the towel after experiences getting refills or new prescriptions left me in tears on multiple occasions. I should have switched years ago. At this Pharmacy, the owner knows me by name. He always picks up my calls (or if I hit voicemail he immediately calls me back). He proactively calls me about medication refills. He calls my doctors (and doesn't lie about it like CVS does). Every conversation is filled with "thank you" and "I appreciate your choosing us." My medications are ready hours after my doctor prescribes them. Payam treats his clients like royalty and switching to his pharmacy has decreased my stress levels. The big brand pharmacies don't care about you or your business. I think that when you need medication quickly and safely it's important that someone does care. I'd urge anyone reading this to switch to their local small pharmacy and, if you live or work around Torrance, this pharmacy is a particularly good one!

I was able to fill it online, then when I went in the following day, they acted like I was crazy and said it never existed. When I pushed them, they agreed it actually did exist, but apparently it expired a few days before. They accidentally used a more recent prescription to refill a few months ago and let the older prescription run out and expire (6 months). Then when I paid $200 to have a telehealth appointment to have a new prescription sent in, that day, they then told me they would not accept the good RX card on a controlled substance. That's not a law in California or with CVS just "their location." I've called around to every other pharmacy and they said of course they take good RX card for any prescription. We had plenty of time to catch up, and they didn't mind that we sat there chatting together for a while. The Estiva pizza was one of the best bites of pizza I've had in a long time, and I was honestly so happy there was a slice to take home because I enjoyed it that much. Kind couple serving delicious home-style Italian food that, for me, was better than anything I've had at an elevated Italian spot in this city thus far. They also didn't fill the entire cup with ice which is good. They filled it about a quarter of the cup. Interior is spacious, have tables, they have a corner closed off for employees only. It's a coffee roaster(?). They sell bags of coffee so I assume it's a roaster. My only complaint if I have any, is that for my iced mocha, I didn't see any straws anywhere. I saw lids, wooden stirs, but no straws.

My favorites are the tarts, with the crust being the standout. The cake was extremely light as if eating a cloud. I will definitely be coming back. The drinks were solid too and paired well with everything we ordered. The whole place has a calm neighborhood bakery feel to it, and you can tell it's a spot locals come back to often.

If you enjoy standing in line for long periods of time on Saturday afternoons while the employees here keep only one register open, this place is for you! They are nice, don't get me wrong, but the service is beyond horrible. Word of advice... If there are 13 people in line and you're the only one on a register, don't pick up the phone and proceed to explain to somebody 'question for question' how to fill out their points-card application. Another thing my husband and I just LOVE is how we constantly get harassed by solicitors (and even one guy asking if I believe in God) on the way in AND out of this store. Like, come on guys.. The location is good though so it sucks that management allows this stuff to go on. I really hope they hire some stronger employees and make some changes! read more

Customer service is something hard to come by these days, especially in a big chain store. The pharmacy at this location is far above the rest......its in a complete league of its own! It all comes down to customer service and care. The pharmacist Aline is hands down the sweetest and most professional young lady I have met. She answered all my questions in a very calm and professional matter. She had many customers calling upon her however, she made sure I was 100% satisfied before I left. How is this place still in business! SCARY, inappropriate people saying rude things to everyone who walks in on their doorstep who they allow to sit there and heckle you on your way in AND out of this store!!!! Why would any business allow this? They're dirty, rude, scary people who yell out at you and ask you for money. Worst drug store around. Employees hate their lives and don't care if you stand there waiting forever. Saul is a horrible manager. I'm sorry. He was so rude to me and clearly doesn't want to be there even though he's always there.
