I have been feeling under the weather for a few days and was pretty compliant in terms of over the counter meds. But as luck would have it, I came close to running out, so I needed to make a pharmacy run for more. I had a bit of time to lookup where I'd find what I needed most affordable and CVS came up. This happened to be conveniently located nearest where I was at the time. So I came through. found what I needed immediately, went to the self-checkout and scanned my items. And even a nicer surprise: the items I got had an additional discount simply by adding a phone number (being a CVS shopper and all.) TIP: expect a really long receipt if you opt to have it printed. But take a few seconds to look through it - you can avail even more discounts for future purchases. It was a convenient and good first run. Will come through again should I find myself in this neighborhood with a pharmacy need in the future. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. Kristine Calderon was extremely rude. Today was the 3rd time I had to come back to attempt to pick up my prescription. Yesterday I was here twice due to a blackout. Today I was informed I came by when they closed for lunch. I was informed that my prescription is not covered by insurance which is fine because I have no problem of paying cash. What I don't appreciate is 0 communication informing me of the delay or possibility of not being in stock and the unbelievably unnecessary rudeness. I have to yet again take time out of my schedule to call and figure out the next steps instead of just being proactively informed of the status and options. Extremely awful customer service. Never would I have imagined myself writing a review for CVS and never would I have imagined giving them 5 stars. This is for the customer service I received from Leslie and her manager Miguel. I went in a couple of weeks ago because I had a $10 reward on my CVS ExtraCare card and I needed to stock up on Tylenol. The reward showed up in an email and it also showed up on my CVS app but for some reason it didn't appear when Leslie scanned my app nor did it show up when she put in my phone number. Along comes manager Miguel to help but he also couldn't figure it out. They both spent time trying to sort it out and never appeared annoyed nor dismissive. Miguel finally suggested I call Customer Service and by the way, the customer service representatives were super nice as well. I also want to note that when I was standing in line there was an elderly gentleman in front of me and Leslie showed a lot of patience and kindness towards him. That really made my day. So please do not laugh at my 5 stars for CVS. Leslie and Miguel truly deserve it. read more

I love CVS and usually make a trip at least once, if not twice, a week to the locations in Central LA. This location is the WORST CVS I have ever been to in LA County! I really should have paid attention to the bad Yelp reviews, but it was a convenient stop on the way to an appointment. Lesson learned! This store opens at 8am, but I arrived a few minutes early and patiently waited in my car. The manager (assumed since he "opened" up the store) arrived at 8am, but left the door locked and escaped into the back. I waited a few minutes, but he didn't come up to the front, and the store still wasn't open as evidenced by the gate blocking the door. Another employee walked inside but didn't bother to unlock the door either. I got out of my car and stood outside in front of the door, hoping one of them would take the hint. The manager emerged from the back, clearly saw me standing there, but blatantly ignored me and proceeded to hide behind the counter and get on his phone! A third employee finally arrived and I attempted to follow her inside. She stopped me and said I have to continue waiting outside until she gets a mask on. I left immediately and will NEVER return to this location again!!! First of all, I have worked retail and you are supposed to arrive BEFORE the store is scheduled to open to the public, not at the time of opening or later. Get it together! Secondly, if you are THAT worried about a face covering, why aren't you putting it on before you even get out of your car? The manager didn't even have a mask on when he came back up to the front of the store! Finally, the employees here have ZERO customer service skills and need to look for a different line of work. This is one of the worst CVS stores I've ever been to. I only come here because it's walking distance from my home. I can never find an employee when I have a question and the line is always long. I sent 7 coupons to my CVS card online before coming and only 2 showed up. I even used the coupon printer at the entrance to confirm the coupons had sent to my card. When I got to the cashier she told me that I only had 2. When I showed her the print out, she kept telling me that I can't use one of the coupons because the item was on sale already. She kept repeating this when I asked about the remaining coupons that were supposed to be on my card. Finally I told her never mind and I just paid full price. The worker at the front named Jenny was very rude and passive aggressive after I had asked her if I could simply pick up my medicine. She snapped at me when I didn't understand her question and made me wait for 20 minutes to get the REAL pharmacist. I would give this place a zero star review if I could!! this the worst pharmacy I ever had to deal with. I couldnt get my prescription for an entire week unless I paid out of pocket bc they didnt let me know there were some insurance billing issues until I called and asked. I think they should've told me that it was on hold so I can deal with those issues and get my prescription on time. But instead I had to miss a week off of the medication I need. I signed up for a carepass membership last month and I was excited when I got the email (11/1/19)letting me know that my $10 reward for November was available!! When I came to the store to use it (11/6/19)I was told it had been redeemed(11/3/19)!!! By who!!?? The account is under an old phone number that only myself would still be using!! I had to call customer service and all I was told is that it was redeemed on the third, one day after I got the email!!! I have a feeling that the guy that had me sign up used my phone number and redeemed my $10 coupon that I literally pay for! So lame and now I don't trust it so I had to cancel!! Scott the pharmacist is a rude guy. When I told him I was allergic to a medication he insisted that my allergy was a reaction and not an allergy to the medication. Ok, if my 'reaction' is consistent with the same medication in different forms then it means that I am allergic to that medication. When I pointed that out to Scott he ignored me and insisted that I try the medication that has consistently made me sick again. Scott's negligent behavior is a hazard to public safety. This is really two reviews, a 5 for the front counter people and a 4 for the pharmacy people. Since I deal with the front counter people much more often, the place gets a pretty good overall score of 5. The front counter employees are happy and make friends with the customers, but it is important to note that they still keep the line moving quickly (=no waiting for people to finish chit chatting). I kind of wonder if the workload in the pharmacy is a bit of a grind and responsible for some of the complaints there from others. I am happy to say I have never seen a bad attitude from anybody in the store over the last few years. I recommend CVS take good care of their employees. They have some very good people. read more

If a half star was possible thats what they would be getting, this is specifically for Collett, and Kate who after seeing me for the last two years multiple times a week, wouldn't fill my script that I am now withdrawing severely from. For those of you familiar with chronic pain or just someone who needs regular prescriptions you already know how difficult and expensive it can be. Now I am in between insurance companies, and couldn't afford my script I asked my doctor to call them and ask for a couple PILLs to hold me over. Not only was I declined, but in the rudest of fashions. I understand that being a pharmacist you probably deal with people who are angry all the time, but if your miserable at your job, PICK A NEW PROFESSION. I really can't stand this pharmacy, but due to new insurance I'm stuck with it. I've called in for a refill several times when they've said they have to contact my doctor. Weeks pass and they haven't followed up. They also don't seen to be knowledgeable about current events - pharmaceutical news that's been in the daily news lately (although that's not pertinent, just a gripe). The last time I came in to pick up antibiotics they didn't give me any information - with food/without food/etc. I miss Sav-On that used to be right down the street! I walked into this store with a 30 lb baby in my arms, a 2 year old holding my other hand and a giant diaper bag only to discover there were no shopping carts in the store or outside the store. I asked the lady if there were any carts in the store and she told me they were probably scattered around the back of the parking lot and that I would have to go find one. Being as I was struggling with two kids, I politely asked if I could use this random cart in the store that they were using to stock merchandise, and that was empty except for 2 books. A black lady, maybe a manager or assistant manager, over heard what was going on and said I couldn't and that I had to go get a cart. At this point my baby was screaming and I told her I was going to use the cart to go find a cart. The black lady threw her hands in the air and said.... " THEN I WILL GO FIND ONE FOR YOU!!!" and then mumbled what sounded like was "lazy bi@&" it took her almost 10 minutes to return with a cart being as she had to go to vons to find one. She pushed the cart inside and left it at the door and walked away rolling her eyes. I had to walk to the door and get the cart. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO CVS AS LONG AS I LIVE.
